Vintage House at The Estate Yountville

"This relaxing, beautiful inn and spa on a 23-acre estate with landscaped gardens and a waterway captures all the charm of Napa. French country–style buildings connected by pathways and footbridges house "refined rustic" rooms with antiques, wood-burning fireplaces, and oversized tubs. Staff provide "pampering, exceptional service that makes you feel like family . . . royal family!" The daily champagne breakfast buffet included in the rate is "exquisitely delicious—the best I’ve had anywhere." Spa treatments are available at sister property Villagio Inn & Spa, next door. Recent renovation was handled by Hirsch Bedner Associates of Santa Monica."

This was a wonderful property for the most part. The complimentary breakfast was quite the spread and the wait staff was very attentive even though it was self serve. The rooms were nice except I thought they were a little dark. Meggan, the concierge, was absolutely wonderful and set up a day tour that helped make the trip. She was one of the reason the trip was so great.|The only down side was that because we need an ADA room we had to be on the first floor and the first floor was EXTREMELY noisy from the second story noise. For that reason alone we would not stay here again so if you don't require an ADA room than be sure and get an second story room.

We chose this resort for our first visit to Napa for our anniversary and it was amazing! The grounds were immaculate, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was private and romantic. There is a resort car available to take you to locations within a certain distance, which was super convenient. The staff offered assistance in booking a hot air balloon ride and offering suggestions for places to eat and things to see in the area. Shout to Gabriel C, for driving us and to Jacob at the concierge desk for the assist in booking. We look forward to our next visit!

Loved my stay at Estate Yountville! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and has such a relaxing vibe. Everything felt top-notch and well taken care of. The highlight, though, was the bar. Ivan, the bartender, was fantastic. He made amazing cocktails, had great recommendations, and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. He really elevated the whole experience. Can’t wait to come back!

This is an amazing hotel. It’s perfectly located for restaurants and wine tasting. The hotel staff are amazing. The rooms are comfortable (best pillows and mattresses I’ve ever slept on). The amenities are stellar. Breakfasts are included and have something for everyone. There was wine tasting with nibbles available for 2 of our 3 nights. There is a golf cart or vehicle available free of charge for drop off or pickup from local restaurants. I have nothing but positive to say and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Ivan is an outstanding bartender at Villagio. He’s not only quick and efficient, but also makes every guest feel welcome with his friendly personality and great recommendations. The drinks are always perfectly balanced, and he has a great eye for detail. Ivan goes above and beyond to make sure the experience is top-notch—whether it’s remembering your favorite cocktail or suggesting something new. He really elevates the atmosphere and makes Villagio a place you want to keep coming back to.

This place is by far the best hotel experience we have ever had. From the location to the hotel itself, to the attentive staff. Beautiful room and the grounds are impeccable. I felt extremely comfortable at all times. We will be back!

We had the best experience at The Estate Yountville thanks to our bartender, Ivan. He went above and beyond with his service knowledgeable, attentive, and truly made our time here special. Ivan’s energy and hospitality were outstanding, and he turned a great evening into an unforgettable one!

This is a great place for couples, families or groups to stay in a cozy, elevated property, in the heart of Napa. The live music at breakfast and nights is a nice touch.

Yelp
Very nice hotel to stay in the city! Walking distance on restaurants and stores! Rooms are nice and clean! Had a goodnight sleep!

Yelp
This is the quieter side of the resort and Thursday night is the free wine tasting event at the Villagio. Also Friday and Saturday from 5-6 pm Neilani who works at the front desk is very knowledgeable about the area. She helped me with recommendations for nail salons and restaurants. It is really quiet on this side of the hotel (Vintage House) and the rooms are gorgeous and the staff is very helpful and they give you a glass of welcome champagne upon arrival.

Yelp
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, including a large bathroom and a balcony that made for easy lounging in the evenings. Lots of small extras came along, like complimentary snacks in the room, nightly turn down service, etc. and as someone who travels quite a bit for work, the little perks made a really nice difference in the quality of the stay. Also, the staff was really helpful and friendly, especially the doorman who shuttled us up and down the street so we could do some wine tasting. Front desk, waiters, bartender, etc., were also very cool. Should also mention that breakfast came with the room, and was really good, especially the omelet guy. On a couple of mornings there was live guitar music during the breakfast and that was really impressive. As far as things to do, we borrowed the hotel e-bikes and cruised through vineyard roads with their map, which was great and I definitely recommend doing. We'll definitely put this on the list of places to come back to.

Yelp
I enjoyed our stay at Vintage House. The hotel is in pristine condition, although my room did have some random damage to the walls and doors. A little disturbing to look at, but not really actively affecting my stay. Shrug. I first checked in pretty late my first night. The lobby was quite the gathering spot with lively guests interacting and having the best time. I mention this because that is usually NOT the Yountville norm. It wasn't disruptive, but more joyous in feel. The next morning, the same area converted into a serene breakfast buffet spot. Versatile! The front desk and valet staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Yountville is always my preferred area in which to stay when visiting. Vintage House's location is highly desirable and within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in the area. Because this area is north of Downtown Napa, it is also significantly closer to most of the wineries too. Win, win!

