Vinte-Quinta da Boavista, nr Ponte de Lima, Portugal - Explore & Book

"Tucked up in the far northern corner of Portugal, Minho is a region known for many things: medieval towns, strong traditions, staggering natural beauty. But perhaps more than anything, it’s known for producing the country’s famed Vinho Verde. Throw a stone here and it’ll land in a vineyard. They stretch like fine threads over the lush landscape, historic manor houses sitting at the heart of most. Vinte-Quinta da Boavista has to have one of the oldest, dating back as far as the 15th Century. Abandoned for 10 years, it was carefully restored in 2020, finding a new life as a wine estate and aparthotel. Among the vineyards, pastures and woodland that make up the 13-hectare estate, six cottages & apartments provide a chic and comfortable base for couples and families. Enjoy the independence of self-catering alongside plenty of hotel facilities, like a homegrown breakfast, a pool with valley views, a library, massage studio, sports court and sauna. Kids are no afterthought, either; they get a huge playhouse, climbing frames and fun activities with the affable staff. Whether your idea of holiday happiness is dozing in the gardens, touring wineries or following trails to wild swimming spots, the team are prepped to make it happen. It’s a taste of the good life, and we’re itching to go. Highs A great base for exploring the verdant Minho region, with beaches and Porto an easy drive away Families will love it: a range of self-catered accommodation, meals on request, and lots to do on-site A vast and varied estate where you can roam free, from woodland and olive groves to orchards and vineyards We hear the friendly, professional staff are a highlight of many stays A hearty buffet breakfast featuring fresh ingredients from the farm Lows You'll definitely need a car to make the most of the area A light meal service runs all day but if you want something more substantial you'll need to drive to restaurants or cook for yourself Casa de Familia is the only house without an oven Yoga and massages are typically only offered on Saturdays, but ask the staff if it's possible to arrange it for another day For a more relaxing stay, couples should book outside of school holidays" - Handpicked by our hotel experts

We spent a wonderful 8 day break here at Vinte which was so relaxing and highlighted the beauty of the North of Portugal. The story of how Vinte had become what it is today is so heartwarming and provides a real family feel to the resort. Every service you could imagine was supplied - some of the most memorable included the large tennis courts, the relaxing massage, the beautiful pool and of course the delicious food. If you ever visit Vinte I truly recommend the breakfast - every morning there would be a beautiful spread of fresh ingredients and we would choose how we wanted our eggs cooked by the wonderful chef Francesca. Moreover, the views were immaculate and the establishment was abundant with nature - we adored the many fruit trees surrounding us and will probably miss that most. As well as this we had the opportunity to explore the kitchen where Vinte makes their delicious home style products and of course we couldn’t leave without buying their amazing goods. The hotel staff were so friendly, attentive and accommodating ensuring our stay was the best possible and we were able to experience as much as we can! We are already wanting to return and are looking forward to seeing the newly built yoga spot in the mountains and the spa!

We spent a relaxing and joyful week at the residence. The accommodations were quite beautiful, with the honeymoon house being a gem. Some parts of the overall premises were slightly unfinished (main entrance of our house led to nowhere) or poorly maintained (playground in forest area), but everything that was part of the main experience was impeccable and beautiful. One wonderful facility was the children's playroom, which provided abundant entertainment for young ones. Concierge Maria also deserves special praise, always being available and taking care of any matter that could arise at a moment's notice. Cook Francisca also worked wonders with the lovely breakfast. However, some of the items on the dinner menu (looking at you, 15-Euro mediocre dessert) seemed rather overpriced for their quality. All in all, we had a lovely experience and would not hesitate to warmly recommend the place to couples or families.

Our stay at Quinta da Boavista was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and thoughtful details of the entire estate. The rooms are impeccably clean, beautifully furnished, and come with a fully equipped kitchen that met all our needs. The bedding had a luxurious feel, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. Waking up to a healthy, tasty breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options was the perfect start to our days. It’s a special treat to know that many ingredients come directly from the on-site mini-farm. The grounds themselves are a paradise. We were in awe of the orange and lemon trees, especially the unbelievably gigantic lemons which were not only stunning to look at but also incredibly flavorful. It was a delight to wander the estate, discovering the rivers and ponds where we could watch frogs singing. The swimming pool is clean and perfectly maintained, with comfortable benches that make it an ideal spot to relax on a hot summer day. For families, the thoughtfully designed child's playhouse and the more adventurous treehouse are fantastic additions. The location is also incredibly convenient for quick grocery shopping, and the surrounding scenery is surreal – perfect for cycling and hiking. We cannot recommend Quinta da Boavista enough. It’s a place full of wonder, and we are already planning our return!

I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Quinta da Boavista with my family. The place is simply amazing, with wonderful views - indeed this is a "Boavista" place! But, what it really makes the Quinta unique is their team (led by the amazing Maria) and the heartfelt details you will find anywhere you go. Quinta was made with love, attention, and details - and that made our stay a wonderful experience we'll never forget!

Just concluded our stay in Vinte! For context, I’m part of a design studio that does high end hotels, cruises and restaurants - believe me when I say they did not compromise with anything, from the quality of the buildings, equipment and finishes.. to the brand touchpoints like their welcome kits, etc. Everything was personal and so well thought of. Special attention was given to families with kids! They know what you need and are so generous to provide it. I would come back and recommend this to everybody!

I visited Vince - Quinta Da Boavista for a cooking course. The place is wonderful, with orange and lemon trees, camellias, vineyards and surrounded by eucalyptus trees. It’s all I needed for a short break from family and work. Room design, breakfast, attentiveness of the staff were on a level I rarely find in Germany. Especially surprising was genuine warmth of the hosts making us feel instantly at home. Don’t skip Francescas’s breakfast, cause everything deserves a mention: fresh eggs, fresh fruits, great choice of marmalade and nuts. Her dinner doesn’t stay behind. Even the massage and yoga was above my expectations and I say it as an experienced Yogi. I suppose it’s because hosts chose everything to be as they would like it for themselves and spend most of their time on the Quinta. I don’t often write reviews, but this place truly deserves it – a peaceful retreat that I’d gladly recommend to anyone.
