Amazing selection of cocktails, bartender makes excellent drinks, can't go wrong. Pretzels are great. Happy hour is highly recommended. Drinks on general are reasonably priced. Outdoor seating is available. Ambience is nice for a date.

Super fun vibe! Amazing cocktail menu! These mixologists are so creative and helpful. I ordered bartender’s choice mocktail and the only parameters I gave were, no diary and I like spicy. I ended up with spicy goodness in a cup🙌🙌! If you are hard of hearing it may be a little tough because it is quite loud. Other than that I’ll definitely be back!

I wound up in here killing time while waiting for friends at the brewery around the corner. It’s a decent place to chill if you’re in the area. I’m not sure if the server was being agro or just had a bad sense of humor, but her jokes were cruel and not funny at all. Had a dog with kraut and some George T Stagg—it’s a pretty basic pub menu. Any bar that carries George Stagg is worth at least 3 stars regardless if the service, right?

This bar is the perfect merger of 'fine cocktails' with 'I just finished logging.' You can get a brilliant corpse reviver and with a classy hot dog. Must go.

Cozy Craft Cocktail Joint. I've been meaning to check this place out for a while. The mixologist does a great job prescribing the right drink for you. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. We only eat popcorn so I can't comment on the chow. Like the cyborg says, I'll be back. ✌️

Excellent and creative cocktails. The food here is quite good as well. We enjoyed their Fist City cocktail and being introduced to Doctor Bird Rum.

Friendly, attentive service; highly knowledgeable bartender; super-good Happy Hour pricing every Thursday, 4-7 pm, and an impressive wall of liquor. Amazing bourbon selection! If you're ever in or near the neighborhood, you should check this place out. Highly recommended!

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. Not a huge space but definitely nice and comfortable. Grabbed a table by the window and was greeted by a friendly server with menus - - HAPPY HOUR! Checked out their menu and saw that they had some fun cocktails and snacks. I decided on the diablo which came in a tall glass and had some refreshing lime slices. Also ended up snacking on their delicious curry chickpea lettuce wraps because it sounded too good to pass up, plus we were hungry. Bathroom in the back. Parking can be tricky in that neighborhood so might have to walk a bit. They have a covered outdoor area with tables - - looks like it would be a lot of fun on warmer days.

Service was good. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was okay. The company made it. I liked the drinks a lot but the bar was meh. The crowd was loud and drunk. Very drunk. And that's not my scene. These are well crafted drinks with good flavors. But I can get that at other bars without the rowdy crowd. I like a quieter bar or at least one I can hear my conversation over the table and the music in the background. We met Rashi T. And her husband here for drinks and snacks. Dinner isn't really a thing so don't come super hungry because one dog ain't gonna fill ya. But they were decent. Again not crazy good but good enough to eat with heavy liquor. The bathroom however was like a dive bar. Ew. I was really looking forward to trying this spot because the drinks seemed awesome. I love a great name for a drink. I had a Resting Witch Face, a Misfit Toy and a Harley Quinn. All were unique and quite good. The names get me. I am a sucker for a good cocktail name. Then I had a Vegan "On Golden Blonde," which was okay. I usually get VERY bad stomach aches from Beyond products but this was not as greasy as they have been every other time I had them. Now let me just say that the drinks were 4-5 stars for me. The bartender and staff 4-5 stars but the atmosphere a 1-2. I would have rated it a 4 star but I really think that was because the company we had was what bumped it. And for me, 3 stars isn't worth revisiting for me. 4 and up is. lol

I basically never write up follow-up reviews, because I generally believe my first impression is pretty accurate. However, I've got to give our server, Nella, a major shout out! We've been to Vintage three times, and Nella was our server each time. Not only extremely friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and patient (when I clumsily spilt a drink, which was promptly replaced, gratis), but she has an incredible memory. Upon each of our return visits, she has recognized us, despite our visits being months apart, and even before taking off our masks! Considering the number of customers she must encounter, that sort of personalized care and service is truly unparalleled! She even remembered our favorite cocktails from previous visits. Unreal! By herself, Nella makes Vintage Cocktail Lounge one of the best bars in Portland, on top of an already incomparable experience!