Yelp
The bungalow and property are nice looking but the bed mattress was awful. Soft and you fall into the middle. Just awful. The bathroom has 2 sinks but only 1 with a mirror and lights. The other has a window in front of it and no lights. What 5 star property chooses to provide no mirror above a bathroom sink??? There's a full body mirror in the bathroom but it's too close to the sink to stand far enough away to view yourself. The closet has a wooden bar that makes moving clothes around difficult. The room comes with a steamer but no ironing board or iron. Requested one and it took an hour for delivery. The room is never cleaned unless you request it, and even then you sometimes have to call to request cleaning multiple times. The staff seem genuinely uninterested & lazy. The complimentary breakfast is good but the coffee and hot water are always merely warm. This property is so far from any 5 star resort we've been to it's just amazing it's rated 5 stars. It's beautiful cosmetically in the lobby, the grounds, the pool, but the room itself (bungalow king) felt like a motel 6. It is perhaps a 3 star property at best, but when you're laying in the middle of the horrible bed and looking at cobwebs on the chandelier overhead knowing you won't sleep well it's not a great feeling. I would never return or recommend this property to anyone.

Yelp
Got to experience this place for my birthday. We booked using Amex and got early check in. There was no valet because of covid but they have a huge parking lot that has plenty convenient spots. We checked in and the atmosphere is very welcoming and calm. The room was big and clean with a bottle of wine ready to be opened. The pool area is 24/7 and they just implemented a bar area at the pool. I'm not sure when it starts and ends but it was the first weekend they had it. The actually estate is clean. I loved our room placement. It was directly in front of the pool and easily accessible to the private parking lot strictly for guests. The only down fall was i thought there would be room service. They did left us know someone would be happy to go and get food for us anytime for a fee. Not a big deal since everything is walking distance. I just love being lazy sometimes. As others began to arrive at regular check in time i did notice them being offered a glass of welcome champagne. I'm not sure if this was complimentary upon arrival as we did not receive one but we figured maybe early arrivals didn't receive since they probably didn't have it ready ‍. We did get an envelope that included breakfast for 2 and a credit that came with our reservation package. Either way i would come back. It's clean, accessible. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable of the estate history. Quiet grounds. Just up my alley to relaxation.

Yelp
Was highly dissatisfied with the amount of money spent and the lack of accommodations and service. I booked this for my parents who were celebrating their anniversary and I spent $3,200 for two evenings thinking they would have this wonderful romantic experience. For a week I tried calling the concierge multiple times after booking the room to see if they could help with some wine tours or other recommendations for activities and restaurants. Left multiple messages and never revived a call back. Spoke with a lady who seemed polite , may be because she needed my credit card information , I shared I was having issues getting I touch with the concierge and if she could help get my parents a bottle of champagne or something since this was a special occasion . She said she could see if that could happen. My parents first trip to Napa, I was hoping it would be memorable. They arrived and yes, received a glass of champagne. They called the concierge multiple times no response , they wanted to get help with booking some wine tours, finally the last day they got a person who said nothing was available. They eventually found a couple of places to explore and found Lucy , which they loved. They sent pictures while they were there and I felt so bad, even though they would never complain, I felt this was not money well spent. They did visit another area lodge and their concierge hooked them up with a wine tour, which they said was wonderful. After buying wine they found the concierge would not help them ship their wine home to another state. For the $$$ I recommend going to the other well rated hotels in Yelp the Bardessono Hotel and Spa, they helped my parents and they had nicer accommodations. Jen

Yelp
Terrible experience. Elizabeth (manager at the front desk) was rude and boorish. First of all, we didn't have a blanket in the second room, therefore we had a bad, cold night. When we told her our complaint, she said we should have called (at 5 am) instead of coming in the morning. What a rude answer, especially from a manager. I worked long enough in customer service to know that is the wrong way to handle customers' complaints. Second of all, we sent a notice that is going to be 4 of us and we only had 2 slippers, 2 robes, and 2 glasses. Why was it so hard to prepare the room for the guests? Lastly, we had machine broken, therefore we couldn't get a coffee in the morning. Don't you check everything before the guest's arrival? Elizabeth's answer to all of that was, that she won't speak to me, only to the guest under what names the room is! We felt worthless and sad, because we were guest too! Ridiculous! If the husband is book the room and the wife would complain, you would simply listen to only the husband???

Yelp
Such a great resort in an even better location! Vintage house/the Estates in Yountville offer a lot of complimentary amenities. In June they had free Rosé which was nice throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast had bouchon baked goods and model English muffins (if you know you know). They even have a fleet of cars that will pick you and drop you off for reservations throughout the valley. I will consider this resort first when booking future Napa stays!

Liana A.

Yelp
I've never been to a hotel where VOSS water, DIPTYQUE, kettle chips, chocolates, espresso, and protein bars are complimentary! Also includes the best "continental" breakfast that includes the BEST award winning English muffins, marmalade jam, gluten free bread, green house, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit that includes berries not just melons, chocolate croissants, to go cups, coffee, honey and so much more ! As if it doesn't get any better...it does!! A love pianist over breakfast?? 7:30am? And a steamer in each room?? This hotel has everything you couldn't bring with you in your suitcase! Staff and house cars are the icing on the cake!

Yelp
Hands down the best place to stay in Yountville. Gorgeous grounds with fountains, lush landscaping and the scent of lavender in the air. Beautiful guest rooms and really comfortable beds. The bathrooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Don't miss: the complimentary breakfast in the lobby each morning, the serene and relaxing spa (the hydrofacial is a must!), watching the hot air balloons take flight each morning on property, and strolling through the resort's vineyards. Counting the minutes until my next visit!

Yelp
I booked the hotel for our wedding day celebration. Overall, the experience is good but it's probably doesn't worth $1300+. Good things: 1. The valet staff is very friendly and willing to provide service. He made us felt welcomed. 2. The room is spacious and quiet. The decor is stylish and new, which is very important to me. Need improvements: 1. I told the hotel in advance that we are celebrating our wedding that day. When we arrived, the front desk had no clue. There's no upgrade or any sort of welcome letter. This is a bit disappointing. 2. There are stains on the faucet in the bathroom. During covid, they still want you to share toiletries and the body lotion pump is dirty. 3. The towels from the swimming pool side are dirty (huge stains)...and there are used towels and water bottles near the pool side. The staff are very friendly but they probably need to be trained better.

