What a lovely gem in Lüneburg. I was looking for a place to have a quick dinner- on my own. I found it and the dinner turned into a much longer than anticipated joyous experience- not usually what you have when dining on your own. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is really friendly. The menu is not over the top fancy- excellent honest food with locally sourced seasonal ingredients and some lovely little twists such as marinated grapes and roasted cumin with the burrata. It’s also relatively good value for money. As a South African, I found the subtle culinary influences like biltong and Cape Malay curry really interesting- although I did not try these dishes- but there are lovely vegetarian options as well. Apparently the owner has close connections to Southern Africa, which you also see in the decor. I really liked it. I’m sure you will as well.

Food was delicious although loose the big candles in the middle of the table instead add slightly more light. You are not able look at the person you are talking to and the wax is getting on the table from where your personal belongings will get dirty.

Beatiful restaurant with great food. The interior is red brick decorated with objects that give safari / hunter's lodge wibe but done in a cool modern way. The kitchen on the ground floor is open to all to see. R&B music on the speakers, disco ball in the toilets - really great combination of old and new. The dishes were kind of the same - fresh, simple, well known but served/ prepared differently. The catch of the day was melting in the mouth, deer (that our waitress said, was shot by the shef, which could have been a joke, but also very likely 😁) soft (though in my husband's opinion cooked a bit too long), chesnut ice cream/chocolate mouse dessert - great finish to a great meal. Highly recommend!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. As I stopped eating meat, it got really hard to keep up with the menu. BUT if you are eating meat, this is a great place to try some of the specialties. The staff is really nice and professional and the place has an industrial yet rustic atmosphere. They also host private events in a separate room. The prices are on the upper side but it is only expected for this quality. Last but not least, the gin selection is very good.

Service was very very slow. Drinks after 25 minutes.. Food was not bad but the "rosa duck" was baked dead brown and the burger had no chips as they were out and the sauce could be a lot better. Definitely overpriced Anyway... Service service service people!

Wow, one of the best restaurants I've ever been. The food was of the chain! Every dish they brought to the table beat the last one. The service was also perfect, friendly and very professional. With no doubt we are going to repeat the experience. 11 out of 10.

My partner and I had an incredible meal here on Sunday afternoon. Phillip, the owner, took the time to introduce himself to us, and took us through their menu. My steak was cooked perfectly and the beer Phillip recommended was on point. At the conclusion of the meal, Phillip - a local to boot - gave us a detailed map for a walking tour of Lüneberg. Can't wait to visit again. In short - quality and standards usually reserved for the city, except found in a beautiful old building in an equally beautiful town.
