Virgo Hotel & Spa

Don't get me wrong... it is an ok hotel,but far from a 5 stars.|As I have read in another review,in the land of blind the one-eye man is king. Las Leñas is a very small ski resort with no many options,so I guess this hotel is the best one there. But for sure it has seen better times, it needs maintenance big time.|The rooms are small but ok for an ski resort but everything looks like it is falling apart. Useless tv (ours didn't work at all) empty mini bar,broken towel holders,falling and dirty curtains....|You can hear everything from other rooms and from the aisles.|I guess the place is family oriented, lots of kids everywhere,so if you are looking for a quite ski escape..... go somewhere else.|They have lots of activities for kids (that is a good point for a family trip.|The way the staff treats you is no where close to the way you are treated in a five stars hotel, they are cocky and not very helpful.( not all of them obviously... ) the check in was a mess and and they had an attitude.|Breakfast and dinners are included. The breakfast is good, buffet kind of a thing. Dinners are divided in two shifts, if you are traveling with kids you get priority for the first one (19:45) we chose the second one hoping that it would be quieter..... it wasn't and our table was never ready on time (21:30)|When I asked for an explanation... I got a useless and I would say kind of a rude one.|The location is awesome,as it is really close to the ski lifts.|The best part of the hotel are the ski lockers. Very conveniently located and the guys working there are AWESOME. Always ready to help and with and smile and some tips ready for you.|In general I would say it is an ok hotel,nothing special and for sure not a five stars place.

I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely come back here next year. ||Visited Las Leñas for the first time this July and stayed for a week at the Virgo with my wife and two kids. We chose the two adjoining double room option. The rooms are not big nor luxurious, but have a comfortable bed, nice TV with good cable, and a safe. ||The restaurant is just excellent, we ate dinner every night and were very happy with the quality and especially the service. This is a five star restaurant.||The buffet breakfast is also very good with a wide variety of dishes for all tastes... Eggs, fruit, cereals, yogurt, and a wide variety of pastries including wondeful medialunas of course :)||The spa area is wonderful and free (some services like massages are extra I believe). There's a heated pool, half indoors and half outdoors with a great view of the mountains, two outdoor jacuzzis, a huge indoor jacuzzi as well as two saunas. ||The gym has several running machines, but no weights or weight machines. ||The lifts are around 150 meters/yards from the hotel. You have to walk to the lifts, but can easily ski from the lifts to the hotel.||The hotel has a free ski storage room which is also very well serviced.||All in all we loved the Virgo!

The hotel is right next to the chairlift. It couldn't be any closer. You can walk to anything in the village, and if you don't want to walk, the hotel will give you a ride. The service was excellent, the hotel staff, and anyone else we met were super nice to us. The guys in the ski storage area were so helpful, they would come around and help you put on or take off your boots. Never had that before.||The hotel is supposedly the most upscale in las lenas. We had the corner view suite. The room was nice, clean, pretty basic. There were tons of big and small children there, it’s a very kid friendly place. Saturdays, when many people are coming and going, and people need to check out of their room hours before the buses arrive, the lobby and spa were crazy busy with crying kids.||The internet was terrible. I used my cell phone as a hotspot. ||The hotel, like many in Argentina, isn't 100% polished. it could use maintenance here and there. The service was great though. Breakfast and dinner are served, or you can go out to some restaurants close by. The food at the hotel was just OK to great, depending on the night. ||All in all, we had a great time there, and would return.|

After staying four days at the Virgo hotel, I just wanted to share my experience there.||We arrived from San Rafael (a 3 hour trip) a little tired but to our surprise the check in was a breeze. The desk staff was efficient, and we were sent to our rooms in no time. We even found our ski rentals at the lobby waiting for us, which was great.||The rooms are a bit small, and so are the windowless bathrooms. The decor is pretty basic but nevertheless by no means depressing. My room was facing the slopes on the second floor, so the view was fantastic.||The common areas are modern looking, nothing luxurious but pleasant. The pool was nice, and the outdoor jacuzzis were a nice touch. ||The restaurant was also nice looking, at leats compared to the other gastronomic choices in Las Leñas (which are HORRIBLE...in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, right?)||Food was good, dinners were included in the rate so we did not need to go out. Breakfast was a buffet style, lots and lots of flour based options (cakes, bread, croissants, etc) so typical of Argentina.||Anyhow, as other reviewers have stated, the hotel is close to the lifts so it is very convenient.||Staff was helpful and we had a very good experience, and we were sure after visiting the others hotel in Las Leñas (TERRIBLE 80's MONSTROSITIES) that we were staying in the only decent choice.

This is my 2nd year staying at the Virgo Hotel and Spa and irbid hands down the best hotel on every facet in Las Leñas! From the minute I arrived the bellman welcomed me along with the front desk staff! This staff on every level is 5Star all the way! I arrived late and needed dental floss and they went and got me some from the pharmacy, then I needed and adapter...they got me one...everything I needed they delivered upon! I have to also give a huge shout out to Alejandra who in my opinion is the greatest massage therapist on the planet! Also Guillermo Baker, the night auditor also exceeded all expectations, I had a 5:30am departure and he made me a double espressos for when i came down to check out! |If you are fortunate enough to go and ski Las Leñas please stay the the Virgo! Best, Food, Best Beverage, Best Staff, Best Customer Service and BEST Hotel! Also make sure to tune into Winter Channel on 10!!!!!! Very nice hotel, modern and good taste contemporary decor. Very comfortable for people who really love to ski from morning until it's dark, because it is situated just at the ski lifts, so you can ski from hotel doors. Gourmet kitchen and lots of amenities for families with kids. Fab place.

The ski staff is awesome! Always helped my family with their concerns and equipment.

The Virgo in Lenas hotel is excellent, both for groups and with young children and not so much as to go as a couple or alone. Excellent prices and service relationship. A different place in a ski resort 5 stars, but in summer, many places and trips impossible to do in winter, great staff! SUPER RECOMMENDED.