Yelp
A M A Z I N G. Pure, unadulterated luxury. We stayed here for 7 nights for our honeymoon, and could not have been more pleased with our choice. The location is literally perfect and in the center of Yountville: close to all the best restaurants, tasting rooms, and bakeries Napa has to offer. The amenities were extremely nice. We were welcomed with a free bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries. The pool was extremely clean and comfortable. There is also a free breakfast, which is definitely worth taking advantage of: There's even free (famous) Model bakery English muffins! Housekeeping did an EXCELLENT job of keeping our room in order. They tidied up early in the afternoon, ensuring our comfort after returning from an afternoon of tastings. After dinner, we always returned to a perfectly turned-down bed with light music playing in the background. This is undoubtedly the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and look forward to returning ASAP. Could not have asked for a more luxurious & romantic accommodation for our honeymoon.

Yelp
In covid times, my only escape is staying a few nights at a luxury resort. We booked vintage house through amex fhr and the stay exceeded my expectations. Given the season, it was very quiet in yountville which added to the tranquility of the trip. The room was nice and spacious and the staff we're all very accommodating and safe. I loved their bathrobes so much that I bought one to take home. This location is perfect - right across the street from bouchon and bouchon bakery so it provides very easy access to anywhere in yountville. They also have some bikes out front they allow guests to use during the day. The concierge recommended a small bike path that showed me a part of yountville ive never seen before. It was gorgeous. I look forward to coming back and staying here again in the future!

Yelp
We were happy with most of our stay here: breakfast: very nice spread in the lobby, including a hot egg dish (frittata one day and scrambled eggs the next), hard boiled eggs, smoked salmon and all the fixings for a bagel with lox, fruits, yogurt, housemade granola and preserves, banana bread, muffins, oatmeal. assorted juices, coffee, water. They take away the hot coffee service at 11 a.m. sharp. room: homey and updated with some nice technology touches. deluxe king, vaulted ceiling, fireplace, ~70 inch TV with Chromecast built in, bath with jets, cute balcony with seating location: fantastic. walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Yountville. Here's where the stay turned a bit sour... spa: we were told when we were brought to the room that spa services were 25% off for hotel guests but after our massage, the spa told us there was no discount. We asked the receptionist in the lobby, and he said there is a discount but it is off the day pass to the spa, not any of the services, so basically they did nothing about it. We were miffed because we would not have done the massages had we known we were going to pay full price. :(

Yelp
Stayed here in June 2020 after CA opened up the state and everything was great! We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine, check in was a breeze and we had someone to help bring our bags to our room. The room themselves were nice and I appreciated that the room had a hand held steamer (I always travel with my own but this would have been perfect if I didn't). We also tried out the pool one of the evenings. Not super busy, which was nice, and they had live music playing next to the pool on their outdoor deck. The thing that really moved me from 4 to 5 starts was the helpfulness of the staff. We had gotten back from wine tasting, wanted to swim but also wanted food so I asked the front desk what food delivered or that I could go pick up and they told me about a place down the road and said if I ordered they would walk over and get it for me. Wow. Such service. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great hotel and great location (walkable to basically everything) in Yountville.

Yelp
While perhaps a somewhat cute place, the management is non-existent and continuous mistakes were made. First, we thought we were staying at the other property (they have multiple properties in the area) and were surprised to be shuffled over to this separate "hotel." This was formerly the Vintage Inn, which we stayed at 25 years ago, when we couldn't afford anything. It was pretty much a dump back then. They've redone the main house, which is beautiful, but the cottage rooms themselves could use additional attention. Second, you get a free breakfast, but it's basically a Courtyard by Marriott set up (although kudos for the make your own Bloody Mary bar). No hot food at all, which is a pet peeve of mine. We went elsewhere for breakfast. Minor items also bothered us: we asked them to charge the Tesla when we valet parked, and they said absolutely. Of course, the next morning, we find out they never charged it. Great attention to details, guys. They didn't have any bellmen (bell people), so don't expect any help lugging your stuff down the winding path to your casita room. The fitness room is in a completely separate building, tucked away behind shops at least a block down the road. Be warned. The bathroom magnifying mirror light didn't turn on - broken. No shower caps (bring your own). One bottled water per person in the room (maybe throw some in the empty mini fridge?). We ordered room service one night - a cookie and two sodas - and it took forever and a day to arrive. Not sure what took more than five minutes to put together. Finally, at check in we were told that our room came with a complementary bottle of wine, and that it was already in the room; surprise, surprise, there was no wine in the room. No full length mirror in the room. Lastly, they conveniently "forgot" our $100 Amex credit. Of course, I politely reminded them (that's why you always check the final bill). This place has, perhaps, some potential, but it's so awfully managed we will look elsewhere next time in town.

Yelp
Awesome spot. All outdoor spaces so felt very comfortable. Great pool and great staff. I have to give a shout out to Emily for being amazing at check in as well as Cole. They both went above and beyond to make our stay a five star experience.

Yelp
We visited this hotel for our mini-moon in August. Overall, the property is very pretty and we enjoyed our room. However I do have a few complaints. My first complaint is that we didn't receive a welcome amenity. I work at a hotel and typically all hotels always provide some type of welcome amenity when celebrating a special occasion, especially a honeymoon. We were pretty surprised when we arrived to our room and there wasn't anything there. Additionally, I feel the rooms are overpriced for what you get (slightly outdated and small). We were also told that they partner with a lot of wineries in the area for discounted tasting, cheese boards, etc. However when we mentioned the partnership to the wineries we visited, they were not aware of this and did not offer us any type of discount. On the plus side, we did enjoy the complimentary bikes to ride around town with as well as the little Jeep car that offers rides to tasing rooms and restaurants close by. The employees were great including the front desk staff. Emmanuel is a property bellman and provided excellent customer service when we arrived. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. Great compared to other continental breakfasts I have had in the past.

