Takes you back in time! Beautiful place! The road from Honiara City to the Museum is very bad. So if you are planning to visit this place, take a SUV! Entry fees is SBD $100. The place and the relics are beautifully displayed.

Many U.S. planes of 1943 vintage, Grumman Wildcat, Corsair, mcDonnell Douglas, Mitsubishi Betty Bomber, and a couple Japanese planes, and many anti-aircraft guns. Most importantly, beautiful memorials to those fallen from USA, Japan, Fiji, Australia, and NZ. We’ll worth the 90-min drive from Honaria.

A great collection of war relics, all displayed outside with a great commentary about them all from Casper.

I really enjoyed this museum. As others have said it's not your typical museum, rather more a collection of military relics in the jungle, but what made it come to life was the owner (Sylvia) who took her time to talk us through each of the exhibits and how it came to end up there. It's hard to find, and limited phone reception so head for the pin on the map and when you pass a white picket fence on your right it's about another 300m up the road down an old farm track and past some small shacks. Apparently they keep putting signs up for others to just pull down, oh well. Enjoy!

Finding this place without a guide or without Google maps is impossible. It is really worth seeing this nice open air museum in the middle of nowhere. Don't forget your Mosquito repellent...

There was no sign at the turn off so hard to know that there is a war museum there. (Its listed on the tourist map though). Entry fee SID $100 per person. It is just a jungle with war collections so make sure you are covered in repellent. Sylvia, the keeper is the most gorgeous lady and is full of knowledge. It was worth just for a chat with her. There are quite a lot of different pieces and interesting. Make sure you go to the beaches around the area as well and try the local BBQ too.

Fascinating place. The war relics are really interesting and Casper gave me great insight into the various planes and artillery.
