We discovered Viroth’s as a Mr. & Mrs. Smith property, and it fully lives up to that distinction for our Angkor Vat experience. Viroth’s Hotel and Viroth’s Villa are adjacent to each other, enhancing the quiet, private feel of the experience.
Viroth’s Hotel sets an example in understated right touch of comfort and thoughtful design, seamlessly blending mid-century modern elegance with deep respect for Cambodian culture. From the moment you enter, the hotel feels like a serene private residence rather than a commercial property—lush greenery, clean architectural lines, and a calm, intentional aesthetic that instantly slows your pace.
The rooms are spacious, immaculately designed, and filled with natural light, with every detail—from locally inspired furnishings to perfectly curated amenities—reflecting taste, restraint, and authenticity. It is rare to find a hotel that is both architecturally distinctive and emotionally grounding, but Viroth’s achieves this effortlessly.
What truly elevates Viroth’s Hotel, however, is its exceptional service and soulful hospitality. The staff (Mr. Bross and Ms. Saiyon as guest supervisors caught our attention) anticipate needs with quiet precision, offering warmth that feels genuine rather than rehearsed, and they were especially accommodating with our late-night arrivals and odd-time departures.
Their central pool is a tranquil oasis after temple explorations. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, featuring a beautifully curated buffet along with excellent à la carte options
What truly sets this property apart was the spa—my husband and I you 90 minutes four-hand massages that was unlike anything we have encountered before, across multiple countries and continents, both deeply restorative and remarkably refined.
Thoughtful, elegant, and deeply memorable, Viroth’s hotel sets a benchmark for boutique hospitality in Southeast Asia.
As Hyatt Globalist guests, we will highly recommend this small boutique hotel for your Angkor Vat and Siem Reap experience.
