EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. This “Mystery Box” is essentially a way to sell electronic trash. Around 90% OF THE CONTENTS were BROKEN, NON-FUNCTIONAL, or completely UNUSABLE. SPECIFIC FACTS: • 7 MONITORS — ALL 7 WITH BROKEN OR CRACKED SCREENS • 2 ROBOT VACUUMS — one with a CRITICAL PART RIPPED OUT, the other DOES NOT POWER ON • 7 HOVERBOARDS — only 2 ARE EVEN FUNCTIONAL, and both are HEAVILY SCRATCHED AND DAMAGED • 10–12 DRONES — only ABOUT 4 IN ACCEPTABLE CONDITION, the rest are BROKEN • AIR FRYER — COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONAL • The remaining items are LOW-VALUE JUNK: lamps, air fresheners, air purifiers, and similar items with LITTLE TO NO RESALE VALUE Many boxes were labeled “TESTED”, but this label is MISLEADING. MONITORS AND TVs WITH PHYSICALLY BROKEN SCREENS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED “TESTED”. Several devices DO NOT EVEN TURN ON. The “TESTED” label appears to be JUST A STICKER, NOT A REAL QUALITY CHECK. The box was advertised with an estimated value of $2,000, while the REALISTIC RESALE VALUE IS $100–200 AT BEST, if anything can be sold at all. That is a 10–20x OVERSTATEMENT. Buyers are forced to accept “AS-IS” TERMS WITHOUT ANY OPPORTUNITY TO INSPECT ITEMS BEFORE PAYMENT, based on a stated value that DOES NOT MATCH REALITY. Instead of properly recycling unusable electronic waste, this company SELLS IT TO CUSTOMERS UNDER THE “MYSTERY BOX” LABEL. MISLEADING. UNETHICAL. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. I STRONGLY ADVISE OTHERS TO STAY AWAY. I’ll be very direct. This “Technology Mystery Box” is junk and feels like a money grab, not a fair or transparent product. Yes, it was marked as Damaged. But what I received is not “mixed-condition inventory” — it’s mostly non-functional trash: • items that don’t power on at all, • broken electronics, • missing parts, • devices that are clearly unusable even for basic refurbishment. Labeling items as “Tested” while they are effectively dead or incomplete is misleading. Powering something on for a second does not equal usable, repairable, or resale-worthy. The $2,000 MSRP reference only makes this worse. In reality, the resale value of what I received is nowhere near reasonable. For buyers without a full repair operation, this box is a guaranteed loss. This is not a “risk I underestimated” — this is a product structured so that most buyers lose money, while the listing language creates unrealistic expectations. I’m sharing this feedback because this format damages trust. At the very least, these boxes should be marketed clearly as parts-only / e-waste level inventory, not as technology suitable for resale or refurbishment. This experience was disappointing, and I won’t be purchasing similar lots again.

New Full Set - NOT (LIED) Very disappointed... The description TOTALLY misrepresented....there is NOTHING new about this item...bag was open, yarn used, instructions had something disgusting on it. I take it back to return...based on the Return Policy...that was fine. I think my biggest issue is the store clerk...I felt like she was insulting my intelligence...maybe I should say Vista Auction is trying to insult our intelligence, as if we don't know the difference between damaged in transit, vs BEING USED 1. I wanted what I was told I was bidding on...clearly that means nothing to them. 2. I am showing pictures of how this item was given to me, and I asked if I can get what I was bidding on based on the description...I bidded on a New, Full Set...and clearly it was a bait and switch(this may be an issue for the Attorney General to look into) Don't lie and then try to hide behind a buyers policy that speaks to an item being listed as NEW but may get damaged during shipping, etc... That CLEARLY was not the case...it was USED by the previous owner. 3. I asked about getting what I bidded on, and was told that they may not have it...I showed the clerk that they did have it...then she came up with something else..."we are a bidding store, so we can give you a credit, and you can bid on the item again...🤬 NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL YOU LIED in your description, and you should make it right by giving the customer what they were bidding on/buying/getting. IT WAS CLEARLY YOUR ERROR(maybe), AND YOU SHOULD MAKE IT RIGHT(absolutely)... I'm not the only one that has issues/concerns with your misrepresentation. FYI buyers/bidders (potentials) READ the reviews that are 1 and 2 stars...those are 99% the most honest!!! Stray away from the 4's & 5's. I felt disregarded as a customer... It wasn't about making it right...it was about "policy"...yeah ok. Just VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS (I am a REPEAT CUSTOMER)

