Virgin Hotel Glasgow (Glasgow, UK) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Aesthetically speaking, there’s hardly a stronger brand than Virgin, whose bold colors and utopian mid-century modernist design sense come straight to mind at the mere mention of the name. Virgin Hotels Glasgow, however, like its sister in Edinburgh, showcases a more mature side of this fun-loving group. Mature, here, doesn’t mean bland — every square inch of the place has been considered for its visual impact. But it’s a swankier, more elegant version of the Virgin we’re used to seeing, and that, needless to say, can only be a good thing." - Tablet Hotels

Had a great family get together at this lovely hotel. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Had an evening meal and the food was excellent. George and his team looked after us so well and got some great wine tasting tips (and very nice wine). Our room was fresh, modern and very comfortable, with lots of little extras provided. Highly recommended.

Booked this hotel for an overnight following a night out and as such probably didn’t take full advantage of everything this hotel had to offer.|Ideal location for hitting the town, very warm greeting on arrival. I’d booked a queens chamber (think that was the name). Not the largest room I’ve ever stayed in and has a quirky layout but was very satisfied. Exceptionally clean throughout , superb strength to the shower and a bed I didn’t want to get out off. |Maybe a little pricey but would balance that its value for money. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for some special rates to enjoy another stay

We stayed at the new Virgin Hotel Glasgow as were keen to see the "Shag Room" as our daughter had been commissioned to paint the wall mural. First of all a huge well done to the management for actively employing young up-and-coming artists, this says a lot about the companies ethos. The hotel's aesthetics are exemplary, it takes opulence to a classy new level and I can honestly say that all the staff we met could not have been nicer. They genuinely cared about our experience and nothing was too much trouble for them. If you are planning a visit do sign up for Virgins "In the Know" club to experience all the extra benefits. All in all a perfect stay and look forward to returning soon.

Myself and my husband stayed in room 602 for a weekend whilst in Glasgow for a family wedding. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, I’ve never met staff as friendly and helpful anywhere I’ve stayed before! The rooms are lovely, they even added in personal touches to the room for our arrival which was lovely to have! The room is spacious and the hotel is in a great location in central Glasgow. The only negative thing I can say is that there is not a huge amount of storage in the rooms, but that didn’t affect us that much in the grand scheme of things :) I will 100 % be staying again with Virgin.

Finally got to stay in a Virgin Hotel! Brought my fiancé for a city break for a weekend. Everything exceeded expectations. Stunning decor all around the hotel - every detail has been considered. Lauren welcomed us and they went above and beyond - so friendly and allowed us to grab our (upgraded) room early and took our bags to our room. Amazing service. All felt so effortless. Loved the Petite Chamber, I've seen some comments about the size but the separate dressing area and lounge made it feel really spacious, and the sliding door separates the areas. Dresser was perfect for getting ready, also loved that the shower and toilet were in separate cubicles. Stopped the room from getting steamy after a shower. Perfect water temperature. Bed was perfect - I haven't slept that well in a long time. Thermostat was easy to control and made the room a perfect temperature. Room controls & more on TV (loved that), especially appreciated the cast feature as I've always wanted this in other hotels! Plenty of plug sockets and USB outlets - did really like that there's USB-C PD too. We also ate in the Common Club which was superb, on the expensive side but delicious food, and the vegan options were fab (had the mushroom shawarma). I didn't manage to get the mobile key to work and did find some of the light controls fiddly (such as delayed input from the app or no input received at all) but I think this will improve with time. Also, Virgin mention that the mini bar prices are supposed to be more in line with high-street prices, but they were expensive. I'd also suggest more storage for clothing. We will be back. Thank you!

My wife took me here for my birthday. Still smell the new carpet and fresh paint it's so new! It's modern and smart. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. My only gripe is room was a bit small and drink prices expensive as I know hotel prices usually are. My wife an I had a nightcap in bar and for two Bailey's and ice it cost £18😲 I got a 75cl bottle from Morrisons for £13 the other day! I'd go back though and recommend it but I might not spend too much time at the bar🤨

I am a big fan of Sir Richard Branson. I flew from London to Glasgow to stay the night. I'm a member of Virgin Red points they was a offer of Hotel Opening offer 2,000 points I linked it to Virgin Hotel. After my stay There I checked for my points there was no point. I did email 9 times and sent 2 letters by post. There no points given to me.||What a shame I will stick to my Hilton. The Hotel was good the gym was not open there used the gym group just around the corner. Could do better with my points stay.

Went for lunch with my wife and son. Can’t fault what I had but didn’t feel special and attention to detail was lacking. My son’s starter arrived and was different from described and had to ask for the bread that it was meant to come with. My wife asked for the house champagne, was told they didn’t have it but had another and would only charge for Prosecco. Asked for a 2nd glass and was told not sure they had any. Asked what it was and was told it was “some cheap stuff they had out the back”!!! They didn’t have the ingredients for the cocktail I ordered. Offered an alternative which I accepted, then charged both on the bill. I had the £12.50 cheese board, which was nothing special. I couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars but settled on 3 as “average” covered it. Need to up their game for a £250+ meal. Don’t see us being back. Shame.
