On the Grid : Retro Vegas

"This midcentury staple on the edge of the Arts District could decorate the entire set of Mad Men in a pinch. With a warehouse full of furniture that exudes cool, it's tough to get in & out without buying something. They seem to specialize in unique bars, the kind that you showcase in your rumpus room overlooking the pool circa '66. There's a lot of affordable stuff if you're waiting until next paycheck: vintage glass, ceramics, and ornaments. Look in the glass display case for a glimpse of Vegas days gone by." - David Hardy

The owner is very unfriendly and definitely not a people person. He would not greet us or even acknowledge that we were there. Will not come back.

Great lay out. Easy to shop. Friendly service.

Visit Vegas Places

Vintage Vegas is a blast from the past! I visited Vintage Vegas on First Friday and had a great time. The atmosphere was vibrant, with live music or a DJ spinning modern and old-school tunes. The art displayed on the lounge side is from Michael Stark, the artist of The Wall of $100s. After a few drinks and dancing with friends, I browsed the antique items for sale, many of which looked like they could have come from my grandmother's living room. If you're looking for a unique and fun experience in Las Vegas, I highly recommend checking out Vintage Vegas. It's especially a great place to visit on First Friday, when the streets are filled with people and there's a festive atmosphere. Here are some of the things I liked about Vintage Vegas: •The vibrant atmosphere with live music or a DJ •The art displayed on the lounge side •The variety of antique items for sale •The friendly staff I would definitely recommend Vintage Vegas to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience in Las Vegas. It's a great place to go with friends, family, or even by yourself.

This place was awesome! My girlfriend and I had been wandering around Vegas looking at things and we came across this place. They had a lot of cool and unique antiques. We ended up leaving Vegas but my girlfriend wanted a specific item from the shop. I reached out to them to see if they shipped out of state. They do! I was able to buy the item and shipping and they took care of packaging. I requested that it arrive before the holidays and it did! Everything went smoothly and without hassle.

I will never shop there again. Employee seemed friendly enough at first, but her customer service smacked both of impatience and distrust. I find it hard to believe shops in the area have that much theft as no one in any other shop hovered as she did. In fact, I had an item in my hand and after the 10th time (conservatively) I was asked if I needed help, I put the one item I had back and left the store. I spend several hundred dollars in neighboring businesses this week, but as a new resident, this is not the kind of welcome I want from a business. Also keep in mind I am a middle aged white guy, I cant imagine being a minority and going in there. Edit: First time I've seen this response from the owner. Having lived here 4 years now. I can say I have never been back, and I patronize all the other Antique Stores that I never had the same problem with. I like that I'm "playing the race card" while the owner is like "I can't be racist I'm a minority". Yeah you still can. Anyhow, I've told this story to so many locals and I get back bad stories from so many of them about this place. 4 years later this review is one of the most helpful of all of them. I wonder why? Oh, yeah, accuracy. (Not posted from stolen internet 😅😅😅😅😅)

Google
I went here bc in my search for the "best vintage clothing in vegas" sites I constantly read this place was a must-go just to see all the cool vintage finds, not great for clothing bc their selection was small. But i was disappointed in the whole experience. The place was dindgy and smelled of old dust, the overall ambiance was just sad. The clothes selection left alot to be desired but I knew going in there probably wouldnt be a lot. The few pieces they did have were crammed onto a rack and no organization at all. It was impossible to pull a piece out and then replace it without other things falling off the end or the item sticking out from the bunch. The other items were just meh, and overpriced. They seem to be renovating the other side of the store to a bar, and maybe when that is finished it will be more lively and not smell like an old garage. But until then I wouldnt waste my time going here.

Yelp
This was The fifth antique shop we have hit up today. Was greeted upon arrival it's a little smaller compared to the other antique shops. Still fun place to kind of walk in and look around tons of vintage stuffs

Yelp
Very good customer service! May the bartender is soooo bomb! Love her! New bar in the city and love it! Can't wait til they service food Well drinks are 5 dollars on first Fridays

Yelp
Buyer beware, Made up origins of items, Trying to sell 19th Century Items as ancient, All items over priced, I've seen all the items in there for more then 3 years sitting, truly thought that I found something special but it's just one of those failing business that is trying to be turned into a bar. It's worth the look around if your willing to highly overpay for something, Always can get a matchbook. You can tell that the "Vintage Vegas" is no longer trying to cater to the audience but rather trying to move demographic to get people drunk to buy things.