The bartender reminded me of my father. He left. Luckily, nothing is more vintage or in vogue than Daddy Issues ... and turning problems into opportunities ... Hence, convincing myself this habit is just a recurring "drinking opportunity" ... Ok, doesn't matter why, but there I was sipping Rye Old Fashioneds in this small local Vintage Cocktail Lounge the good-ole-fashioned-way ... alone. Oh, I wasn't lonely. There are just too many cocktails on the menu to be reclusive ... and there's always another bartender ... like the one that just walked in. Time to become friends with cocktails like a Summer of Swayze with Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon or a Harley Quinn with Broker's Gin, Absinthe, and Meletti 1870. Of course, some of your oldest friends are the best cocktails and Vintage Cocktail Lounge has *ALL* the old-school ones you remember from your youth (and last week) like a classic Corpse Reviver 2, vexing Vieux Carre, magical Moscow Mule, or dapper Daiquiri. Sure, you may not be able (or want) to go back home (or deal with daddy), but you can find some fun new friends at Vintage Cocktail Lounge like a happy-go-lucky Hats for Bats with Banhez Mezcal or a hearty Hex Machine with Novo Fogo Cahcaca and Swedish Punsch. For even more new nostalgia there's the intriguing 106 Miles to Chicago with Dregs Vodka, Dolin Blanc, and Damiana Liqueur or hilarious Harrison Fjord with Gordon's Vodka and Crème de Peche. Try to forget the past and remember you're here for the drinks, well, actually cocktails if you wanna be so picky. Just trust me, you aren't here for the food cause it is pretty bad. Eat before, eat after, or just eat elsewhere/whenever, cause Vintage Cocktail Lounge is good for the drinks and drinks alone.

Stepping into Vintage Cocktail Lounge on a Saturday night, there was an unassuming neighborhood vibe and empty bar seats were pretty easy to find. A bartender at Rum Club had recommended this place for their amaro selection, and we were not disappointed. Behind the bar at Vintage, Tony was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about spirits. He took his time to discuss the flavor profiles and histories of the various amaro they carry and poured us a couple of flights to enjoy. We'll definitely be back to try the house noccino they're working on!

Had been on the bookmarks for such a long time that I actually had great expectations from this place and apart from the good Company and a few unique drinks I don't think much of what I expected was delivered . It was a Friday evening and there was no wait and we were immediately seated. The bar has a dive bar meet neighborhood bar kind of vibe and wasn`t very appealing for first impressions . Nevertheless , what got us here were the cocktails and meeting fellow YES member Martina and her hubby and so we were excited for that part of the evening .The server spent quite a bit of time explaining the drinks and liquors to us , which was great . All of us chose different liquor options and I went with 106 miles to go which was vodka based . I wasn't a big fan as the flavors were slightly different from what was mentioned on the menu but nevertheless moved on to Harley Quinn after getting a lot of FOMO seeing Martina drink it . I must say the drink looked more pretty then it actually tasted but I would attribute that to my own personal preference .The hubby had the Brass tacks , Sazerac and another Mezcal based cocktail . They don't have a lot of food options and Hot dogs seemed to be something they specialized in so we ordered a Mutiny on the Bouncy and Bagel Pizza bites. The food was alright nothing bad nothing to write home about either . What worked for us was the amazing and fun company we had but apart from that I don't think I would like to make that long of a drive for Vintage especially when I know so many more fun bars closer to home .

