Visited Virona Restaurant and Grills at Zayed Port with a friend and ordered a seafood platter meant for two to three people, which was more than enough for us. The platter included prawns and a selection of fish including Sultan Ibrahim and another white fish which escapes me, but thankfully not the flavour.
The fish was cooked very nicely, well seasoned and fresh, served with rice and Arabic bread which completed the meal perfectly. Everything tasted spot on and felt properly thought through rather than thrown on a plate.
Prices were very decent and felt mid range to affordable, especially compared to Dubai. Not dirt cheap, but very fair for the quality and portion size. Considering we are not exactly dining like millionaires, this was a welcome relief.
Overall a solid seven to eight out of ten. Good food, good value and a place I would happily return to with friends and family.
