Chill, pocket-sized raw seafood bar specializing in local fare & a well-curated natural wine list.
"Chris Elford and Anu Apte-Elford, the owners behind drinking institution Rob Roy and others, pair natural wine, cocktails, and snacks at Vinnie’s, named for Apte-Elford’s mom and located adjacent to their tropical bar Navy Strength in Belltown. As with their other spots, Vinnie’s is high-concept but low-pretense, with colorful, homey decor, an open kitchen where you can chat with the oyster shucker, and knowledgeable servers to guide you through a concise list of glass pours that ranges from Basque white to Georgian orange. The seafood bar shifted to a bottle shop during the pandemic, and kept the latter when shifting back to the former, so you can also grab wine to go." - Eater Staff
"Christopher Elford, co-owner of acclaimed Belltown bars No Anchor, Navy Strength, and Vinnie's, expresses concern over the early alcohol sales cutoff impacting their sales." - Gabe Guarente
"Chris Elford, co-owner of acclaimed Belltown bars No Anchor, Rob Roy, Vinnie’s Raw Bar, and Navy Strength, says that No Anchor may sell some individual cocktails, but the others would still probably still do larger cocktail kits with food orders, as other bars and restaurants have done." - Gabe Guarente
"This sibling spot in Belltown to acclaimed Rob Roy and No Anchor pairs natural wine and seafood, including plenty of seasonal oysters on the half shell. It’s high concept, but low pretense, with colorful, homey décor, and an open kitchen where one can chat with the shucker on duty. Knowledgeable servers guide diners through a wine list with quite a few unconventional options, such as a peppery, handmade chenin noir and plenty of skin contact roses." - Gabe Guarente
"The New York-based pop-up, expanding across the country yearly since 2014, has proven to be a hit, even inspiring some offshoots such as Sippin’ Santa, a tiki-driven pop-up at Rob Roy’s sibling Vinnie’s Raw Bar." - Gabe Guarente