Yelp
I've been to literally every bar on Main and you should not skip out on Vintage Vegas. Service is great, and shiz, they're a new bar on Main! Go support. They've been added to the weekend rotation.

Yelp
Mood - curiosity Upon entering there were so many items to look at and take in. The owner I'm assuming, was busy with a customer but acknowledged us after he finished up. This particular store brought back memories for me that I honestly put away. There were so many pieces that my Dad had as he was gifted them from my great grandparents. The store is put to together in an eclectic type fashion. We even saw authentic vintage swimsuits from the 30-40's. Vintage toys, furniture, decorations, and misc.Everything is for sale unless otherwise noted. Would recommend Location Main/ California- parking is streets or lots

Yelp
I love shopping on Main Street and Vintage Vegas always has something new, or would that be old? Their sign says, "Dead People's Junk and Cool Crap". Definitely cool but not crap. If I'm looking for something old Vegas, this is where I shop. Besides political buttons, license plates, movie posters and some awesomely cool vintage chairs, there's also a lot a great clothes and accessories. I always find a cute purse here, like lucite and other real vintage ones. And last Christmas I got some great tree decorations, just like the ones my mom and dad had. They have tiki stuff, neon, 1950s glasses and plates, record players, you name it, they've got it. Or they can probably find it. Right now they're putting out their Halloween things. Definitely a place to come loom for haunted house ideas.

Yelp
So much stuff to choose from. Toys, clothing, decorative items. A wide span through the years. Plenty of old Vegas items to unusual collectibles. I could spend hours browsing.

Yelp
Such a cool store but totally not cool customer service. Literally walking into the store we are greeted, but not with a warm welcome but, "are you looking for something particular?", we reply, "no we just wanted to look around and see what you have." Only to get a swift, "well you have 30 minutes- we close at 5pm." Okay then... The place is super cool. Two full rooms of what I'd call 60's-70's nostalgia. From clothes, to glasses, to dresses and signs. Old postcards and a lot more. This place kind of had it all, but sadly the woman working really lacked some customer service skills. I get it, being non locals we weren't going to buy anything Big and pricey, but they had smaller items that i really thought we're cool that i might have gotten, but not after that. It's a shame. Maybe she was just having a bad day? Maybe she really just wanted her shift to be over? I get we all have off days, but you can't let it impact how you treat customers (if that even was the case). I'd recommend it to a local in need of some vintage stuff- if you knew exactly what you're looking for but if you're out of town, maybe pass it up.

Yelp
If nothing else, this place gets 5 star for staff (I think the owner?) who was friendly and personable unlike some of the other shops nearby. I happened upon a couple of things for our themed guest room and he was quick to recommend some related items. Wide selection ranging from glass/barware, clothes, furniture, and MANY cool vintage trinkets from old casinos.
google avatar

Yelp
Let me start with...if you are in need of some 1970s clothing, they have the best selection that I have seen. Crazy polyester...well, everything! Pants, dresses, suits. All colors too. There was some fun stuff in here, but it was all a bit pricey. I did find some retro jewelry at a decent price. Apparently, they were just costume jewelry, but hey that was fine with me. I love antiques, and am always in search of a good deal. Did not really have good luck here. They also have the best selection of vintage luggage that I have ever seen, but the prices were just so high. I took my jewelry to the front to pay. She rang up everything, and I handed over my card. I don't carry cash. I just don't. She then told me that she didn't have her square with her. I just stood there, thinking 'your square...okay and?'. Turns out it was her merchant services square that she uses to swipe credit cards. That settled that, I guess I was not getting the jewelry after all. I was kind of bummed, but I was not going to leave to look for an ATM, just to return, park again and give her cash. Maybe another day.

Yelp
Located In Downtown Las Vegas in THe Arts Distrct. This place has all things groovy and swanky. The owner is very knowledgeable and quite happy to answer your questions. They have a great selection of mid-century ephemera. So stop in browse, discover, and buy a little something for your groovy pad. Live It Up You Are In Las Vegas For Cryin' Out Loud!

Yelp
During these times I believe in supporting local and small businesses. Which is why I chose vintage Vegas to sell a 1950's mint condition mink. Unfortunately the snide and unprofessional young woman who looked at my garment made me regret ever going into the establishment. She was offensive in offering to buy my item for $15. I have worked in luxury retail for over 20 years, so I understand how things work. I already have offers for several hundred dollars for the piece. I always recommended vintage Vegas to wealthy tourists I assisted, but will no longer do so due to the rude and just unprofessional attitude of the staff. I recommend shopping someplace where they actually make an effort to show locals and any client for that matter, common decency and an ounce of normal customer service. During these times, you'd think a small business would be grateful for customers.

