Unbelievably rude staff, the Argentinean guy in particular. He fits perfectly the stereotype that Argentinians are arrogant, insecure and lack of social skills. Good selection of wine and spirits, but the Argentinean guys needs to learn he is no longer in Argentine and adjust himself to the civilized world. Not coming back.

I shopped here yesterday to get a Christmas gift and was pleasantly surprised. The woman was extremely knowledgeable with the wines she had. I ended up going with her recommendation which was a Morgon French red wine. I’ll definitely be going back, it was a really nice experience, and far more pleasant to shop here versus the previous occupant of the space. Great to have them in the neighborhood.

Puerto Rican myself, Terrible customer service from Argentinian man. Cold and snobby. Way too old to not have respect. Miss the old workers who were nice. 😒 Such a snob.

Such a great asset to a great neighborhood! The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The selection is vast and varied. They have frequent wine tastings. I highly recommend this place!

As someone who has patronized this establishment since it’s opening. I am deeply disappointed in the decline of staff approach towards patrons. Specifically the older mixed blonde & grey haired woman who serves the counter. Some words that fit my interactions with her are condescending, inhospitable, and just outright unkind. Please bring back our curly dark haired gentle friend. Although what I spend probably doesn’t mean much to the business, it will no longer be spent here.

Lovely wine shop with a great selection of naturals, oranges, and other delicious bottles to try. Got me to the point of coming back to buy multiples of bottles I really like. Staff is super friendly and always has good recs. Now if only they had a rewards or stamp card program.. ;)

This little wine shop is in the nabe where I live. Since they opened, I have been there about a dozen times or more. I'll say the people who work there, for the most part, are obnoxioius, pretencious and condescending. Funny that, because I am not the kind of a person who buys the cheapest wines, although if I can get a nice$10 bottle all the better. Anyway, I was there recently, and as is my nature, I attempted to chitchat a bit since there wasn't many other people in the store. The usual, these people are just nasty by nature. Everything here is essentially overpriced about 20 - 30% from other stores nearby. If you look up a bottle they sell you, you will see that is the case every single time. This is what just happened to me. I purchased a bottle for $32, and with tax it was about $35. The lady there had lauded this choice, but was nothing more than just palatable. Looking it up online, this is a $26 bottle. I think if they were nicer that I wouldn't care. But I do. This last time is the last time.

Porter/ retail associate Joshua is the biggest help when I need wine for events. Stacy & Gonzalo keep the store in tip top shape. Thank you to the best wine store in Manhattan!

Yelp
Be careful using cash at this store. I wanted to update my review before I forgot so-- about a week and a half ago I visited this store and their machines were allegedly not working. My sister wanted a bottle of Prosecco that was only about $20 and since the machined were down I paid with a 100 note. The very next day we went to a restaurant where that change was my only cash and tried to pay for lunch. The restaurant confiscated a 20 note and informed us that it was a counterfeit (they showed it to us to confirm). I called that day to speak to the woman who was off putting when we went there (I had never seen her there before this day) about receiving the counterfeit. She let me know that because this store also received the counterfeit (guessing from a customer??) that it was basically my problem according to her manager. She was very rude on the phone and like I said even in person she's not the most pleasant person albeit not overtly rude.

Yelp
Inflated prices, limited selection and very slow service if you have any questions. Staff really don't care about helping you pick a wine.

Yelp
A wonderful addition to the neighborhood. We had no good wine stores except for the one VinVero replaced. The selection is somewhat limited, due to limited space, but very well curated. There are no mediocre wines here as far as I can tell, and many under $20. Not a lot of recognizable labels, but no matter: just tell the friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff what you're looking for and they will hook you up. The selection of spirits is very limited, but that's not the reason you're coming here. As an added bonus, VinVero is located in one of the finest series of food locations anywhere in the city: Pickle Guys, Diller, Kossar's Bialys, Doughnut Plant. Owned by a very nice family. The landlord is Seward Park co-op, a nonprofit, middle-class haven. So you know your dollars are going to the benefit of worthy recipients--in addition to the smaller, high/quality wine producers who supply most of the product sold here.

Yelp
People here always recommend just what I'm looking for and they're super friendly. Idk how it could have bad reviews, everyone is kind and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Just when we thought living above Trader Joe's and Target couldn't get any more convenient, Vin Vero opened up. As somewhat of an oenophile, I couldn't be happier to have a shop like this across the street. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and we love that they are natural and biodynamic focused. They do tastings on Thursday evenings, definitely worth stopping in and discovering something new.

Yelp
New to Grand Street taking over the same space as the relocated Seward Park Liquors is VinVero. They take a fresh approach to inventory in that they focus on small production wines, local spirits, and generally harder to find bottles. They're in their soft opening phase right now with lots of tasting opportunities with the new owners there to answer any questions you might have. For now it's a pretty lean operation, but they have a great foundation to build on with wines and spirits in all price points, from value picks to more sophisticated options. As a resident of the area, they're filling a much needed void that was left with the departure of the previous wine shop. Looking forward to see how they grow throughout the new year.

Yelp
Kevin and his employees always have great recommendations and delicious things to drink, and that stick to the price range you ask about. This place may also be seeing us through the pandemic. But I will neither confirm not deny that.

Yelp
This little wine shop is excellent, the inventory is limited but gratifying. All the wines are hand selected so anything you get is guaranteed to be good.

Yelp
I have shopped here a few times since the pandemic began. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and they are handling safety protocols well, with one customer in the entrance at a time. I'm glad there's a shop like this with a good selection of wine and liquor in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Went in with my husband to get a few bottles of wine, and we were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the owner is. He asked us what flavor profiles we liked, and when I mentioned a wine I'd loved in Spain, he pulled out two bottles he thought might be similar, then asked me if I remembered the color of the wine. Once I told him, he told me which of the two wines might be more similar to the one I mentioned. You can tell this man loves what he does and is committed to making sure that his customers are happy. I was also very happy to see that they carry Basque wine, txakolina, which is rare to find in wine shops. I love txakolina, and it is all I drank while visiting my family in the Basque country over the summer; I just need some incredible Idiazabal cheese to go with it, and I'll be set! The other salesman in the shop (Dewy, I believe was his name), was also very knowledgeable and helpful. We are definitely making this our go-to shop in the area, and we can't wait to stop by for one of their wine tastings!!