Yelp
Sadly this will be our last time staying here. After the remodel they increased the rates, but took away amenities. No more champagne brunch, afternoon treats or bar in the lobby to get drinks pool side. They now have a continental breakfast where you can 'order' additional food, but we were never offered a menu on any day. Poor service. The front entrance is beautiful, very 'fixer upper' style, but the rooms they did just patch jobs on. In our bathroom they didn't even finish painting the cabinet and towels were folded on the rack dirty. We'll be finding a new hotel for our trips, it's just not the same and not worth the additional rate increase. Sad, since we have been coming here for years.

Yelp
We stayed at the Villagio property a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. I booked again and our reservation was moved over to Vintage House so they could consolidate guests. That sounded reasonable to me, plus Vintage House was on my list of places to try anyway. Spa was closed due to Covid restrictions. Almost all restaurants were closed, too. And...we had the time of our lives. Service was attentive, they even offered to go pick up food and bring it back for us. Luckily, R+D Kitchen, Bouchon Bakery and the Deli were open. I believe a couple of the Chiarello properties were open but the other places took care of virtually all of our cravings. Pool and hot tub were very clean. Room was also very clean, bathroom was spacious and the fireplace was wonderful. The deck was roomy and well furnished. Complimentary breakfast was served quickly and was much better than average. Parking was plentiful. There were multiple firepits which was a welcome escape. I think the only thing that was a slight disappointment was the lack of a desk or dining table in the room. As other reviewers have commented, the rooms are a little small and there is very little storage for longer stays. But for a 2 to 3 night stay, it's absolute heaven. Highly recommended.

Yelp
**Edited 5/7/2017 - No longer dog friendly :( Vintage Inn is one of my favorite places to stay. Everything about this hotel is awesome! I initially found Vintage Inn on Jetsetter and got a great deal. Yes, this hotel is on the more expensive side, but there are often deals on Jetsetter as well as on their website. Here's why I love the Vintage Inn: -Dog Friendly: Upon check-in you get a little goody bag for your pup which includes some treats and a couple poop bags. Dogs are allowed in downstairs rooms as well as the villas. There is a $40 pet fee, but that is for the entire stay. -Champagne Brunch: As much champagne as you want to drink! They have nice bottles of champagne where you pour yourself as much as you'd like. I usually make myself a mimosa with strawberries. There's also a made-to-order omelet station, a variety of bagels, breads, fruit, hard boiled eggs, Irish style eggs, potatoes, steel cut oats, nice cheeses, and more. There are additional hot items that swap out like breakfast burritos, quiche, etc. If it's nice, we eat on the patio with our dog, otherwise we just bring it back to our room. -Afternoon Tea: From 3-5PM, they serve tea, little tea sandwiches and various little desserts that I can't get enough of. I try not to fill up here, but it's hard not to pass it up! -Villagio Spa: Staying at the Vintage Inn gives you access to the Villagio Spa. It's probably a 5-10 minute walk from the Vintage Inn to the Villagio Spa, but it's so worth it! They have an outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, and Roman baths. The Roman baths have multiple spouts so you can clean every part of your body. They have nice products to use as well. -Rooms: You get a bottle of wine in your room to enjoy at the start of your stay. Each room has a fireplace and a mini fridge. There's also a large spa tub in the bathroom as well. The bathrooms have been surprisingly really large too. The king size bed has also been comfy. I've only stayed in a downstairs interior king and a villa. We like the villa a lot because it was detached, so we couldn't hear anyone upstairs or next to us. The bathroom and spa tub in the villa though aren't as large as the bathroom in the downstairs interior king rooms. The king rooms are nice, but we could hear the people above us as well as the water running from what sounded like the room next to us. This could definitely be improved here. -Concierge: Since we were staying so close to The French Laundry, we wanted to see if could get reservations there for my birthday. My husband called the concierge and they were able to get us reservations for the exact date and time we wanted. These reservations were worth the price we paid to stay at the Vintage Inn! We've also had them make reservations for us at Bottega and they recommended a great pet sitter which we use now every time we go up to Napa. -Location: I love the town of Yountville. The Vintage Inn is situated perfectly being so close to The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery, and Bottega. There are nearby tasting rooms as well. Although the rooms aren't the best, I think all of the other amenities are worth staying here. I highly recommend the Vintage Inn if you're in Yountville.

Michelle P.

Yelp
The Vintage House at the Yountville Estate offers the perfect location - just between the French Laundry and Bouchon with a myriad of other eateries and tasting rooms between and beyond - and gracious hospitality. A stay at this 22 acre property includes complimentary all day snacks, a generous breakfast buffet, a house car shuttle and luxury e-bikes. The staff is welcoming and accommodating especially Dylan Cravea at the front desk who greeted our every question and ask with a smile and a quick yes. The rooms include fireplaces although they're out of commission for now given the recent Napa fires. However the serene patios off every room more than compensate and make for a relaxing stay in the heart of Napa. We will be back soon!