Yelp
We stopped in while we visited in May for a few minutes and it was a lovely and delightful little spot. I could've stayed forever looking but we didn't have much time but I did get a vintage hotel ashtray. The man working was very greeting and efficient.

Yelp
I have been to Vintage Vegas numerous times. I collect some specialized items which are hard to find. They offered to make a note of what I was looking for. Four times now they have contacted me as they had found items on my wants list. I can highly recommend this store. Prices are reasonable and it has a lot of really interesting items.

Jeni M.

Yelp
I went in there last weekend hoping to sell a few items. Instead of greeting, us the crabby older lady working there yelled out " the buyers aren't here." She didn't bother to tell us when they were in, so we left. Remember, people who sell stuff also buy, but we won't be coming back there to buy a thing . Work on your customer service and don't be dicks!

Yelp
Dead people's junk, cool crap, and other things. It's a bit of a trip to just walk through here and take a peek at all the various vintage and antique things for sale. I personally found the prices to be steep. But there is some really cool stuff to see. The staff aren't exactly the greatest and they definitely will keep an eye on your every move. Tip: Just don't touch anything or linger in any one spot for more than a minute. But that said, it's still pretty cool. Come take a peek then head next door to ReBar for drinks and more cool things.

Yelp
I went to Vintage Vegas in search of early 20th century art glass. They didn't have much to speak of and what they did have was overpriced in a major way. I saw easy-to-find mcm glass cocktail pitcher sets selling for more than double what you can find them for online.

Yelp
I've had a lot of luck finding vintage stuff for really good price at this store. The customer service is great. The owner even went out of his way to help me find collectible Hawaiian statues. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. Will Definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome spot, we love the front window designs and it serves as neighborhood inspiration for all of our artists! Really helps make main st. A eclectic neighborhood and the owner is a great, always has cool new stuff to feature, especially tiki stuff!!

Yelp
I'm not really a connoisseur of vintage shops & have been to only a few while in Vegas. They're really really cool if u like to browse & look at old trinkets &.pieces of history. This shop in the back has an abundance of beautiful bongos, from very small all the way up to a yard high. Soo many. If you are ever looking for a bongo or hand held drum, check this place out. . Prices were from$40/$180.. & they had tons of them!
google avatar

Yelp
The store is one of a kind! So many cool and interesting items to look at and buy. The staff is always fun, friendly, and great at helping you find what you may not may not be looking forward! If you are in vegas I would recommend going!!

Yelp
Im going to start off by saying I will NEVER walk into this establishment again.. first and last. I have never felt so unwelcomed in a store before. First I was told to leave my backpack in the front. Then in 2 separate occasions it felt like we (wife, & sister) we're being watched if we were going to steal something. We was just looking to find something for my new house. Yet this guy literally sent his two kids to give us a patrol & they Basically turned off the lights in the store while we were heading out at 5:22 pm
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Fun little place to pop in frequently as they are always adding new things. Love the odd animal curiosities and vintage clothing. Lot of walk thru made me want to buy everything I saw immediately for fear it wouldn't be there if I waited! Staff was helpful and even pointed out things related to what I was buying.
google avatar

Brad M.

Yelp
I spent a Friday afternoon checking out virtually every shop (10+) along "Antique Alley" and found myself liking this one best of all. It really is the perfect combination of clothing, antiques, value, interior shop design, selection, and finds. I walked out the door with a $25 Penguin shirt. Can't go wrong here. And the woman working the shop was just delightful.

Yelp
I was really excited to bring my mother here as she loves buying and selling with her boyfriend & I thought let's take her somewhere she has never been. Well, my bad because the customer service was horrible! She was uninformable, short, and rude. Like she didnt want to be there at all! & when asked a question she would say quickly "I dont know it's my sons store" well ok then lady, sounds as if you just dont care about your sons store then. That truly made me sad. (For her son) to have someone such as your own mom be so..uninterested in your business. Even when other guests came in the way she treated them made me want to leave. Anywho.. they had some interesting items, I was very interested in a old night gown & when I looked at the price it was $1,500! & thats what sparked my interest in finding out the backround like damn did marilyn monroe wear it for it to be that price? Haha.. well mother and I both agreed this place is way over priced! Dont be scammed do your research on items. Just because the name said vintage doesnt mean it is.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a fun little quirky shop in the arts district. They have unique and interesting items for all Vegas aficionados. The place is family owned by a couple with children who take the time to find unique and interesting items for the public. Definitely worth a stop by for a souvenir or eclectic item for the home.
google avatar

Essential J.