Surprised it took me this long to review this place. It has become my go to place for drinks before seeing a movie at the Academy. I avoided this place for a long time as fancy cocktail bars aren't really my scene, but after my first visit, I realized I had made a big mistake. The drink menu here is massive. Kind of like those old school diners with the big plastic menus with hundreds of dishes, however it is all cocktails here, sorted my liquor. The drinks here are delicious, imaginative, and more than reasonably priced for their quality. On top of that, if you can make it here when it is not too busy, you can chat with the bartender and they will create a concoction just for you on the spot. What service! I have not tried any of the food yet, but it looks fairly basic and keeping just within OLCC guidelines and that's just fine, it isn't their focus.

My group started here and it was a great starting point. This is a cute little bar with a FANTASTIC selection of spirits. I had an Old Fashioned and the mixed warmed nuts were awesome. I would've liked to have stayed longer but we were only one and done here. However, I will definitely be coming back and want to explore more of their very creative and diverse drinks menu.

I love places like this: the look is unassuming, almost a dive vibe, but clean :) And the WALL of liquor! Any time I see to-the-ceiling shelves with a rolling ladder, I'm sold. Our bartender must have also been the owner... doesn't matter. He was friendly and accommodating, making suggestions and delivering delicious concoctions. Will definitely be back.

Great happy hour menu! Service was attentive, fun to talk to. The drinks were refreshing. We ordered hot dogs and they were filling! Nice cozy ambiance. Definitely a cute spot to get together with friends!

Excellent cocktails, both of their own design and classics, even fairly niche ones. Huge selection and also a decently priced happy hour. They have table service which is quite nice, too. We've never had their food and only gone here for drinks.

Love this neighborhood cocktail lounge. Bartender are very knowledgeable. If you love whiskey,scotch and classic mix drinks, this is the place to go. small but friendly and welcoming staffs.

Super amazing drinks created by people who know what tastes good. Staff are very good at helping you select a drink based off of what you normally like and will even help you switch your drink out if you don't like it. The blackberry bramble was soooooo good. Haven't been there for a few months so I'm not sure how often they update the menu!

4.5 Stars overall. I was randomly in this neighborhood with some friends and my dog, and when we found out we could sit outside with the pup, we decided to stay for some Happy Hour drinks and food. I'm glad we did! The service was nice and mostly attentive. I always feel customers are a bit more likely to be ignored when sitting outside, and this seemed *somewhat* true here. At times we felt service was great and on top of it, and then for stretches... crickets. Though I haven't dined inside, so maybe all of the service is like that? Nice, but at times a bit neglectful. They weren't very busy, so that wasn't the reason. We all tried several different drinks: specialty cocktails and an IPA, and all were tasty! We tried the warm pretzels: yummy, but kind of small for the (even lowered Happy Hour) price (and they were sticks rather than a traditional pretzel shape.) The dip they came with was AMAZING, though! We also shared a couple of hot dogs. REALLY great-tasting dogs! The only reasons for 4.5 stars instead of 5 was that it was --at times-- as I mentioned before,hard to find someone if we needed something, and the ground outside/around our table had a bunch of trash (that I had to convince my dog was not worth sniffing/eating! ;D). The thing is, the trash may have blown over there before we got there or something, but still. Not wonderful. However, overall, we were all very pleased with the experience and I would definitely come back again.

Stopped in for a quick happy hour drink or two. The full cocktail list is impressive and creative, but even the smaller happy hour menu satisfies. I got the Hemingway Daquiri and the Vintage 75, both of which were focused, clear headed experience that rested comfortably in their respective recipe traditions. Excited to try more of the menu next time. We also gave the soft pretzels a shot, which came with a decadent cheese dip and went down well with the acidic, sharp flavor profiles of the cocktails.

This was my first time at this location, we were down in the area for dinner (The Observatory) and thought we'd get another round of drinks. This place was busy! The indoor seating was full, but they had a lovely heated and covered patio out front, an excellent patio of medium sized groups. They had a huge array of cocktails containing various types of alcohol, great time to try something new! The wait staff was quick and so nice even though the place was packed! A great place to grab some good cocktails, and food too!