Yelp
I usually stay at Villagio in Yountville but this is my first time at Vintage House since their update due to Villagio now getting a major face lift.(almost finished) When you are a regular at either of these places they offer you a nice little discount that I appreciate after my more than a decade loyalty. This place was very charming, pool was cool yet not too cold and great healthy and not so healthy poolside fare. Your stay includes breakfast that is probably in the best setting for Villagio vs. Vintage House. Food was excellent (try that homemade yogurt with homemade jam on top!) though I prefer Villagio a Star higher. But the spread was constantly updated and replaced and I liked that it was a separate building with nice seating indoors or outdoors in a quiet park like setting. Mimosas and special coffees can be requested but are extra charge. I used the espresso machine in the room before coming down so it didn't matter much to me. The pool area filled up quickly but the waves of people being there turned over just as quick. Just coming here- or anywhere in Wine country can be a nice extension to summer! It's a hour or so away and if you can stay for the weekend it really is a great reset & recharge. I was there for my Anniversary and was just so slammed before coming out- I called concierge to sort me out 3 great dinners at the last minute and Auggie came thru big time for us! Cafe Jeanty (never been and hubby & kiddos enjoyed too), Bottega( hubby's fave) and Mustards Grill(Cindy's Backstreet now closed- & she's my fave chef!) Someone once said, "a hotel is only as good as their Concierge!" I never understood or experienced that till this trip and predicament. We all had a great chill time. Oh and bikes are on stand by if you want to bike the neighborhood or to your tastings. The perfect middle of the block walks after dinner- go see Chef Keller's garden. The room's balcony chairs are also a huge plus to hang out in-a great bonus! Can't wait to return!! If you haven't tried it yet- just go with friends! Get booking!

Yelp
Immediately fell in love with this hotel: nice, quaint, beautiful property, spacious rooms, close to everything, 24 hour pool, and delicious included breakfast. Eve award: one of my top hotel experiences Cost to worth it rating: 4 Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - Grounds: gorgeous plants, flowers, and fountains all around. Rooms are in a set of small 2 story buildings - Pool hours: open 24 hours which I love, as I enjoy a late night swim and hot tubbing session - Rooms: large with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub (another big bonus for me), seating area, extra sink, high ceilings, and balcony. Could just hang out here for a while (if there wasn't so much wine tasting and great eats to be had) - Full breakfast: not just a few rolls but fantastic variety including my fave omelet man as well as serve yourself bubbly - Location: right on the main street of Yountville, so can easily walk to the tasting rooms and eateries which was so convenient - Villagio perks: since the properties are both owned by the same company, you can use their pool, spa, etc. (though it's a walk down he street on the other side of the shopping complex) Lowlights: - Spendy: quite a bit more than we typically pay for a hotel room ($300-400) , but it was a one night special occasion for us. However in this area you can get just a motel for a good amount of dough as well. A new favorite lodging spot that I'd like to come back to as often as I can.

Yelp
I have such mixed feeling about this place! I would give it a 5 stars if they weren't doing so much construction there. No one told us before we booked it and for in the mid $300's, it'd be nice to not have men painting the railing as you walk out your hotel room door. Or to drive around cement trucks and workers to get to your room. They did give us a choice to stay at their sister property a block away The Viaggio since they had no pool, and it was so noisy. We went and checked it out, decided the gym was in the middle of the two properties they shared, the rooms were already upgraded at Vintage and they had yet to do them at Viaggio. So we decided to stay put. I absolutely loved our room! High ceilings, white, wood, fireplace a nice balcony. They put us as far away from the construction that they could. The bedding was stellar and so comfortable. My favorite was the cashmere throw. Nice double headed shower, huge! Refrigerator, complimentary bottle of wine in the room, and the best breakfast spread you could want! Omg, it only goes until 10 so do not miss it. Fresh everything. eggs, pastries, bagels with fresh jams, potatoes, chartruteries with cheeses and meats, nuts and berries. Fresh fruits, the best granola ever! Did I mention Champagne? coffees, teas, honey. Just amazing. I wish we had planned on staying another night but we made reservations down the street in St. Helena for the next night. We were really disappointed about the worker right out front of our room, the paint smell and all the trucks.. They did their best in the meantime but they should discount rooms while going through all this. They are located on the far side of town right when you get in. The Marketplace is next door with places to eat, Botegga, the French Laundry is across the street just a block down as well as their garden. You can definitely walk everywhere from here in Yountville.

Yelp
A great stay at first, but we needed an extra night for a large group we had and they wanted to charge almost $2000 a night This was simply taking advantage of a large party Not that cool when we spent so much already Ruined whole experience

Yelp
I'm always weary to stay somewhere new, especially since we have been so lucky with hotels in the past. But since Villagio is being renovated, we decided to stay here. I think this place is beautiful. The rooms are a really great blend of modern and old. We paid a little more to stay away from the highway and it was worth it. Our room had a large jacuzzi tub and shower, but I would have preferred the complete walk in shower like our friends had. I love the decor and the cute deck. The pool area was also very well maintained. Breakfast was mainly continental. We ordered an omelet one day but likely wouldn't do that again. It was very bland. I'm not a huge breakfast eater so this isn't a deal breaker. Especially since you can walk to mini model bakery or bouchon down the street. The location was my favorite of all the places we stayed. The staff was great and was always helpful. The main issues centered around room service. We personally had no issues, but our friends stated that they didn't get new towels, there was a ring in the toilet that didn't look like it had ever been cleaned and they said there was some "shaving cream" in their shower that had not been cleaned. I would stay there again but hopefully they can take this feedback and improve on the cleanliness.

