Visit Inari, Hotel Inari

+ Good location. Very close to supermarket. Walking distance to museum and cultural center. No need for a car. Practical. Lake is beautiful. Breakfast good. Lakeview rooms are nice. - Towel exchange costs extra money. Room is not cleaned if you stay less than 6 days which I found cumbersome. My biggest pain point was that the sauna in the room was really not getting warm I mean hot so for me it was not useable. They have a hot 85+ degree Sauna in the main building so it was not a big deal but if you take the more expensive rooms don’t take it for the private sauna. The view is really nice though. Summary: overall great. Also the tours you can book with the hotel and they are high quality. I did the husky sledge tour and it was super fun and well managed

The hotel is located in a very beautiful area, right by Lake Inari, which offers plenty of opportunities. In winter, you can walk on the frozen lake, admire the northern lights, or go on a snowmobile trip. In summer, you can take a canoe trip.|The food was very good, and the reception staff were very kind.|Late check-in is also possible, which is especially convenient if you are traveling through Finland and don’t want to rush.

Ammanuel was a wonderful and informative bartender on the regional history, the sauna was exactly what we needed to warm up, and the front desk clerk who helped us (I’m sorry I forgot her name, she worked Sunday evening, Dec 7th) was so kind and went above and beyond to help find a spot for us and make us feel welcome. The drinks were wonderful, too, and the breakfast had PLENTY of options.

I have been to the restaurant several times whilst passing through Inari and sadly it is getting worse and worse. |There were 4 other guests at the restaurant yet it took approximately 20 minutes to just get some water. The server was very friendly and tried his best but the food was terrible. |My local friends always tell me that it is obvious when it’s good or cheap reindeer meat. I had never experienced the latter until tonight. |Instead of sautéed reindeer it was more like mince. Tiny little shredded pieces which were incredibly salty. (See photo and check fork so you can see the size of the ‘pieces’).||I ate half of the meal, paid and just left.||So, so disappointed

It’s a wonderful way to explore Lake Inari and see the historical and important places for the Sami people.

We booked a package including a variety of activities including husky sled ride, northern lights hunting by car and reindeer, snow mobile, ice fishing, snow shoe night hike and cross country ski lessons. |All staff both at the hotel and on the trips were friendly, knowledgeable and seemed genuinely committed to making sure we had a good time. |Our large room had a magnificent view of the frozen lake from its glass balcony. |The bed was large and comfortable, shower excellent and the in-room sauna worked well and was quick to heat. |We had half board and were satisfied with the variety available for both breakfast and dinner. |We were so lucky to have fantastic sightings of the northern lights/aurora which, together with the service at the hotel, ensured a memorable 5 night adventure.

Decent breakfast for only 10eur if you’re staying in this hotel or their cabins nearby. The Filipino gentleman was very kind.

Good rooms, location, breakfast. Would recommend if I were staying in the area again. Stayed for 1 week.
