We walked 2+ miles to the bastille and had heard this place had the best Croquet Monsieur’s in Paris so we had to go. If you like bread, cheese, and ham, it’s a must because they are wonderful. We got four and one was finished and the other three had about a 1/4 to 1/3 left (take what you will from that). The service was solid, the salad was good too. Outside seating was plentiful and had shade and a pleasant breeze. My only note was that we bought a bottle of the only rosé on offer (€42)and it was €27 more than the same bottle at their wine shop across the street. Maybe drink tap or have a small beer instead. Certainly worth a visit.

Traditional 🇫🇷 Bistro. Great wines by the glass, good service and food. Beware though my veggie 🥕 and pescie 🐟 friends: the menu is limited (2 vegetarian & 1 fish entrees, 1 fish and 1 veggie main). What we had was good though, biggest surprise was the secret cocktail bar upstairs that was 10/10. Merci Vins de Pyrenees !

We had wanted to try Vin des Pyrénées for a while, and this time we finally did. The food and wine were both delicious. We would like to visit again. The very friendly staff made our experience even better. Bonus: They are pet-friendly. 💫🙏🐶

Had a lovely traditional French dinner, oysters, burrata, rib steak and duck. After dinner we went upstairs to the “secret” bar and had an after dinner drink and listened to the live jazz music. Immaculate vibes. Would highly recommend.

Google
What a lovely establishment. Menu is very French. Staff was very accommodating and lovely. The desserts is a must. Be sure to go upstairs and have drinks at Le 1905

Google
We had a lovely evening, thank you. Perfect glass of cremant to start, delicious duck and creme brûlée to finish. Wonderful friendly, efficient yet easy going service. Beautiful space.

Google
Lovely restaurant. Food and service were great. Not happy that as Americans we were asked to tip the waiter while the locals were not.

Google
Best croque monsieur I’ve ever had. Exceptional service. Felt comfortable as a solo traveler eating here. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Anything you have ever known about croque monsieurs is the poor man's version, because this is the ONLY place you should be having it!!!! Vins des Pyrenees rendition of the Croque Monsieur can be described as a toasted or grilled ham and cheese sandwich with melted cheese and TRUFFLE on top. Flavors were soooooo good-- savory, buttery and absolutely addicting! I also tried a few different cheese and wine pairings-- simply magnificent. HIGHLY recommend, will easily return!

Yelp
This restaurant was part of a food and wine tour that our friends were on. We trailed them from a far because we didn't book the tour. The wine selection was great! And the Croque monsieur was fantastic. Eat it with the salad with comes with. It takes it to the next level. I found myself looking for hot sauce but then again, I'm American so I always look for hot sauce on everything. (No I didn't ask for it). The service was great. The staff was very friendly. All in all it was a great experience. Definitely try it out!

Yelp
This place was amazing and we would have never found it if it wasn't for our Secret Food Tour guide, Dalil, who brought us here to enjoy some of the cheese, bread and wine that we purchased during our walking tour of the Le Marais neighborhood. This Parisian institution dates back to 1905 when it was a wine bar specializing in wines from the Pyrénées. When we arrived, the staff welcomed our group of 8 with smiles and gave us a brief history of the place. We were served various wines and their famous Truffle Croque Monsieur that is to die for! A lovely time in a lovely place tucked away in the lovely Le Marais neighborhood.

Yelp
If you're looking for a traditional French dinner in Paris this is a great spot. We enjoyed the duck, a fish special, burrata, and a bottle of wine. The vibes were great and staff was super nice and friendly (even to us non-French speaking Americans!)

Yelp
Sylvia was amazing! She made our experience so great from start to finish. The food was great and the ambiance great as well

Yelp
We came here on our Secret Food Tour is Les Marais. The highlight was pairing these delicious wines with cheese and their specialty which is the Croque Monsiere with truffles

Yelp
We were in Paris for 5 days and ending up coming here two different nights for dinner because it was amazing. The lamb was one of the best meals I've ever had, and the duck was right there with it. The service especially the sommelier were great as well. The restaurant itself has a cool feel and an awesome speakeasy upstairs. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
Went here about 10 years ago and then forgot to write it down. As fate would have it on the last day of our trip we walked by and I was thrilled. We were able to get a table and a bottle of wine. I had the tartare and it was amazing, maybe the best I had. It has a real old Paris feel to it and really makes you feel welcome. Everything we had was prepared well and memorable. We had an amazing bottle from st Joseph and they were fine letting us linger. If you want tap water say tap water like 5x otherwise you'll get charged $8.