We typically don't go out to bars. You will see few reviews of bars from me but its a night out with friends so what the hey! Our friends live near this place, its in a very hip part of Portland. We arrive and the place is packed, its SUNDAY people! LOL We were lucky enough to score a table, its the only table as people were leaving. Looking around I see bottles and bottles of liquor, like four shelves of the stuff! Holy crow! Anyway, I knew exactly what I wanted. This the place is named "Vintage Cocktail Lounge" so whats more vintage that a Singapore sling?!?! Watching the bartenders is entertainment in its self, they have such cool gadgets to help concoct these works of art. So remember to take it all in, this place has such a good vibe! Our drinks arrived and my Singapore sling was AMAZING, its the best I have ever had! What a treat! Unfortunately, it was late and tomorrow is a work day so I was only able to enjoy the one,... cant wait until next time!

Stopped by for a late afternoon drink with my mom and a good friend, excited to see friend and enjoy a drink with mom. We were seated outside quickly which was great and then the experience went downhill. My mom ordered a beer and wanted something very light and she asked for a lime as well. My mom is 71 years old and enjoys a lime with her beer, not really a big deal in my opinion and she certainly does not need a lecture from a server on this choice. The big deal was the server. A young woman who started questioning my mother's decision to have a lime with her beer. She explained that the beer did not need a lime and etc. why lecture a 71 year old lady? Seriously. The server decided that she would bring the lime on the side, my mom used the lime and enjoyed her beer. The server checked in with us and my mom stated that the lime was great and this person stated "oh I'm glad I did bring on side hoping you would not need" and she went on to state that the people who make beer work so hard and that we really should enjoy it In It's natural state. Anyways I found her obnoxiously annoying to question my mom over a freaking lime. My lavender drink was good .

Found another hidden gem in Portland! We only got drinks here, and let me tell you they were excellent! The drink menu serves various tastes and likings. I got the lavender vodka drink and it was absolutely delicious. Also, really dig the vintage vibes they got goin' on. They are open with outside seating (I believe I saw heaters) and few table inside too. Will definitely be returning!

One of the chillest cocktail lounges I've been to, and when I say chill, I'm not talking cheap looking or barebones, but the atmosphere and coolest mixologists I've met. They're menu had some very well thought out drinks and with a no pressure almost aloha vibe you can't help but make it a choose your own adventure type night...but with a happy ending every time! The wifey and I came in on a cold rainy night (like duh) and by the time we left we felt like we had just experienced euphoria. I can't wait to get back here and drink the rest of their menu, but moreso be able to talk and chill with the crowd and staff.

Came in on a Friday night for some post dinner drinks and were so happy we stumbled upon this place. Cocktails were good and fairly priced. My husband was extremely happy with their whiskey selection as well. The waiter was kind, attentive, and my husband was so happy with the whiskeys that were suggested to him. Looking forward to coming back.

Huge cocktail menu full of delicious interesting concoctions. Staff has always been so friendly and I love that it's table service. My favorites are the Harrison Fjord, Death in the Afternoon, and El Diablo.

This is our favorite spot to get a cocktail! The cocktails are some of the most affordable we've had, and always expertly mixed. It's become pretty busy of late, but it's always a fun place to go on a date or with friends. If Tony is working, you can ask him about the history and origins of the various spirits if you want to learn more!

Very cool and authentic whiskey/cocktail bar. It's off the beaten track, but that's what makes it SO great! Huge selection, knowledgeable staff. Very good happy hour and decent charcuterie board. Definitely a must see when in Portland area.

Where is Tony?? The bartender we had on Wednesday night was more like an over-exuberant Will Farrell character and didn't know how to make a Gibson. Please come back, Tony. We miss you

Every drink and food item we tried was delicious. The deviled eggs with spicy tomato were my favorite, but I liked everything we tried. Happy hour food was well-priced and drinks were a good deal too. Service was friendly but slow- they seemed to need one more staff to keep up with how busy it was. By the time we left the place was absolutely packed- there were people who left because it was so busy and limited space to wait. So get there early or be prepared to wait to indulge in their delicious food and drink options

This place has amazing value. They have soo much selection and the prices are fair too for the quality of drink you are getting. I loved their rum drinks! They also have some really good beef dogs for about $6 which makes for a cheap eat so you can spend more on the drinks.

