Where to Stay in Lisbon When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I enjoyed the contemporary-art-filled vibe here; despite the business-style name, the comfortable rooms and suites are family-friendly and offer lovely views of the river and/or park." - Matthew Kepnes

Great hotel. 15 minutes away from the airport. Very good breakfast choices. Good AC on the room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Safe. No iron provided. Not permitted. One complimentary bottle of water. Small TV and refrigerator. Good elevators. Okay bar area. Near the Park of the Nations and the Telecabine Lisboa|Cable car. Lot of restaurants near by and the big Vasco Da Gama Shopping Center.

The hotel is handy but it comes with lot of problems and it is not good when you intend to stay in a place that gives peace of mind. I don’t know where should I start from. The hotel has only limited choice in breakfast, the ACs in most rooms are old and non-functional (I stayed in two rooms in three days), I was moved to the second room because the AC of first room was not working), but most importantly the reason for which I felt terrible was the staff’s behaviour. They are throughly rude at their highest degree. I am a frequent traveller and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the globe. This is the first time I have seen how a staff can be so rude, impolite and slow in providing service to hotel guests. I am particularly mentioning about the white young female reception staff (working around 14:15 on the 8th of September). The hotel provides a bottle of tap water in the room when they arrive. I should note that I stayed there three days with three seperate bookings. While they supplied me water for the first two days, but on the third day, there was no water. I called the reception to supply me a bottle of water but they didn’t. So I came down to the reception and requested for a bottle of tap water. The female receptionist refused to supply one for the ground that they only supply it on the very first day. I told her that every booking of mine was seperate so I should be getting one as each of them is a new booking. I know this is a silly thing to write. I could go and buy a bottle of water for a euro from the store but there was no store nearby. But it is also not only my right to get one bottle but it is a matter of empathy the hotel should display to its guests when the person is simply asking to drink water. This was not a matter of consideration for a machine-like hotel and its reception staff, so they didn’t provide me a bottle of water. I reported it to other staff there but none was taking the customer request in consideration. I stayed in Lisboa for two more days but not making any further booking in this hotel and left the place. A hotel should not be seen as a building only but facilities and customer service are critical for them, which are very much absent in this hotel. Thank you.

This hotel is a real double edged sword. It's reasonably priced, has a kind of convenient location, the staff are kind (a little assertive in the classic Portuguese style, breakfast is great (cooked continental combo) and the bar is really nice. The problem is the bathrooms in the rooms. You can clearly see that the hotel was incredible when it first opened. The rooms really need some tlc. Things leak. The TV is tiny for the size of the room etc. All that being said I was comfortable and had a nice time. One major highlight for me was the art. They had an exhibition on from Francisco Bartus while we were there. This was excellent! With a little TLC this hotel could be amazing.

Nice big hotel close to Lisbon airport and a walk from Orient Train Station.Ask for a room overlooking the front. The view is magnificent. At the back you get the Orient Train Station line. Breakfast is 15euro well worth the big spread. Short walk to the mall and the old expo site along the river.

It is the perfect hotel for your business trip in Fiera de Lisboa. Really close to the airport (just 4 stops with the underground). The city centre as well is easily reachable with the underground. Enjoy your stay with n Lisbon and the amazing pancakes of VIP Executive!

Another night at another hotel during Portugal visit. Hotel is really an art hotel with wall paintings and murals all around. First time in life saw such a huge gallery for various rooms . Reception and check in was smooth so the check out at 5.00 am. They were kind enough to provide vegeterian packed breakfast at early hours . Rooms are also cozy with varied toiletries. Being a short stay no time to taste their food. We explored to get room service but all being QR based it was not clear if we would get vegetarian food. Also they do not have swimming pool.

My girlfriend and I travel a lot, but we've never experienced anything like this before. The room was actually quite nice, with beautiful windows – but that’s about where the positives end. The bathroom: the door couldn’t be closed (not joking – it was just broken). The shower barely worked – it was either scalding hot or ice cold, with nothing in between. The shower door was leaking, and whenever we tried to take a shower, the whole bathroom ended up flooded. And this in a so-called 4-star hotel 😄. Even though we specifically requested a room with a double bed, we got exactly the opposite. What can you do? I guess things like this happen when the hotel is fully booked. (At least the beds could be pushed together – and honestly, one bed would have been enough for us.) The room itself showed clear signs of wear and tear, and there were practically no seating options in the outdoor area. To sum it up: I really don’t have high standards when it comes to hotels – I’m on my way to the Boom Festival and will be camping there for ten days. But what we were offered here is nothing short of a rip-off. In Germany, this wouldn’t even qualify as a 2-star hotel. On top of that, the location is totally unremarkable – it takes at least 20 minutes by car every time to reach the nicer parts of town. We definitely miss our much cheaper Airbnb in the old town and are glad we're only staying at this hotel for a short time. I’ll definitely avoid this hotel chain in the future – and I recommend others do the same. That said, I’d like to end on a positive note: the rooms were clean, the housekeeping was good, and the staff was friendly – even though we only had brief interactions at check-in.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. The biggest issue was that they don’t allow any cancellations. I accidentally booked the stay for the wrong month — one month ahead of my actual travel date — and even though the check-in date was still more than a month away, they told me: No cancellation No refund No changes to the reservation They refused to help in any way. No flexibility, no understanding. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Seriously, be careful. I will never stay here again — it was the worst experience.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. I only stayed one night, but I enjoyed my stay there. I mostly chose this hotel because it is conveniently located to Oriente train station. Only a 7 min. walk from this station. However, there can be a downside being so close to the largest train station in Portugal as the train tracks run right next to the hotel. I read other reviews of guests hearing the train all day and late into the night so I requested a high floor and a room that faces the ocean and not the train tracks. I had a beautiful view of the ocean and never once heard the train or the road noise below. So pro tip: request a room not facing the tracks. Also note, there is no swimming pool or fitness center. There is a full restaurant offering buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I didn't eat there. I would stay here again!

Yelp
Stayed in this hotel the first night in Lisbon and it's convenient located just 10 minutes walking from Oriente station. We requested a higher floor 11th and got an awesome ocean view. Check-in was easy and staffs were nice and professional. A/C, wifi and hot water were great! They even offered a bottle of complimentary water. We didn't hear any train noise but definitely heard the neighbor's when showering. All good and will definitely return.

Yelp
VIP was ok - IMO, not the 4star they advertise. The bed was hard, no clock, the minifridge was warm and only works when you have the key in the electricity slot. And, in this day and age, it should have a coffeemaker of some sort. In addition, the toilet seat was all chipped up and a piece of the tub/shower faucet was missing. And speaking of the tub, it was ridiculously deep and dangerous to get in and out of. Fantastic location near the train station for a super fast, easy trip to the airport on the red line.

Yelp
Thi is a good hotel in a great location. Only a few miles from the airport (less than 10€ taxi ride) but far enough away not to notice it. Near the waterfront and the Parc Nacoes with lots of bars, restaurants an shopping nearby. The reception staff are a bit slow. The quality of the building, design and rooms is very good. The art work ... Well that's all subjective ... The breakfast buffet has a good range of decent food (hot and cold) and the service is helpful and efficient.

Yelp
During our 2 week vacation, this was our 4th hotel and the most disappointing. It was less than clean, the plumbing was poor and overall the hotel is poorly maintained. It's location is its best asset for New Year's activities and access to the airport for our early morning flight.this is it a four star hotel.
