Vinodol

A group of us went yesterday on a Sunday. Made reservation and would suggest this as I can see this restaurant being busy during regular week. Ordered the baked sea cream fish and tried the lamb too. Both were made. Fish as suspected was very fresh. The server was very friendly as we requested separate bills with no issues. Would recommend and the ambience was very nice.

I had a wonderful visit to Vinodol in Zagreb. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The ambiance added a touch of elegance to the experience. I started with a small appetizer—bread with spinach and cheese—which was delightful. For the main courses, I chose seabeam fish and Zagreb cutlet (veal), both prepared to perfection. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a glass of local red wine. Overall, the ambiance and culinary offerings made for a truly memorable experience.

I’d recommend making a reservation in advance—the indoor seating area is much nicer in terms of decor. The downside of sitting outside is the strong smell of smoke (which I personally don’t like 🤣). Even though there’s a glass door that seems to block it, the smoke still drifts in anyway. A big thank you to the staff for patiently introducing and recommending dishes to my family and me. I didn’t catch your name, but your service was truly excellent and attentive. This was our first meal in Croatia, and we were eager to try traditional local dishes. This place turned out to be a wonderful choice! 😋

Great atmosphere and food, but our server was not available and he was impolite all throughout, even asking me if I hated my food when I asked for a to-go box (!). He also kept mentioning a tip when we received our bill. We I had the beef soup with homemade semolina dumplings, veal roast with with krumpirusa potato pie and traditional Balkan vegetable stew duvec, Traditional Dalmatian soparnik chard pie house-special, and Warm molten chocolate cake with homemade bourbon vanilla ice cream

The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, is very elegant, and offers exceptional service. The food is absolutely delicious. I have never had such good slow-cooked boar gnocchi. It has so much flavour that I'm unable to describe how good it was. 10 out of 10!

I can surely say one of the best restaurants in the city. Definitely best tartare steak I’ve had in a while. Along that comes amazing wine card with huge choice. Highly recommended.

This restaurant, beautifully decorated in every detail, will delight you with its unusual selection of food and its appearance. The pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant is created by the unobtrusive and professional staff, and the music that plays almost imperceptibly, loud or quiet enough to be able to have a normal conversation. The main dish I chose (Veal rost with potatoes au gratin and cauliflower sauteed in butter with breadcrumbs) melted in my mouth. While the salad that I ate with that combination of ingredients for the first time in my life (Young dandelion salad with 63C egg, vinaigrette and crispy bacon) was a story in itself. Truly something special. And if you visit Zagreb, do not miss this restaurant located in the very center of the city.

First visit after 10+ years, everything was great. The menu is refined with a wide selection of weekly specials as big as the regular menu. Every course was delicious, and the dessert was a particularly innovative play on a classic Croatian dessert - this left me speechless. If you go definitely try the Medimurska gibanica! Excellent service, very comfortable atmosphere and pleasant interior.
