Honestly this place was just okay. The staff were nice and the location is excellent but thats about it. The a/c doesnt work well and takes forever to cool the room (there is a fan provided by the bed)(my room never cooled even though the unit was on all night), the room was sorta clean, and it was noisey and the floors were squeaky. The breakfast was mehh and small. The two things that bothered me the most though (besides the a/c not working well in HOT Hoi An) was that there was not an elevator so you have to drag your luggage up and down the tiny, skinny, squeaky stairs yourself and i fell on the way down with my luggage. The other thing that i didnt like is that i did not feel safe. I am a solo female traveler and the room they put me in had a window right next to the bed that was connected to the public balcony -----it was broken and couldnt completely close or be locked and could have easily been opened from the outside. There were bars to make sure someone couldnt enter so i know they are aware of this problem... but any peeping tom could easily see through them as i was sleeping if they wanted. I put the fan and the lamp in front of the window to make sure i would hear if the shutters were opened. Also the door has a cheap push lock that i felt could be opened, so i had to put a chair against the door and under the doorknob to properly secure it and im glad i did! At around 1 a.m. someone tried to enter my room! Im sure it was probably someone coming in late from drinking and it was probably an accident but never the less it scared me and i just would not recomend this hotel to anyone, especially to solo female travelers. For $10 more you can stay at the Allegro which is amazing. I am here now and I love it.