Yelp
4.5 STARS! Had a great stay here with my wife and daughter (6 months). Upon entering the lobby for the first time, we received a warm welcome from the front desk staff which included a glass of bubbly! Our room was ready before check-in so we headed straight there. Our room was very nicely decorated with a modern-vintage feel. I really liked the simple yet elegant bathroom with dual sinks, rain shower, and full jet tub. The comfy room slippers were a nice treat. Didn't get to spend time on the patio but it looked very inviting. Before our arrival I told guest services it was my wife's birthday and they remembered to give her a nice note (they also threw in a nice bottle of champagne!) I could spend all day in the lobby which has so much character. There are ample areas to sit in and relax. There are reading materials spread throughout and tables if you need to do work (WiFi works throughout the whole property). The complimentary breakfast was good however, it could have used more hot food choices. (We stayed at Villagio last year and liked their spread). The pool is nice with neat a firepit in the corner. There are ample seating areas and a hot tub overlooking the pool. The grounds are well kept and you'll feel very relaxed at this place!

Yelp
I hate to give this place such a terrible review, but now that this place has been sold, the charm has also left. We have stayed here for years. It has always been our pick. Sadly, I think this might be our last time staying here. We arrived to find the old lobby completely demolished. No longer did we walk in to see an inviting, warm fireplace going, the kind concierge lady sitting to our right, and the friendly cats greeting us while on the property. This place has become another hotel. Staff was nothing spectacular. We did not even receive a "welcome back." One of our main reasons for always choosing this place was for the amazing tea time. There was always something different, and there were staples like the fantastic lemon curd that I always looked forward to eating. Not anymore. Cookies that tasted like they came out of a Safeway package and Mrs. Field's Nibblers, flat biscotti, and a scone with nuts. No jams, no curds, no little tea sandwiches, nothing special. I should have gone to Bouchon for a nice pastry. I can't even imagine what breakfast will now look like. Granted yes we get food, but for the inflated price we are paying during these months when it's not that busy, I expected the old charm. I recommend other cozy places like the Milliken Creek Inn. It is about the same price, but they have a nice wine, fruit, and cheese hour, and a great in-room breakfast that is included as well. I'm sad this place has lost the old charm. I miss the sofas in front of the fireplace, and the leather chairs. I miss the cats, the beautiful property, and the concierge lady. I guess money changes all. We even went to the Villagio (sister property) to see if their tea time was the same. Sadly, we saw the same sad cookies. No longer is there the giant, long table filled with delicious snacks. If you have stayed here before, don't expect the old.

Yelp
I've stayed at four hotels over four trips to Napa Valley, and Vintage Inn is the one I'm most likely to revisit. The hotel is lovely, the location prime, and the price is reasonable by wine country standards. Matt B. and I booked it for MLK weekend this year, our second consecutive MLK weekend in wine country. My birthday is in mid-January, and as last year was my 30th, we stayed at Bardessono. That seemed like overkill for a 31st birthday/normal three-day weekend getaway, and as it turned out, we had just as nice a time with Vintage Inn as our home base. The main thing is that we like to stay in Yountville. We've stayed in Napa proper, and that just requires so much more driving and/or paying drivers for full enjoyment of the Napa experience (drinking in a series of classy locations, to the edge of blackout). Our wine tasting strategy is to drive out to a winery or two in the early afternoon, then come back to Yountville and hit tasting rooms within walking distance. It works pretty well, especially when we can get dinner in town. Of course, Vintage Inn has other selling points, too. It's a charming place, with a lightly ornate country style. I'm pretty sure at least half the furniture in our room was from Restoration Hardware, but like the traditional end of the Restoration Hardware spectrum. The lobby is nice, and there are various free breakfasts and snack times. We helped ourselves to some pastries and mimosas when we first arrived, before our room was ready. Our room was great, spacious and homey, with a big, downy bed. There was also a complimentary bottle of red wine, which we drank because it was free, even though we knew it would cost us. Vintage Inn isn't as luxurious as Bardessono, but it's perfectly comfortable and a lot more affordable--about $300 a night, which isn't cheap or anything, but doesn't strike me as terrible for a decent hotel in Yountville. Odds are good we'll come again next time we're in Napa Valley.

Yelp
As you can see. I Loved it here! Our room was beautiful! Farm house architecture with modern decor. Working fireplace. Complimentary sparkling wine with a card wishing us a great stay and a happy birthday. King size bed, love seat and reading chair over looking the pool/hot tub. Free breakfast served until 11am. What an amazing spread! Steel cut oatmeal, fresh whole fruits or sliced. Granonla, yogurt, parfaits, eggs, assortment or bagels and cream cheese or butter. Banana bread and croissants . So much to choose from. So many restaurants in walking distance. It was so relaxing. Kind of reminded us of Cape Cod minus the water. Would totally recommend the place to anyone! Now on to the restaurant reviews!!!

Yelp
Beautiful , modern and light. It's very early this morning as I make my way to this hotels spacious lobby in search of a cup of coffee . There are stations that are each set up so clean and shiny with this mornings breakfast fare. I pour myself a cup into a perfect shaped mug, then make my way around the room. A huge pot of steel cut oats is bubbling under its lid. All the accoutrements are there. There is a sweets table with fresh muffins and croissants. On the opposite wall is fresh juices, eggs, smoked salmon and many bread choices. I grab my cuppa and wait for my hubby. This room is modern but cozy too. I'm loving the design. Very architectural digest. Great aesthetics ! I'm contemplating the very lovely room I slept in last night. What a clean and well appointed room. I just loved it! Everything you want and more. Before I leave I will take a hot bath on this very crisp morning. I cannot wait to return to this wonderful hotel with its updated vibe but old fashioned hospitality. Excellent and genteel staff. See you soon!

Yelp
Beautiful property in the perfect location; Vintage House is located in the heart of Yountville, adjacent to wineries and restaurants. From the time you enter, to the time you check out, the staff treat you like royalty with their excellent hospitality and courteous nature. The rooms are warm and cozy - they definitely don't feel like a hotel room, but rather a small cot. Views are gorgeous from the estate, and the property offers so much to their guests (yummy continental breakfast, the spa, gym, bikes, just to name a few). We truly enjoyed our stay at Vintage House, and this will definitely be our place to stay when we return to Napa Valley. It's lricey, but worth every dollar. We highly recommend!