Yelp
We stumbled into this place and were thrilled that we did! Everything was really great from the food to our waiter to the bar upstairs where we had a drink afterward. The whole place was frequented by locals which I take as a good sign. The waiter and bartender were both great at recommendations and just made the whole experience so much better. A great find!

Yelp
Just had a wonderful meal. The place is so quaint, the food delicious, and the service best of all. We were a family of five --two adults, three kids ages 11 to 16- and all had a wonderful experience. The somolier was excellent, as was our waiter. Highly recommend this place for an authentic, comfortable and enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Florian, the proud new owner can talk nuanced gastronomy as well as fine turn of the previous century classic cocktails. After a private guided tour upstairs to the deco-rated soft leather couched nooks, we're rearranging our evening to come back for apéros, dinner and digestifs. Visit before word gets out and the place is forever packed. Oh, by the way, I've ordered magret de canard all over France and this Cannette de Challans is a gold medal winner. The Ajo Blanco starts wit a pleasing surprise and stays interesting to the last slurp.

Yelp
Good food! Good food! Good food! I love each dish here and same as all my friends! We spent a great evening here and we will definitely come back again! 大推!!!!!!

Yelp
The food was very good, but somewhere between my waiter and the kitchen my order for my medium-cooked steak got changed for one that was practically blue. Did something get lost in translation? Maybe, but I'll pass on ordering steak in Paris, from now on. I'll give them the service was kind.

Yelp
I've eaten three times now at VdP over the years I've been coming to Paris, and this last time did not disappoint. I came with my family of four and another California family of four, as we were in Paris for 24 hours around Thanksgiving. I made a reservation due to the large party size and popularity of the restaurant. It was mighty cold in town that day, and after a full day of sightseeing with cranky teenagers, the adults made the judgement call to head early to VdP to see if we could eat earlier. The staff greeted us warmly and, although they couldn't seat us earlier, they sent us upstairs to their bar to warm up, and said they'd be ready right on time. We were more than fine with that, and passed a lovely 45 minutes or so with delicious cocktails (while the kids zoned out on devices of course). Dinner was, as usual, fresh and delicious. The kids absolutely loved the Croque Monsieurs with truffle-flavored gouda and huge bread slices. Easy win. The adults split a wide range of starters and entrees, from the fresh steamed whelks to the braised leeks with vinaigrette, to the roasted quail and hanger steak. Everything was really, really good. Our server was extremely friendly and professional, and made sure we always were well taken care of. By the time we silly Americans were wrapping up our meal, the restaurant was completely packed with Parisians. I'm grateful for VdP's reliability, approachability and delicious food. I'll be back again.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Interesting cocktails. You can't go wrong. Solid four stars.

Yelp
Great food but a little over priced, we got garlic gaspacho it was watery with delicate flavors then we had amazing steak, grilled octopus, sea bass, fennel salad, and duck all we're Delicious.

Yelp
A fantastic out of the way place. The Food, Service, and Atmosphere are outstanding. Two Bars, inside and outside seating, but most of all they are "American Friendly". Don't forget after your meal and drinks, Dessert. A must try is the Brioche Perdue, it's French Toast as you never had before with whipped cream and a chocolate sauce.

Yelp
Enjoyed a quick wine tasting here with a tour. Staff was friendly and quick! While it was super hot when we went there, they were happy to provide water to cool us off.

Yelp
Wonderful little bistro away from the tourists. Service was friendly ... I made an attempt at French, and the server was helpful in coaching and filling in the blanks. Boeuf tartare was delicious, and don't skip the brioche dessert ... To die for.

Yelp
This establishment is all about the ambiance! Flat out soulful. The wine is also great yet still secondary to vibe of this cool establishment. Little rooms with antique furniture and the warmth that represents the best of Paris. Super nice staff.

Yelp
Best beef plate ever! Creme brûlée was amazing! Thanks to this place... I actually managed to teach the wife that good beef doesn't have the word "well" in its description! Service was slow for Canadian standards but very friendly and helpful, which is what matters on holiday! Oh ya the background music was well selected also. Don't miss this place!

