Vinos Piojan is one of my favorite places in Valle. The food, wine, and view are just great.
The winery produces traditional wines as well as natural wines. I'm not sure if you can do a tasting of the natural wines but you can buy a bottle and have it on their patio.
The vibe here is incredibly laid back. Tastings are held on a patio with a beautiful view. This isn't a tourist trap type of place. It's charming and has a traditional aesthetic. Think lots of stone, wine barrels, and wooden decks covered in bougainvillea. Dogs roam around freely and time just seems to slow down here.
The food has a homemade vibe but it's excellent. On the weekends they have ceviches (a vegan portabello option too), blue crab burritos, a small meat dish for tacos and a few other options. During the week they used to have a wonderful vegetarian Mediterranean spread (think veggies, homemade pita bread, tzaziki and humus) in place of the seafood. Not sure if this is still going on but just be mindful that the weekday menu will likely be different from the seafood weekend menu. If you're eating here it's because you want to snack on good yet no frills small plates.
Overall this is a great stop if you're in the area. Side note, you can find their wines in hipster type wine shops in the States (e.g., Brooklyn, Silverlake, etc.).
One more thing... if you like chocolate, order their chocolate salami. Might not be on the menu but it's so good!