Great place. The parking lot is always packed and not my favorite place to get in and out of because people are crazy and can't drive. I prefer to park further and walk but with so many employees cars parked towards big air, there isn't a good place. Pickup has been streamlined...scan, go to zone and wait for your pickup. The computerized announcer has help because it can be difficult to understand with heavy accents. Returns/exchanges are easy if item not as stated.

I’ve been shopping here for a little over a year. I’ve received several broken items, was able to return with no issue. I recently made the mistake of buying apple product from here thinking it would be the same process, was I WRONG!!!! DO NOT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS FROM HERE! They have a “retesting” process that isn’t listed on their site. They “test” your product to make sure it works. I had an Apple Pencil that connected to my iPad just fine but when I was drawing my art would literally just shut down mid-drawing. I took it back and they retested it, emailed me saying it did indeed work after I had already discovered it was defective. Went back to pick it up, worked fine in the parking lot so I trusted them for whatever reason. Get it home, same issue. Keeps disconnecting . I bring it back and they tell me they have to retest it AGAIN. I’m sick of waiting and getting the runaround. I don’t live on this side of town & this is the third trip over here for this one pencil I tried to buy for “cheap”. I should have just bought a new one!! So they’re testing it again and I guess in a couple days they will tell me if the item passed their test again, regardless of it being defective. It connects & works just fine for a couple minutes but when I try to use it it literally stops communicating with my iPad. The person I spoke with told me that I can email customer service & tell them im not interested if it passes another test so I can get my money back but this is honestly ridiculous. I’ve never had this much drama over returning broken/defective product. Save yourself the headache and buy your used Apple products from Best Buy or Apple themselves.

Absolutely incredible service here. First off, the deals are insane (induction stove for $16 for e.g). Unfortunately, I did have one item that didn’t work but my mom said they take returns which was a surprise. Also, I recently had a family emergency and they kindly pushed back my pickup date twice. They were incredibly responsive and understanding about this, which easily won my loyalty. I love how they’re super efficient and FAST when you arrive to do a pickup. In less than 10 mins they had a full cart hover boarded over to me. You don’t see this kind of efficiency in NC… I am so excited to continue ordering from here for my home remodel. I bought so many things from light fixtures to a stove overhead fan and range. I also recently scored a Breville espresso machine for less than 50% of MSRP!! I almost bought one direct, and ended up purchasing the upgraded version from Vista Auction for much less. I live in NY but have a rental property in NC, so this has been a game changer for big-ticket items I would have paid a LOT of money for collectively. I recommend this place. Excellent deals, excellent prices, and great staff. We have found many bargains . The business model is interesting. It's a lot like eBay biding against other people. You can watch items or bid. You you can bid lady minute while an item is closing, but it adds like 20 seconds to closing time. And many products reappear. While some products are listed or slightly used, I recommend inspect and test what you bought immediately. They will allow returns of there is good reason or if listing is incorrect. I only had to return a couple things. In that case I just get store credit

I'll admit, Vista Auction had me hooked for awhile. I enjoyed the selection, ease of use, their appointment system, and easy pickup. What I didn't enjoy was getting mislabeled items that were broken or missing parts when they weren't listed as such. They do have a return policy for mislabeled items. I was able to return the items with no issues, which was a relief. Needless to say, this cured me of my addiction. Although I am fairly happy with my other items, I would rather pay a little bit more to buy from a place with new items with warranties. Check them out for yourself, it was definitely fun in the beginning.