Yelp
So much potential here but its a total trap for casual shoppers who haven't done their homework. A Jackson Browne record going for $.99 online is listed at $25. When you start selling Goodwill bin vinyl for $25, you have lost your mind. No offense to Jackson Browne.
google avatar

Angel H.

Yelp
Vintage Vegas has the most variety of items from mid-century, Victorian, French Revolution, 1970's retro, oddities, kitsch and more.

Sumpter D.

Yelp
I would leave zero stars if I could. Literally ever single interaction I have ever had with the staff of this antique store has been unpleasant. They are racist. They keep dogs in the back in a way I would call abusive. They sell items for inflated prices. They sell items they say work which do not. And the last time I was in there, they were selling the talons of birds of prey, even though that's illegal and unethical. 0/10, would never shop there again.
google avatar

BRUCE S.

Yelp
I stopped in the other day to find they moved a couple blocks away to this location. (across from the Velveteen Rabbit bar). I see this new location is bigger than the old one with a furniture section and a big vintage clothing room! What I like about this place is the variety -the variety of items for sale and the variety of prices from dirt cheap to valuable/expensive. Something for every budget (including my small one ). Lots of Vintage Vegas items , and a backyard full of neon letters! NICE!

Carol D.

Yelp
Lmao I got a THREATENING and nasty message from "Chris R" who is apparently one of the business owners because of my honest review. Honestly, do not shop here. I can't even believe their blatant disregard for customer service. Read other reviews and you will see them getting threatening messages as well! Insanely overpriced and everyone who works here is incredibly rude. Was looking at some vintage magazines that we're all torn and written on. Asked what the best price they could give me for four of them, and the guy at the counter VERY rudely said they're 10 dollars a piece without negotiation no matter how many I bought. The shop down the street had similar magazines in BETTER condition for 3 dollars each, so I very politely commented on the condition and he obnoxiously stated "don't like it don't buy it have a nice day" worst experience antiquing in Vegas, and I frequently do. I'll never go back to this shop again.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
This place is pretty cool, I actually found the cutest tiki mug for a great price! And the owners are super nice and friendly. They have a whole bunch of furniture and vintage items. If your looking for furniture or clothing this is a good spot. They have a big selection of clothing too and suitcases and trains. Very cool
google avatar

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
The customer service in here freakin sucks! And the staff doesn't know the price on half the stuff in here! Horrible
google avatar

Yelp
So many classic thingy-majigs everywhere! Looking for that certain something you never knew you needed? You'll find tons of those at this store. An olive green table mounted hand crank ice crusher for your vintage cocktail party? It's there. Looking for a few ashtrays from old imploded casinos or a glass table lighter or an Iron that looks straight outta I love Lucy? Saw them there too. I wont tell ya about the other things I saw that I wanted though. You'll have to look for yourself. Which is pretty fun to do, I say. If these items could tell you their stories I'm sure there would be enough to make another Forrest Gump movie. As a mid-century junkie, I don't find their prices to be too high at all. Some booths are quite reasonable, as you will also find some booths that think they are the Antique Roadshow or something. The best part of Vintage Vegas is the variety of items to browse through. You will always find things that make you contemplate justification of redirecting your weekly finances. Variety of housewares are 4/5 Furniture prices are 3/5 Clothing prices are 2/5 Overall prices are 3/5 A very affordable antique store where any budget can find something. Store layout is very visual friendly. This store is a gas!
google avatar

Yelp
Had a good experience buying some unusual and unique small items and a vintage chair. I used to live in New York City so I'm used to some attitude, after reading some of these reviews sounds like people need to grow up, you either want something bad enough to purchase or you don't. If you like it buy, if not move along. If you want customer service, go to the Four Seasons. If you want something you can't find anywhere else, buy it and be happy. It's the item your buying that will bring you joy and happiness not how someone sold it to you. I'll be back, even if it's with gruff service which I take with a grain of salt.

Yelp
Found some great mid-century movie posters for a fair price. They have a lot of Las Vegas memorabilia such as match books, dice from extinct casinos, signage etc. as well as larger pieces of furniture and decorative objects. Tons of pop culture stuff too such as Mad Magazines, old toys etc. Store is well laid out with a better variety of items than a lot of the stores on Antique Alley. Well worth a look!
