One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a bar. My friends had gifted me a voucher which I wanted to redeem. The manager made a huge fuss, at first refusing to accept it and stating that the voucher didn’t show his stamp and that the same voucher code had been used for another voucher that had already been redeemed.
He went on to bother me with contacting the person who bought the voucher, and I had to bother her with finding a year old payment confirmation. After all this, upon showing the confirmation, the manager still commented that this was “extremely strange” and “actually impossible”. He ultimately redeemed it but made disrespectful sounds in the background when I paid the outstanding amount of the bill.
Hard to believe that a professional risks the reputation of his bar, when he himself is too incompetent to instruct his own employees to issue a voucher, and then has the audacity to blame it on the customer.
To be avoided at all costs. The only good thing I have to mention is that our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we did enjoy the wines.