Buyer beware! Many items marked "New" are not new - either used , damaged or pcs are missing. Yes, the actual items that were New and in great shape was awesome deals however, the headache of having to deal with items - turned out not to be worth it. If item needs to be put together.... put it together because, some items bought that showed all pcs were there - ended up not being able to be assembled due to situations like this.... poles didn't actual fit together,lights on trees didn't work, remotes didn't work, etc. They had a 30 day return policy when I bought from them which is a positive however, don't do what I did when I bought items from them- going nuts bidding on individual items therefore ending up with orders of 100+ pcs at a time therefore unable to check every item within allowed return policy. I was a newbie when buying store returns from Vista so I believed them when stated New therefore didn't worry about checking items stated New- big mistake on my part!! Now have tons of items I planned to re-sell that are total trash! So if your new to buying from Vista I'd say....there can be some great deals just keep in mind to not get caught up in over buying like I did, open every single box to check for all parts being there, make sure all pcs fit together so item does what it's suppose to do, don't assume item is new when Vista states it is new, LOOK at all pictures posted before buying and most importantly- do this before 30 days. Important to take screenshots of all pics of everything you buy so you will have this info. I didn't realize until too late with many items - Vista deletes pictures of items you purchased so if your wanting to keep track of your purchases & want to have pics of them - take the time to screenshot all info on items.

I have to give Vista Auction 4/5 stars. As a female, I often find a package too heavy to lift alone. Fortunately, when I asked a gentleman for help, they did not refuse. I saw another gentleman helping a woman. He loaded all of her items, and she had a cart full. I am so grateful for kind men who will help a needy lady, some without asking. I must be more strategic when picking up items and ensure I have someone with me so we can struggle together! Otherwise, Vista Auction is the way to go for those things you need, when you need them. It's easy to go way out, so be warned when reviewing items available for auction. Know that when you bid on an item, you cannot cancel it, so be sure you want it. You can put it on your Watch list and think about it before committing.

These are great prices. It's an amazing operation with lots of variety. The people working there have been pleasant and professional.

NO RETURNS - BUYER BEWARE I've purchased several items from Vista. While most were acceptable, an air mattress was listed as new but was obviously used and dirty. It had a large hole in it. When I requested a return or refund, Vista refused to accept it. Their product listings are often misleading and they do not take responsibility for misrepresented items. A BBB complaint has been filed.

Vista auctions is a great concept for consumers to purchase an item at a greatly reduced price. All items (to my understanding) are returns from Amazon. They do a good job at providing any details needed (i.e. missing parts). You would also see if the item was pre-inspected. If there is anything wrong beyond what is listed in the description you can return the item to the same location for store credit. Auctions overlap each other so you may be looking at more than 1 list. Look through the list to see if there is anything you are interested in. You can either bid on the item or watch it. As it gets closer you would receive either a text notification or email informing you if you have been outbid or the item is closing....bidding against another person or persons. I have purchased many items as Vista Auction in Charlotte. They are located just off the interstate 485 and I-85 (it's best to use your GPS). The address is 11011 Carpet Street (off West Blvd). Visit their website at vistaauctions.com or download their App. Complete the registration and sign-in process to gain access. There will be several auctions that typically begin at or around 5 PM. You can bid at any time. All items start at $1.00. Every item you win there is a $2.00 charge and a 15% of the item won. I don't buy anything that is outrageous so I do not "feel" the financial impact.

This is the best kept secret in Charlotte! Get new items for pennies on the dollar. There are tons of items from toys to food--anything you can think of. Pick up is a breeze but just make sure you get it in five days or they'll resell it.