Huge menu of fine craft cocktails. Very cozy atmosphere. Excellent service. Now one of my favorite spots for cocktails in PDX. Can't wait to go back!

Tony is the best. My friend and I came here for the first time back in the Spring time of 2021 and we had a great experience. Tony introduced us to a world of bitters and whisky. He set up a little whisky tasting and paired it with bitters. What a great experience. He is very knowledgeable. We will be back

This place will likely be my go to spot for a while. Friendly, knowledgeable, intuitive staff, great drink menu, good music, nice atmosphere. I've been to so many Portland bars where there is a total lack of professionalism and knowledge of mixed drinks and liquor. This is my idea of a perfect bar, please don't change. :))

I really enjoyed this place. The final stop of our night out and it was fitting. Tony, the bartender, was super friendly and inviting. We sat down at the bar and briefly looked at the menu and ordered. We stuck to our theme drinks for the night lol. I ordered an old fashioned and the lady, a whiskey sour. Tony whipped up our concoctions and they turned out great! The atmosphere of this place is laid back but the bar is what makes the place pop. Lots and lots of bottles of liquor along the corner wall. (For the size of their establishment, it was a lot of bottles). I kept eye balling it and Tony noticed and asked if I had any questions before explaining to us their setup and handed me a tablet to review their list. (Everything that was on the wall). They have snacks but I wasn't hungry. The lady ordered some olives though... Traffic picked up a bit and Tony ended up being all over the place, but I was able to order another old fashioned but this time it came from his colleague. He noticed and acknowledged that he "sucks at his job" lol. Kudos. The drink was good but his was just a bit better. Before leaving he formally introduced himself and let us know he was done for the night before handing the reigns over. Such courtesy. It was appreciated. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed this bar and the service. They were all nice and friendly.

I travel for work and I'm always excited when I have a job in PDX! Why you might ask... well, it's because I always make my way here for a few AMAZING drinks and some snacks! The last time I was here I got a chance to have some of the best rum / tiki inspired cocktails from my new favorite bartender Troy. His knowledge was so impressive. I turned my back on rum years ago, but now I welcome it with open arms.

My favorite bar in Portland!! Super nice staff and amazing cocktails. I always go during happy hour ($6!!). I've found my new favorite drink (not pictured) which is the tabor reservoir, it's so refreshing! The lavender cocktail (in the picture) is also pretty good, but it is on the sweet side. Anyway, 10/10 recommend this place

A teeny tiny bar with quite some character. The character could be bitter. Yes, most if not all of their signature mixed drinks comes with a kind or two of bitters. This could only be the bar that I've been to that I've seen so many kinds of bitters. I did not try anything as I am not a fan of that flavor. And plus the fact that I was on a salty phase two days straight, anything not salty would be brushed aside. We came for a surprise birthday party for a good friend and almost got lost because of the lack of sign-age. I mean a simple readable board by the storefront is not that hard to do right? Like the store, the sign by the window blends by the color of the furnitures inside. It does not help that much IMO. Enough of the decor (appetizing red and vintage, like the bar's name) and more on the other offerings. We were a little hungry and ordered some food. I've had the roast beef, asadero cheese and some strong peppers on a flat bread. That was yummy. It was accompanied by pickled kale, another good bite. The salad might be lacking in the flavor department but the sandwich itself pays for whatever is lacking. Our group ordered the meat and cheese platter (the house made cumin pepperoni and one more meat plus the asadero cheese got stuck in my head as they are worth mentioning), then the pancetta sandwich is said to be good as well. Birthday boy arrived, a friend got him the Upper Manhattan. After downing it, I ordered the Lower Manhattan for him. Good night, good birthday. He handled it well like a champion. I wish stores and shops like these would extend to a few more blocks of goodness. The two blocks of niceness comes a bit short for me. I love it. Simply love it. From the servers, to the ambiance to the drinks. Love it.

