Really homey atmosphere, really like this place. They have table tennis to play at backyard so funny with friends. Recommended to keep away from city life to recharge your battery , change from looking on blue screen to garden , tree, meal and your friends 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

Lovely village to spend a night or two in, reminiscing about rural life. The guesthouse itself is in a good location and tastefully designed. Compared to other guesthouses in the village it feels a level up. Breakfast and dinner are simple, honest affairs with locally sourced ingredients. Service is attentive and the staff is well trained. The room we stayed in was good, though on the dim side and with poor ventilation. Any shower would quickly overwhelm the tiny bathroom window. I didn’t appreciate the lack of window netting on all the windows, as it meant a choice between excessive humidity or mosquitoes and other insects finding their way inside. There was no WiFi signal in the room at all. Finally, when checking out I was presented with a bill for three glasses of wine - that I didn’t drink. I didn’t contest this as I was in a hurry to my next destination but think this mistake reflects poorly on the administration.

We have booked through their own website which is a significantly cheaper option than via third party intermediaries. The accommodation is tastefully furnished with high level amenities. Also, parking is available on the premises. However, in the booking confirmation there is a peculiar prohibition of consuming food brought from the outside on the premises. Which naturally forced us to have dinner there. The dinner is however overpriced at 29 euros per person, as the ingredients are a simple affair. In addition, it is not clear what is included in the dinner and what not - the lady just said "full menu, Schnaps included", but we found out at checkout that glasses of wine aren't. Anyway, Viscri is beautiful, so we are satisfied.

The place is as original as it may be in a rural setting with traditional food and beautiful garden. The service is warm and friendly without exaggerating. Food and drinks are locally preparation.

What a lovely place to stay! We had room 6, (I think) up a private staircase covered in roses. It’s a beautiful room, spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The garden is huge, leading out onto the hillside beyond for walks. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. A lovely relaxing place to stay in a very interesting, picturesque village.

Viscri is an absolutely stunning village in Transylvania, with gorgeous old houses that scream living history. The whole of Viscri 125 is beautifully presented with traditional furniture and modern bathrooms that fit the traditional rustic architecture and interior design of the rooms. The modern dining facility on site also fits beautifully with the rest of the compound, and leads into a gorgeous orchard and play area for children. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the traditional meals they serve are to die for! We would definitely love to come again.

Enchanting guesthouse with very thoughtful interior. You get a true countryside experience without missing any comfort. Food was amazing and staff is extremely friendly. The whole village is absolutely worth for a stop and visit.

This is quite an exceptional place to stay. There are a number of accommodation units around the courtyard and an attractive communal dining-area. Dinner is three courses and comes with a seemingly limitless amount of plum schnapps. The proprietress was very friendly. We had booked a double room but appear to have been 'upgraded' to stay in 'the house' (sleeps 4) by the entrance door and it was absolutely charming and cosy: very characterful but with a very modern bathroom. Opening the window onto the 'street' in the morning at sunrise and seeing the cows and goats coming out to graze on the verges was magical. In October the village is very quiet and the overnight stay was unforgettable. There is secure parking within the courtyard. |We would happily return. Go while Viscri is unspoilt by tourism!