Yelp
Awesome delicious food. The chef really put his soul into the creation of his dishes. Great parisian atmosphere. This restaurant changed ownership couple years ago is much better now

Yelp
They just re-opened with new ownership after a major remodel. I swallowed my California foodie guilt and ordered the foie gras to start. It was especially sinfully silky and flavorful, accompanied by the usual toast, some fresh greens and a few darts of apple sauce which added an interesting contrast. For my main plate, the merlu (like cod) fillet was perfectly seared on the skin, attractively plated with carrot spears, a few delicious minced veggie bits and capers, and set in a delicate pesto sauce. Finally, I decided to end the meal with as much guilt as I started with, so that means brioche, and OMG, it floated on my plate like a perfect crispy cloud. I couldn't put my spoon down until the plate was clean. The service matched the food, and the new owner seemed to be in 100 places at the same time as he made sure everything was perfect for everybody, which it seemed to be to me, thus the 5 stars.

Yelp
We got the salmon tartare and macaroni and cheese for an appetizer and it was amazing. For an entree the salmon with mint teriyaki and the smoked haddock with a creamy mash potato and egg froth. For desert the French toast with chocolate ice cream . Everything was amazing food-wise but I can't give this place anything above a three because the service was just God-awful. It took them over three hours to complete our meal and the waiter would look right at us and do nothing until we got up and explicitly told him what to do. They spoke reasonable English but the menu is only in French so be prepared to translate. Some of the best food I have had in France but I would not put another person through that excruciating (almost humorous ) service. I am pretty sure they no longer need the Bastille because this restaurant keeps you captive instead .

Yelp
May have been not the best day for a chef. Dishes were hit and miss.

Patricai M.

Yelp
Really glad I tried this place- I had a great evening. I sat at the bar as it's a busy crowded place and I didn't have a reservation. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic- I had a risotto followed by the excellent and decadent brioche french toast. Putting this place on my bucket list for a return trip to Paris.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten here every trip to Paris, and we will continue to do so. Wonderful food, service, wine, and spirits.

Yelp
Loved it. Not touristy. Menu was all in French. The lamb confit and salmon starter were very good. Waiters were very gracious to help us in English translations. Lovely chateau la coste wine.

Yelp
This restaurant offers nice, creative small dishes. We had a tomato, watermelon, feta salad that was not an original combination, but proved to be revelatory due to the freshness of the produce. We also had the most delicious saucisson, lamb croquettes, a tuna tartar with raspberries and lemon verbena that I enjoyed and a sea bass entree with pimentos and chorizo that was also delicious. We asked the waiter to suggest a wine, which was a relaxing way to get an exquisite glass of vino. And the cheeses we enjoyed for dessert were a memorable way to cap off a lovely evening. A great place in the Marais, worth a detour.

Yelp
Ordered some sort of hen spiral. It was "formidable." Waitress was "fantastique." A girl was writing "Homies" across the street and I would not have minded staying until she finished... but this would have required several more hours...

Qype User (StephP…)

Yelp
I have been there several times, in between 2006-2008 (I live in Paris and I am French). Went back there last week-end with a few friends. My steak was not good, the cooking was not what I ordered and I nearly had to fight with the waitress to get it right. I have to say that the service wasn't existing and more unbelievable it was like we were disturbing them. I was ashamed getting my friends there. 2 words == stay away !!

Yelp
Great restaurant. If you love steak, get the Cote de boeufe for two people...absolutely fantastic. Also, make sure you get it "saignant" or rare

michael n.

Yelp
We came here by chance, so we didn't expect much, which was what we got. The food was overpriced and average. My steak was tough and fatty. My husband had the lamb which was ok. The cheese plate was good. Service was extremely slow. They ran out of the beer we were drinking, which happens. When we asked for more bread with the cheese plate they said no it's Sunday and we won't have enough for other customers. When in fact I saw them bringing additional bread to other tables. I wouldn't spend the money here when there are plenty of much better restaurants in the area for the same or less price.

Yelp
2nd time dining at this lovely spot in the Marais, just off Rue Saint Antoine. The service staff, on both occasions, could not have been more lovely and inviting, assisting with any menu questions or suggestions. I must note that they are very kind to those speaking English, and most speak fluent English themselves. Food is great and clean and simple as well as well priced. Though it wasn't on the menu this time around, I would highly recommend the Steak Tartare when available. One of the best in Paris!