I spent a few years pretending to like beer. I spent a few after that trying to like wine. From these efforts I was left only with a bad taste in my mouth and an unnerving sense of self-betrayal. That, and a couple of entertaining stories involving feather boas, spanky pants and spaghetti, but that's for another review. Once I was finally old enough to choose my own adult beverages (no more handing a frat boy a $20 in exchange for a six-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade with a GHB chaser!? Adulthood ROCKS!), I spent some quality soul-searching time and realized that I am simply not a beer person. Nor am I a wine person. Me? I'm a cocktail person. I love me a good cocktail. There's a reason why we tip bartenders, folks. It's a skill the best ones refine over time - crafting innovative, unexpected cocktails; cooking up exciting mixes and practicing Tom Cruise-style flairs to impress the usually unimpressible onlookers. The bartenders at Vintage are just as serious about their booze as I am. And so is the cocktail menu. If there's a type of liquor you think you don't like, there's a drink in their regular rotation that will make a believer out of you. As for the atmosphere? Remarkably low-key for such a fine establishment. These people obviously love their craft, and are too busy turning out fantastic drinks to indulge in the kind of irritating self-referential snobbery that would undoubtedly infest such a joint were it located in, say, Snob Hill or the Pearl. The patrons range from middle-aged ladies to scrubbier versions of the typical hipster to large groups of raucous lesbians to street urchins to *gasp* ordinary working folks. If you don't mess around when it comes to your cocktails, Vintage is the place for you. No muss, no fuss, just superlative libations.

This is the bar I've been waiting for. Montavilla doesn't have a shortage of bars- rather it has a plethora of bars that lack character. Roscoe's can be great for people watching and Thatchers is worth going when Nancy is bartending, but neither is what I'd call a good bar. Sassy Jack's (or as we like to call it, Happy Flaps) is great if you're a middle aged cokehead. The Observatory is nice, but it's more of a restaurant than a bar. And now there's Vintage. It occupies a space that has been a number of wine bars, all somewhat woeful. Vintage is neither a wine bar nor woeful, it's a kickass BAR, with an incredibly extensive booze list, amazing and cheap cocktails, and even Olympia on draft. It's incredibly chill, intimate but casual enough to merit visiting several times a week. Not a lot of vegetarian options, but I'm there for the amazing cocktails Justin the owner has come up with-- try the Ambassador- made with absinthe, St. Germain, soda and grapefruit juice, it may be the single best cocktail I've ever had. Check it out. I'll probably be there. And if you're in the service industry, let them know. Trust me.

Cutest and warmest little cocktail lounge I ever did see. In LA, they like to have these types of lounges hidden, underground, whatever. Here, Vintage sits on the edge of the street, for all to see and hopefully grab a drink at. While visiting PDX, we ended our night here and couldn't have been more pleased. We ordered a few small bites, including olives and I believe a pretzel? Their cocktail menu is larger than life, and the bartenders are helpful when you have no idea what to order. I'd suggest this bar to all. Whether your visiting PDX, or live in the area, definitely stop by Vintage for night cap. Cheers!

OK... this place I get a mixed feeling about because I feel like it started off semi OK but I felt like a freak in the wrong bar.. I gave this place two tries. Once with my fancy craft cocktail making friend and once with my guy. Both times, the owner tossed over attitude. I have never had a bartender or owner or anything call me "finicky" at least not to my face....but he had no problem with that. Not ONCE did I send a drink back. I order stuff and tried it and if I didn't like it, someone else drank it. NO BIG DEAL I would think... but apparently it was enough to get me name called. Oh well.... it is hella far from my house anyways and The Observatory is right down the street, I will just continue to take my business there when I am in Montavilla.

