Vincci Ponte de Ferro (Vila Nova de Gaia, Norte) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Most of the Vincci hotels are in Spain, but one of the best is in Portugal, prominently positioned beside the Don Luís I Bridge that connects the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Vincci Ponte de Ferro is on the latter side, housed in a trio of old warehouses originally used to store wines produced in the region. But the restored interiors don’t look like any storage space you’ve ever seen — they’re sleek and industrial, with exposed granite walls, double-high ceilings, and huge wrought iron-framed windows." - Tablet Hotels

We had a absolutely wonderfull experience at this Hotel from 06.10. to 1010.2025. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel geninely wellcome. . Everyone was friendly and beyond to ensure that the stay was perfect. The room was spotless beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable - specially the bed which was one of the best we´ve ever slept in. Bathroom modern and clean. Breakfast and dinner was high quality of fresh and delicous food. The excellent service team with Daniela, Fernanda, Rafaela in the morning and in the evening the mens team (forgot the names) are the best we have ever had - professional and very sympatical. My bithday cake on 07.10. given to me by Daniela I will never gorget. We can´t recommend this place hightly enough and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Porto. Thanks for all you have done for us. We have had a wonderful stay which we never forget. Hans and Amparo

We loved this hotel! Located right outside of Ponte Luis 1 and a major metro stop, it was so convenient to get beautiful views and easy access to many bars and restaurants. The rooms were lovely and the service was great. My fiance and I are recently engaged and the hospitality team provided us with a discounted room upgrade and complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. It was the perfect way to celebrate. Thank you for such a great stay and visit - we will be back!

Exceptionally nice hotel in a great location. Room was excellent and friendliness and helpfulness of staff was even better. Very relaxing place amidst all the hub-bub of Gaia and Porto tourism. ||Other excellent to superb things about the hotel:|| - Hotel is a quiet oasis directly next to the Dom Luis I bridge. I love its design/architecture which maximizes beautiful views of the Douro and Porto while minimizing noise from the crowds and trams that run across the bridge.|| - The breakfast offers everything you could want, in great quality and quantity. They even took notice of my husband’s birthday from when we registered and surprised us with a special dessert. || - The hotel is built into the hillside. It allows you to access the upper area of Gaia and the top level of the bridge or take the elevator down to the first floor and exit the hotel very close to the Gaia waterfront where the port houses are. || - The hotel, including our room, was exceptionally clean. Daily housekeeping was excellent. ||The (very few) things about the hotel that were less than excellent:|| - Parking is available, but getting in and out of the garage is a small challenge. The bellman offered to help us get the car into the garage when we checked in. I declined (of course, because I think I am the world’s greatest driver). After 1 pass by the narrow garage entrance, I went back to take the bellman up on his offer. He was wonderful and helped me get into the garage without incident. || - The size of our room was a little tight. (But still very comfortable.)|| - The WiFi signal in our room (901) was weak and would periodically drop out. I suspect this problem is a matter of which room you have because I didn’t have any WiFi issues in other areas of the hotel. ||We stayed at the Vincci for 5 days during a 3 week trip. It was by far the nicest stay. We loved it here and would stay here again.

We had an excellent experience with the Vincci Ponte de Ferro hotel. The location of the hotel is fabulous being right next to the bridge, the rate was amazingly good and you could not fault the hotel facilities. While they are all crucial to a pleasant stay, the highlight was the front desk staff who arranged for a very early check in and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Porto.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vincci Ponte de Ferro. The location is unbeatable—right beside the Ponte Luís I Bridge with stunning views of the Douro River and Porto’s historic center. My room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were always kind and helpful. The rooftop terrace and pool were a highlight, perfect for relaxing while enjoying breathtaking city views. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied. A perfect choice for comfort, style, and an unforgettable Porto experience!

Our flight was canceled, and we needed a place to stay last minute — what a pleasant surprise! I only wish we had found this hotel for our entire stay in Porto. Everything was perfect, from the friendly service to the incredible food. Thank you for turning an unexpected situation into such a wonderful experience!

I had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent, and the hotel offers a beautiful view. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The service could be improved, but overall, it was a nice experience. The restaurants and cafés in the hotel are a great place to relax and enjoy your time

There were MULTIPLE problems during my stay. For one, the lobby, which can be quoted by others, had a distinctive stench in the lobby and back by the elevators. The staff hung up on me upon (on purpose) calling to make a request to re-clean the room as it wasn't cleaned correctly at all. And there is a lack of dining variety. The staff was just also not friendly nor helpful. I remember asking to use the phone so I could make a call to have a car pick me up because i didn't have a phone and they said no and they said no to their personal phone as well and told me to walk down the street with no phone and no direction of getting their to find a booth. For in room dining services, I asked for spaghetti bolognese without meat and they told me they could make it and arrived with dry noodles and sauteed vegetables, no sauce and forgot part of my order.