I had a bid in for an item but was told I had been outbid. Then I get an invoice for that item plus 2 items that I did even bid on. I told them not to take my money. Everything we have purchased is missing parts or broken. It says light use and won't even turn on or the inside is rusted. They should not misrepresent the products and if it is broken then throw it out. We even have "new" products that are broken. I say pass on the deals as there aren't any deals just broken junk!!!!! They are nice and have a great system of pick up but are laughing as you carry out the packages knowing they are junk. Very dissatisfied and have purchased a many an item so this is not a one time experience. I am done with Vista!!!!

I have stopped buying anything from Vista due to the deceptions going on with their items. Things being sold as 'new' when the date code shows it was made a year and a half ago! I've returned items there because they didn't work and they were put back up for sale as working. Beware of this place!

I'm reading a number of complaints and in fairness to this company, this is an auction bidding site. They purchased in bulk, items returned, etc and they label items as new, lightly used, etc. I have to admit, they sometimes get it wrong due to the large volume of items they have to go through. However, I give them credit for their 30 days return policy for any items misrepresented, etc for refund to your original payment or credit (which i don't understand why). I had 2 items misrepresented and returned the items with no issue. The complaints I'm seeing here is due to folks who are not willing to read the fine print, the FAQ, or watch their videos. If you purchase from a place like this, expect some hit and misses. I do agree they do need to do a better job in labeling these items correctly which is why I gave them 3 stars.. but it has yet to stop me from bidding!

Be forewarned: check your items before leaving the premises. Descriptions of items are most always wrong and they will exclude damages in photos on items listed in good or new condition. You WILL receive items that are wrong. You will not receive all your items you paid for. It has happened to me on most of my visits. Vista doesn't give refunds after you leave the site. You can get good deals but you must be careful and vigilant.

This place is a scam! They have insiders who INTENTIONALLY boost up auction prices so you will always pay more than you should.

They don't check the boxes before they resell them. I bought 2 things that didn't work. One thing didn't work (and the site said it was new) and the other had the power cord missing. Wouldn't buy from them again.

I have bought a few items here. Read the information carefully. I bought an item marked new and it was broken. I got in touch with Vista who told me to bring it back for a credit. I was told that I have a week to do this. I took item back and got a store credit. Sign does say No Returns though.

Went to Vista auction to pick up some items that I purchased and it took me over an hour to get there in traffic. When I asked somebody if I could use their restroom which I have in the past I was told that I cannot use it. I asked to speak with the manager and the guy told me he was the manager and I still couldn't use it. Not to mention I'm a senior citizen and a paying customer as they have tables available for shopping now for customers. I wonder if it is legal for them not to have a public restrooms for shoppers

The Sardis Rd location.... Just Rude!!! If I could give a rating of below 0 I would. When I complained about the rudeness at customer service desk, they asked if the young lady spoke English (which she did). It wasnt a language barrier at all, she was rude when I asked about the status of a missing item. I do understand they're extremely busy, however theres NO reason for the rudeness, eye rolling, and simply walking away with no explanation.

I have received good customer service when I go to Vista Auction. The workers are happy to help whenever they can. I understand that sometimes this place can get extremely busy, so I pack some patience and understanding. I've gotten some great deals here.

I bought 9 items today. All listed as new. The mirror was broken, the cat tower was covered in black mold, the toddler dress was something totaling different( same color different size and style), the reflection mirror was missing all the parts except mirror. All items listed as new. The wait times are long and painful. Shop at your own risk.

The only th8ng about Vista Auction is that they post items as new, then offer you the option to return for a store credit. But you are then forced to buy another item that might be listed as new but turns out to be unacceptable therefore forcing you to get another store credit putting you in a purchase return cycle which could never end.

I've bought several things through them. You can find some steals on brand new or open box items. Check them out!

Good deals can still be found but buyer beware. A lot of the items they say are new are not. I got an item they listed as new that had a tag taped to it that said "Found on shelf. All items inside missing." This was on a note still taped to the item but it was sold as new. Also, the wait time to pick up your items is horrendous. They have limited pick up days and because of the high volume of stuff they sell, it leads to very long wait times on the pickup days. Overall a good place and some good bargains to be had but know what your getting into. No Refunds.