Yelp
Requested second floor king room when I booked the reservation for our honeymoon. Was assigned first floor room upon checking in but manager was nice enough to upgrade us to a room on the second floor and even sent up a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. First night - water felt cold but we didn't shower until the next morning so that's when we realize there was no hot water. The boiler turns out to be off, they fixed it but delayed our day by an hour or so... No biggie. When we got back later that day, it felt super hot in the room even though the AC was on. Didn't call the front desk until 9:30pm cause we figured it was just because it was so hot during the day. Turns out the compressor was broken. They offered to replace it right away but we were tired so waited until the next day. Again, not even that big of a deal. Today, being our last full day here, we decided to have a relaxing pool day... Except it was NOT relaxing at all. There was a very large group of people who are apparently here for a wedding. They took up most of the pool area and the pool, and were just super loud and obnoxious all day long. Based on their conversations most of them weren't even staying here! They're staying at different places down the street! It was the worst day of our honeymoon and I definitely blame the hotel for not telling the group that they cannot have this many people crowding the pool who aren't even staying here. And someone was coming around taking orders from everyone all day so it's not like they're not aware of how loud and obnoxious these people were. Sorry, but just because you're here to attend some wedding does not trump my honeymoon. It's BS that all these people are treating this place like it's their own backyard pool. Next time I'll go stay at a holiday inn.

Yelp
If I was able to give 6 starts, I would. These quaint rooms are equipped with a stone wood fireplace, gorgeous shutters, a private balcony or patio--a real cottage feel. Enjoy the modern comforts with a large TV, comfortable weighted robes, a large bath tub/rain fall shower head. I love how everything was so beautifully thought out. In the mornings we were delighted to find a generous spread of breakfast items (the best hotel breakfast we've ever had.) The pool looked gorgeous. The lobby was divine. We will forever have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Vintage House.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the property 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. This time, not so much. We booked two nights in early June, which was confirmed and then our card was charged $1600. The day before our stay, they called and cancelled our reservation (super odd as other properties in Napa were open so their reason for cancelling due to Napa county ordinance didn't hold up). It is now nearly a month later and they have yet to refund our money. I've called three times and have gotten the run around and no action. Horrible customer service and they've lost my vote for any future stays in the wine country.

Yelp
My Girlfriend and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary, we loved every aspect of it. The staff was courteous and went the extra mile on numerous occasions. They gave us a room upgrade upon arrival (AmEx), made favorable adjustment to our drink charges, and gifted us with a Anniversary present free of charge! The space was quiet and cozy. The wood fireplace in our room was the perfect touch. The lobby was gorgeous, and the breakfast they served in the morning was phenomenal The Hot Tub was lovely too

Yelp
I have stayed at many hotels in Yountville and the Vintage House is my absolute favorite place to stay in Napa! I love the charming colors, decor, and landscaping. The rooms are spacious, have a fireplace, and ours had a lovely patio for sipping wine. Also, it is located on a beautiful street close to many wonderful restaurants that are in easy walking distance. I hope to go back for a visit very soon!

Yelp
Excellent accommodations. A cozy yet modern place to stay while in the valley and wine tasting. The staff are very friendly and happy to make your stay extra special. Breakfast is delicious and there are a variety of selections.

Yelp
Rooms are nice but very pricey. Service is meh. I left my louis Vuitton bag in the room after I checked out and when I called to ask about it they took days to respond to me. Then said they couldn't do anything about it. They didnt find it, and I should file a police report. So basically they stole my expensive property and told me I should have insurance and make a claim. Worst experience ever. If you have anything expensive or value service, this is not the place for you.

Yelp
If you're looking for a relaxing stay without the stuffiness of "high brow" hotels, give the Vintage Inn a try! My husband and I stayed here for a two night stay during a long weekend in Napa. The location of this hotel can't be beat - it's close to the major highways through the Napa Valley, but also right on the quaint road through Yountville, a foodie paradise. We arrived later in the evening and were warmly greeted. Upon entering our room we were met with spotless accommodations and a lovely evening turn down service. Our particular room was Room 206 - a downstairs king that had been remodeled to include a subway tiled shower/tub. Our room was spacious and comfy, with the decor making us feel very at home. The bed was wonderful - I slept like a baby, even without the assistance of the welcome bottle of wine left for us. Our only regret on the room is that we didn't get to enjoy our patio due to our limited stay. Breakfast included an ample selection of food, from typical cold continental style breakfasts to an omelet bar. My husband's only complaint was that there was only one daily hot entree offered besides the omelet station. While he would have liked to see a second offering, we still felt it was a great selection of items. Overall our stay was relaxing and we enjoyed the quiet and subdued nature of this inn. The landscaping has been done in such a way as to really enhance the feeling of privacy for all rooms, and it's easy to forget that you're staying in an inn right off the main road. The concierge was fantastic and directed us to our favorite winery of our trip - certainly ask her for recommendations! We'd love to go back for a longer stay and enjoy more time enjoying the inn and spending time at the associated spa.

Yelp
We gave it 5 stars for the customer service from Emmanuel and David they were top notch. They were attentive and we were driven to some great wine houses. Hotel is showing a little wear and tear, however still beautiful. Great job! We really enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
Vintage House must be in severe financial difficulty or on the verge of bankruptcy due to Covid-19. We cancelled our reservation 8 weeks ago and still have not received our refund of almost $6200. I was originally told I'd receive the money in 6-14 business days. The worst part has been their active avoidance of the situation. There has been no candor and in the rare/few times I've managed to reach someone I feel like I'm being lied to. Two weeks ago, I was told I'd be put on the "expedited list" which sounds like something made up. Last week, Joanne promised to look into it and call me back on Friday, but I never heard back from her. This is really a shame as my wife and I love the Vintage House and I was looking forward to taking my son there for a special Napa vacation. I'll never stay there again. They are not to be trusted with my money or anyone's money.

