Amazing island - at first I didn’t know it was that full of things to see. A rented car or scooter is recommended if you want to explore beyond the Port area. There are nice restaurants and bars. A little bit expensive when compared to other Croatian places.

Very beautiful island, still with not to much of tourist. There are some interesting places to visit. Organization of day tours to visit interesting places could be better but you can also make your private tours by renting car or boat.

Stunning island, it was well worth the trip. We hired scooters and drove around stopping to swim and try the local cuisine. One of the highlights of the trip!

• Founded by the Greeks in the 4th century BC as Issa, Vis is one of the oldest towns in Croatia. • Located in a natural, sheltered bay, the town has retained much of its Mediterranean charm. • It was closed to foreign visitors until 1989 due to its role as a military base in Yugoslavia, so it has remained relatively untouched by mass tourism.

Very nice and not too crowded. Crystal clear water, small towns, lots of hidden beaches accessible by boat with practically no people. Great snorkeling and scuba diving. You can easily spend two weeks here exploring the island.

An island on the Adriatic Sea, part of Croatia on the Dalmatian Coast. I came here as part of a full day boat tour. It was one of our stops. It’s less opulent than Hvar and quieter than Split. Yet surrounded by the Adriatic’s clear turquoise blue waters rich with sea life. We didn’t get to explore the island beyond an hour though I was fairly impressed with how clean and orderly the town felt. If you’re looking for a super chill island vibe with the amenities of good restaurants and friendly people this island is for you.
