I love getting to visit the art center. Was able to stop in today before going to the Monet experience and show a friend around. Both of us loved the artist studio spaces, being able to see them work as well as all of the local artisans work on display throughout. The exhibit that changes monthly and they offer classes as well, which I definitely want to check out and see if I can't get into one of those Here's a little parking lot right in between that they share with prosperity, kitchen and pantry

I joined one of the 8 session pottery classes, and I am so happy I did. The instructor was super helpful, and had great suggestions on how to improve my technique. I am new to pottery, but no one made me feel like I couldn't catch on. Everyone was so supportive, and had nothing but positive things to say about my *ahem* abstract pieces (they're so bad, but they're mine). The price for the classes is equivalent to or less expensive than other local studios.

Talented artists who work in many mediums. The Art Center hosts new art exhibitions every first Friday of each month. Come in and visit all the beautiful art available.

This wonderful art center showcases a rich and diverse variety of art. The Artist Gallery at the front has a new exhibit each month! The Pottery is an amazing space with all the equipment any potter would need. Classes of all levels are offered for both The Pottery and The Artist Gallery. Check it out! A great experience and a remarkable place in the Virginia Beach Vibe District!

The Virginia Beach arts center is THE place for anyone who wishes to purchase local art and take an art or pottery class. It is a 901(c)3, nonprofit organization, established to support local art through community programs, classes, and monthly exhibitions that are all open to the public. Support VBAC in anyway you can; we all need good art to brighten our lives.

Google
The most unprofessional place for developing artists. I came here to do an internship for my art degree and at first everything was fine I was sitting in classes and declined other internship offers. On my second day, Mrs Valentina told me it was ok for us to work together. Therefore I went home created lesson plans and sent them to her just for her to say she’s done enough for me by answering my questions and changed her mind about working with me. So 30 minutes later you change your mind? That’s so UNPROFESSIONAL and the fact that she couldn’t tell me to my face that she didn’t want to work with me is off putting. MRS VALENTINA YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AND GOT FREE LESSON PLANS I MADE FOR YOU! Don’t ever come here thinking this place is a safe space for developing artists. Just exploitation and people who will waste your time. Thanks for that :)

Such a warm and friendly place, the artists are knowledgable and the art so varied in subjects and mediums. From pottery to jewelry, paintings and photography, even art on scarves, all are priced to sell. I highly recommend visiting to buy art from local artists!

Google
The instructor was great,I learned so much. The gallery is small but beautiful. You can visit with the artist as they work. And the art you can purchase is fantastic.

Yelp
Was able to go back and visit the art center today. I love the artist studio spaces where they can actually be in there working and all of the local artisans work on exhibit. They also offer classes which I'm interested in trying to see if I can get into one. So much under one roof. Please go check them out

Yelp
I love the art here and the artists are so friendly. I purchased a few pieces and will revisit the center again as we get closer to Easter for gifts.

Yelp
How have I overlooked this little gem for so long! Right beside Prosperity Kitchen and Pantry and across from Esoteric is a small-looking but actually pretty large inside building with tons of local art and artists. I like that the front part has local artists on display and the exhibits change from time to time with regards to theme. In the back, there are more featured artists and workstations where they come from time to time and work. I met a few of them who were friendly and welcoming and happy to answer questions and discuss their art and inspirations. The volunteers working inside were super friendly and the art on display is almost all for sale. I saw several things I wanted to purchase and ended up leaving with a small pottery piece to start my collection. Prices are reasonable as well and I love supporting local art.

Yelp
I'd give the Basic Wheel class with Mike Graham a zero. That man is not an instructor for beginners, he's demeaning, demoralizing, rude, speaks ill of students openly in front of the class, says one thing and then does another, gives terrible demonstrations, no actual instruction, and is generally just awful. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Yelp
Phenomenal gallery chock full of amazing art work and extremely talented artists! This place is uniquely Virginia Beach! Who knew we had such amazing talent residing amongst us! Each little shared studio evokes each artist's personality and craft. It's like a look into each other's own creative world. The artists chat with you and speak about their work in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Every nook is filled with whimsical art pieces from pottery, to paintings, fun furniture and jewelry! Truly a treasure trove to just wander around lost in this world of creativity through the works of artists from all walks of life-actors, teachers, photographers, and doctors! You can easily spend hours in this amazing gallery! If you're looking for unique gifts, this place has many from which to choose! They have ornaments, scarves, earrings, rings, paintings, photographs, & some fun pieces of furniture!

Yelp
I was here s couple weeks back whole I was there for a mini solo vacation. The gallery door was open and artists were mingling inside and outside. There was someone right when you walk in to give you an overview of the space. Everyone was in masks and the hallway to the studios is one way to enhance social distancing. The artwork was beautiful and you could ask the artists questions which was really nice. They have classes and such, which if I lived here I would pick up a schedule. With the doors open and masks on, it's fairly COVID friendly.

Yelp
The Artist's Gallery is the main member of the Art center along with a large pottery to the rear of the gallery. The Artist's Gallery has over 40 contributing artists who cover the full spectrum of art, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, photography, sculpture, pottery, jewelry and more. Artists always on hand and enjoy speaking with visitors. Front gallery is large, but walk further in and thru the artists' studios. Nice bakery next door, sells pizza too.

Yelp
These con artists ripped my wife off. She bid on a painting, won the auction, and then they decided to take it and give it to their friend who bid online AFTER SHE HAD ALREADY PAID. She was not given a chance to increase her bid and the auction hadn't even ended. At least they refunded her money. Either way. CANNOT RECOMMEND.

Yelp
A gallery filled with so many friendly and talented artists, this gallery is a must-see. Pricing is amazing and there is everything from framed and unframed art to jewelry all created by local artists.

Yelp
The best gallery at the beach! Filled with eclectic art, jewelry, friendly artists in residence, and home to a fantastic pottery studio! Visit their new home in the ViBe District!

Yelp
Don't be confused by the address, it's actually down 9th Street near the Oceanfront and 9th changes name to Norfolk, Ave. Only a couple minutes walk from the oceanfront & ample parking is available across the street. A great gallery with over 40 artists and a full spectrum of artworks in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, etchings, photography, ceramics, glass and jewelry. Most of the artists have many years of experience and are friendly and helpful. Framed works as well as prints are available; and framing is offered. Affordable prices and they have art classes too. Great place for a rainy day at the beach! Ice House Restaurant, Taco place, Pizza place, a brewpub and coffeehouse are in the same building.

Yelp
This is a unique way to experience something "outside of the box"when visiting Virginia Beach. This is a working artist kind of place where you can watch the artist work on a piece and ask questions too. The prices are very reasonable and a saw some of their art up the street at a higher price than paying from the artist. We also attended their opening night reception featuring a theme for the art on display for that month. You can purchase some original notecard art, buy standard picture frames at Michaels or whatever, and knock off a few people on your gift list quite inexpensively, all in this one place.

Yelp
This place is cool, little rooms where the local artist's work and show off their works, then a large walled room with works of those not on site, they take turns working the sales area and all of them are great fun to talk to. The art work varies from local pictures and paintings, to standard works and drift wood art. There are many works featuring historic. Virginia Beach and. Norfolk. Even if your not looking for something new it's a nice place to kill some time and enjoy the works.
