The food, the community, and the education are all amazing. However, I think the best part is the campus’ beauty. It helps that it is its own campus, not mixed with downtown like some other schools. It helps make the campus student friendly, making it easy to get to classes on foot. The campus also has a lot of nature. Good amount of wildlife (squirrels, rabbits, birds, ducks, geese) and a lot of green trees and bushes. However, when spring comes, a lot of plants surprise you with flowers. This is when I believe the VT campus is the most beautiful.

Brian P. Pete's Used Cars has a solid inventory of vehicles. I found a great deal on a used truck that fit my needs. The negotiation was straightforward, and the staff was eager to answer all my questions. My only complaint was the wait time during paperwork, but overall a good experience.

Virginia Tech (Virginia Poly Tech University) is nestled in the mountains of Blacksburg in southern Virginia. The buildings are impressive and uniform as the stone to build was pulled from a local rock quarry intended only for Virginia Tech. The architecture is giving a sense of strength and intellect. Our tour guide (Laura or Lauren) was very informative, and you could feel her sense of pride for her school. Along the way, we heard “Go Hokies” from students that saw that we were touring. VT is on the list for potential colleges, and I believe it would make a great start for her adventure in science and technology if she chooses university. The town is small, but the sense of pride from the students is big.

There is a lot to say here. Very beautiful campus, kind teachers and thousands of learning opportunities. If you want to audit some courses you will be welcomed. Some of the very best schools ranking wise. The city itself is very small and the downtown area have few shops but the people of Blacksburg are amazing.

Beautiful campus. The architecture building is full of wonderful projects and brilliant students. Ask about the mobile house they built that is now in Dubai.

This is the most beautiful University I've ever seen! The buildings, parks, and trails are scenic and clean. Beside providing great academic experience, this school provides important social enhancement for career, and community civil development. There are many hiking, and biking trails that are beautiful and safe. During Autumn, the place is magical. It has one giant cafetaria that serves great buffet with fair price. I wish my University of Maryland at College Park could be just half as good.

A University in Blacksburg with a sprawling and breathtaking campus offering undergraduate and masters programmes in various disciplines ranging from the sciences to arts with renowned faculty . An international student community which is quite welcoming to aspiring freshman. There are plenty of dorms and student accommodation in the vicinity.Residing in the dorms have the advantage of proximity while the other student accommodations are a tad away but catered to by BT ,Blacksburg transit buses.Plenty of restaurants in the area provide ample choice for dining and nightlife. Blacksburg is catered to by many hotels including Hyatt, Holiday Inn and Hilton which tends to gets very busy at move in days and graduation dates. The closest airport is Roanoke a regional airport 45 minute drive away which is connected to other airports in the vicinity. Students here have ample opportunity to pursue the academic interests , join the many clubs and activities to make their student life an enriching experience. They will certainly be proud to be Hokies !

We visited Virginia Tech while we were doing a bunch of campus tours while we were in the area. Virginia Tech was beautiful real like a football field. I like all the structure is the buildings environment. Everything was really an excellent experience.

Virginia Tech is a lovely campus to visit in the summer. My teenage sons (16 yrs., 14 yrs), wife, and I came on a Saturday morning for an 11:30am tour. First, you will park at the main entrance to Lane Stadium. After a 30 minute information session (which is well-organized), you'll be divided into smaller groups for a 60-minute walking tour to see the interior of a campus building and walk in the residential dormitory area. The campus tour is full of useful information and you'll get a chance to see the interior of a building (but you'll be walking more than 1 mile outside so comfortable walking shoes are a must). Our tour guide walked backwards for much of the tour (which seemed awkward at times). By the end of the tour, you get a sense of how large the campus is (more than 30,000 students) and the Hokie spirit (which values service toward others). Overall, I would recommend the campus tour if you are considering to apply here. The pretty rural location and physical buildings on campus are worth seeing before you commit to applying. One thing that surprised me is that high school students are strongly encouraged to declare their major and college before arriving. Also, the "Hokie spirit" is pervasive on campus, which may be fun for some. The branding logo of Virginia Tech is impressive and appears everywhere from road signs to clothing. I am sure that you will reach your 10,000 step walking goal for the day if you do the tour.

Pretty poor. They try to seem inclusive, but they're not. When you discuss a topic hated, you can see the face gloss over with a plastic smile while it hopes you'll leave. I feel uncomfortable there. You could be demeaned in a hick town for thousands less.

Beautiful campus! Can see mountains in the distance too. Lots of great residents and things to do as well

The absurdity of the parking and fees involved with it are staggering. It is like being shaken down to come onto the campus to do anything.
