Vinden Wines

Update: Sorry it was actually Angus who assisted us. Though I got the name wrong initially, my experience still holds true 😬 Although I expect *the* Benny Vinden to reply to this review, I still feel it necessary to be candid. As evidenced by many other reviews, Vinden Wines is an exceptional location and winery for many individuals — but unfortunately for me and my husband, it was far from the case. The location is beautiful, and the wine is honestly fairly nice. It's the winemaker who is the problem. From incessantly flirting with the young women around us, to winking at me with a belittling tone of voice when answering questions — the man is quite frankly, insufferably full of himself. I can appreciate a person who knows their craft and is proud. I just can't appreciate someone with an ego of his size as well. He became almost competitive in proving he knows more about wine, when we were just genuinely curious and asking questions. It felt like he had to prove something to us. My word of advice to you, Benny, is to knock your ego down a peg. And my word of advice to other readers of this review — if you don't like being spoken down to, then maybe go elsewhere.

My group of 4 had such a brilliant tasting experience at Vindan Wines. The host, I think his name is Ben, was so easy going yet enthusiastic about the wines. He was very knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge. He gave us a few extra wines to try which was terrific. The grapes are all from their estate which we value highly. The property and tasting rooms are beautiful with some lovely music in the background. Wines were delicious and we did purchase. Such a great time there. Well done Vindan!

We absolutely loved our experience at Vinden Wines. The setting is stunning, such a relaxed and welcoming vibe with beautiful views. The wines are lovely and the wine making process was interesting. The team were friendly and knowledgeable, we were never rushed and were abe to really take our time. Bought 6 bottles. Vinden is a must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!

Vinden Wines in Pokolbin is an absolute delight. The friendly, welcoming service makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive, and the wines are outstanding beautifully crafted and full of character. Set in a stunning location, the cellar door offers a relaxed, scenic experience that’s perfect for slowing down and enjoying the moment. And of course, the cellar dog is the cherry on top a charming touch that makes the visit even more memorable. Highly recommended.

Our second visit to the winery and firstly overnight. A great place for a stay over, spacious and comfortable. The wine tasting as always was amazing. We ended up having a couple of hours with Angus enjoying the company, views and of course the wine

We had the best experience at Vinden! Lovely staff, they take time to explain every wine with passion and detail. The wine in itself was so good and interesting. We went back to buy more bottles the next day and recommended to all our friends to try this place. We will be back for sure! Thank you for having us

We visited Vinden over the Easter weekend and had the most gorgeous time. The process of booking for a slightly bigger group was so streamlined, and we were so beyond impressed with the beautiful location, service and ofcourse the incredible wines. Angus even came out and shared information on his beautiful wines, an incredible experience. We visited multiple wineries in the hunter that day and Vinden was by far our favourite. I can't wait to come back!