Yelp
This review is for the service we received. My husband and I went away for a romantic getaway for President's Day, we check in and go to our room, behold it has two double beds when we ordered a king. I call the front desk and she makes my husband walk over with the confirmation, when he comes back he says that they don't have king rooms and they offered us a cheese plate. SERIOUSLY? WTH? I call the front desk and say we simply will not stand for this. The girl at the desk starts to say that since we booked on Hotels.com the bed is not guaranteed, then she says there was a mistake in the computer system and finally she says she can't switch us because other people paid more for their rooms. We paid $300, I'd say we deserved great service. So by this point I'm annoyed. I said the least she could do was offer us a massage to make up for the mistake and her response was that that the massage is worth more than the bed. So at this point I wad done, I simply said either you switch us to your sister property, or a king room in your property or you find us another place with a king bed. Otherwise we will cancel out the entire transaction after our stay and you will receive no money and a really bad review. She called us after about 5 minutes and said they a room for us at the Villagio with a king bed. I felt compelled to write this because the way they handled the problem was just unprofessional. Instead of owning the mistake she tried to blame everyone and everything and her offer was a cheese plate. I hope they learn from this and if in fact there was a computer error, fix it because our reservation said the king bed was confirmed and we can both read. The room was nice, the beds looked quite nice and the bathroom and tub looked romantic and had a French country feel.

Yelp
We had a good time during our stay here, but we missed the personal attention you get staying somewhere like our favorite: Inn on First Street. Vintage inn was perfectly nice. We worked with Travis from Napa Valley Reservations and he got us a great deal. Unfortunately they were out of king beds but we were able to get a room with two queens. I liked the idea we could bring our dog, though this time we decided she should stay with her aunt. I had read that the downstairs rooms hear everything upstairs but I did not find this to be true. It was nice a quiet. Our room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfy. It was great having a fireplace on a cold morning, and we loved the fun additions like the window seat/bench and the giant whirlpool tub and l'occitane toiletries. The pool was small but refreshing and they have an awesome set up of lounge chairs and shaded day beds. You can enjoy wine poolside. The staff was friendly but definitely not above and beyond, my husband had ordered flowers for our room prior to our arrival and he found it tricky to coordinate with them since they couldn't find the reservation in their system and kept transferring him to their sister hotel. One of the highlights was breakfast. They had a waffle station and and omelet station in addition to tons of local fruit and pastries. Proximity wise, the Vintage Inn is in a great location. You can walk across the street to Bouchon or Bottega and there are tons of local wineries within walking distance. If you are looking to stay in Yountville, check it out!

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to get away from it all and celebrate our 4th year anniversary in Yountville. And since I'm such a huge fan of Thomas Keller's restaurants we decided to stay in Yountville where Ad Hoc, Bouchon and French Laundry are. Since I live to eat, I am in absolute heaven every single time I visit Yountville. Anyway, we decided to stay at the Vintage Inn since we got a decent rate and it's located within walking distance to all the restaurants. Check-in was a breeze and they upgraded us to a suite! They also had iced tea and lemonade upon check-in which was great! From 3 to 5 in the afternoon, they also have a tea service in the lobby which was awesome! They had different types of tea, scones, no crust sandwiches... Absolutely loved it. They also serve a complimentary champagne breakfast which included an omelet station, various choices of pastries, bagels etc. Loved the spread- it was delicious! Service was great all around and we will definitely be back. I also got to enjoy their spa facilities since I was a hotel guest and enjoyed every minute of it.

Yelp
I thought about taking a star off because the price, but, in thinking about it, even this Yankee thinks the price is worth it. I booked a Monday night at the Vintage Inn as a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday. (I still can't use the word fiance. It just me think of that episode on Seinfeld where that one annoying woman keeps crying that "I've lost my fianceeeeeeeeeeee. The poor baby," and Elaine leans in and says, "I think the dingo ate your baby.") I had a hotels.com reward night. In case you haven't discovered the awesomeness that hotels.com rewards are, after 10 booked nights, you get one free. There is a monetary value attached--the 10th night is work the average of the previous 9 nights. My rewards paid for a little less than a night at the Vintage Inn (which also had a summer special going for week nights), but hey, I thought, we wouldn't normally stay at a luxury hotel like this. I had heard about the complimentary afternoon tea so made sure we arrived in time. It was amazing: gougeres, shortbread, scones, mini blueberry cupcakes, lime wedding cookies, mini sandwiches, and banana biscotti. I might have eaten a few meals worth. We got to our room, which was lovely, spacious, and had nice amenities like a complimentary bottle of wine and features like a fire place and jacuzzi tub. We then went to check out the Villagio Spa about a block away (the Vintage Inn's sister spa). The spa made the stay worth it--and would make a night worth it even without hotels.com rewards. Guests at the Vintage Inn have free spa privileges and even if you don't book an appointment for a special expensive treatment, you can have a very pleasant time using the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, taking complimentary toiletries, and munching on the little snacks in the fireplace room upstairs (the only area that is unisex). Olives and truffles? Who cares if I just ate 5 pounds of afternoon tea. So I was wrong about one thing. I booked the night thinking we wouldn't normally go to a place like the Vintage Inn, but the boyfriend/ fiance/ guy has decided that we're returning multiple times--even without the hotels.com points. (Of course, unlike me, he doesn't leave finger prints on nickels.)