This small lounge nicely meshes a charming of-days-gone feel with a contemporary vibe. I'm sure Benjamin Franklin would've adored the simple antique light bulbs rustically hanging from the ceilings. They don't offer much lighting to the dim ambiance, but the candles lit atop the few tables and along the bar add an intimate feel. Lemme tell ya, that bar tender knows his whiskeys. I hold in high regard tenders who take their liquor expertise and use it to educate and benefit the customer. "Are you sure you want to try the moonshine? It's a kicker. But the blahdeeblah whiskey is smooth as melted butter." Amen, brother. The intimate little bar has a great liquor tasting option as well, where you can get half shots of a couple hundred different whiskeys, cognacs, wines, you name it. Starting at $2. BAM. Hit me with it. Definitely a great place to melt into a seat and sip on some belly-warming whiskey, maybe divulge in a boardgame or two...

While I usually head the other direction for dinner and drinks, I drove over to the Montavilla neighborhood because a friend bought this bar with a business partner and we wanted to give some support and say hi. Being later in the night, I'd already eaten so I just ordered a drink, the Enzo (bourbon, Averna, Regans' orange bitters, and a burnt orange cap). My friend ordered a whisky drink as well, but they have so many fancy names, I forgot which one he chose. He also ordered a kale salad with a bunch of yummy nibbles on top. Or so I thought. Maybe it was another dark lettuce, but kale is my fave and I remember being tempted to sneak a few bites while he used the restroom...but I have no self control and my little bite would end up being half the salad. Instead, I refrained. But it was a real struggle. My owner-friend says they have some big plans for a re-vamp but the place has a pretty cool ambiance already. I also love that he bought in a neighborhood that still has free parking. Good drinks, good food and free parking. For a chilaxed night out, it doesn't get much better.

We have been buying groupons lately and visiting places that probably wouldn't be our regular spots. Being about 30 minutes away from where we live, Vintage Cocktail Lounge certainly fits that criteria. I am so glad that we made the trip! Although the place was packed beyond capacity, the staff was friendly and attentive. We ended up with seats at the bar which was fine as it put us right in the middle of all the cocktail mixing action! As you may know from previous reviews, I am a bourbon drinker. I have finally found a heaven for us bourbon guys. The bourbon selection is deep and old. The selection of bourbon cocktails is fun and creative with several versions of the Manhattan and the best Old Fashioned ever created. If you are a bourbon lover then you have to try this place out! The kitchen is a 4 foot section of counter top that they manage to use for creating some really cool dishes. Not your typical bar food but really delightful considering their space limitations. ps - I didn't have any room left for this but the tequila selection looks pretty awesome too! Maybe I will have to visit mexico on my next stop at Vintage Cocktail Lounge. Maybe it will be a round trip!

The absolute best t all-around go to bar in Portland. Cliff and his fellow b'tenders are so knowledgable, helpful and willing to experiment. Yet, not at all trendy and pretentious like other places you'd know. My only reservation about sharing this is that I see a day when I can't get a seat! Just tried a 15yr Pappy Van Winkle pour - phenomenal. Cliff has taught me so much about Amaros, too, over the years.

Great selection of cocktails and bourbons. The pretzels and beer cheese are delicious. There happy hour has a great selection of cocktails to choose from as well.

Impressive array of ingredients, and the two drinks we sampled were well made classics. Hooray for the bartenders. Atmosphere is noisy. And zero for intimacy. Whether or not you want to, you get to hear what everyone is talking about. Usually loudly. If you are in the mood for a boisterous place, then this place works.

Love this space, it's dim lighting and reddish walls. We just stopped in for wine but found out it is a cocktail lounge. We ordered a couple of drinks. They sounded good on the menu but there was just something about them that just did not work. We had the champagne cocktail and the gin lemon/lavender cocktail. They sound charming but.. Maybe we will come in and try something different as the ambience is nice and low key.
