The beds were comfortable. The shower had good pressure. We had a room for 3 people and suited us well. Very central location. If u could give a few criticisms there wasnt a shelf in the shower which I found a little difficult to when washing my hair and in general too. Also very steep stairs. My dad being 80 and me being 5 month's pregnant I found very challenging day in and day out often breathless when reaching our room. We were put on the top floor maybe this could have been rectified had we'd known and told them in advance. They may have considered putting us on the lower floor. Overall it was a good price, in central location with good sleep quality.

Room was a great size for a family of four. Although parking anywhere near the city center in Kenmare is a challenge, we ended up finding spots near the B&B each time. The B&B is right in the middle of the town, but we were not bothered by noise at all. Room was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was a great size too. Hosts was lovely and so friendly- we would definitely return!

Ok, pretty low-budget place, simple accommodations. No coffee in the room or anything. There was a lounge area on the second floor that was nice. There were some basic maintenance issues that needed to be taken care of — shower not draining, light out in the bathroom, etc. It was clean enough, though, and the price was right. Restaurant (Mick & Jimmy’s) on the ground floor, in the same building, was great — didn’t have to go outside to get a coffee or a meal, and the food & service were very good.

Large comfortable and clean room, right downtown. I would give 5 stars, but the wireless internet was terrible. Even sitting on the first floor landing near the router, the speeds were very slow and it cut out a lot; in the room it was effectively useless. While traveling without a mobile data plan this was a major inconvenience. Aside from that issue, however, it was a good value. Tip: if you are looking for hiking, the Gleninchaquin Park nearby is AMAZING!

Went there many years ago with my family when they were visiting from Italy and the experience was very positive because of the courtesy of the owners. The place was nice and tidy too. I returned hoping to find the same qualities but I'm afraid the place has gone downhill and in bad need of refurbishment: it's gone tatty and dreary. Not worth the price they charge. There are far better places in the Kenmare.

Lovely little place to stay while touring the southwest coast. Clean and well run. Thanks for the recommendation of the fish and chips on Main Street. Outstanding Chipper. Looking forward to returning one day.

Nothing earthshaking. Pretty basic accommodation, but the staff are friendly, it's right in the thick of things, and there's a good restaurant downstairs where you can head for breakfast. You'll have to cross your fingers and pray for parking space anywhere in Kenmare.

Virginia's Guesthouse is located in the one-way section of Shelbourne Street - downtown - a great location for dining, pubbing, or shopping. The rooms are somewhat simple, but clean and comfortable. Just right for me.

Yelp
For some reason we were sandwiched between 2 young couples coming in and out all night. The lower outside door slams all night. First night my whole family were woken and slept like 2 hours the whole night. When brought to the owners attention her offered a slight apology yet still charged us full price for the secend night with even the mention of some sort of discount. We were going to go elsewhere but already paid and said a partial refund was not possible. Good for kids but not anyone trying to get some sleep after driving 4 hours...

Yelp
Disappointed. Neil was friendly and helpful on arrival- so 2 stars. He took our money for two nights right away. The price is too high for what we got. There are much nicer places in Ireland for comparable prices. The building is very old and not kept up well. Our room was small, clean and a good location in town. The little diner next to it serves great food:)
