"Swimming Paradise If you're looking for a break from Oaxaca 's cultural delights and would like some downtime, maybe to enjoy some swimming during your stay, the best place is in San Agustin Etla. It's about a 20-minute drive from the Oaxaca city center, but it's well worth making the excursion. This swimming place has five pools, with a couple that are good for kids and one that is heated, as well as a couple of water slides. The setting is beautiful with great views of the surrounding mountains. You can choose a table near the pool of your choice and order drinks and food from passing waiters. During Easter break and on weekends when the weather is hot, Vista Hermosa Balneario can get very crowded. For a quiet and relaxing time, head there during the week."

Waterslides weren’t open. This place is a scam. 400 for 2 people and you can’t even use the slides unless 40 people show up. NOT WORTH IT!

There's alot of swimming pools to go around and swim. One bad thing is that the water slides are not in function 😔 overall is a good place to spend some time with the family.

Dangerous! The paths are very slippery and the rails are very shabby. My wife slipped while holding a baby, the rail snapped and both fell to the ground, very lucky nothing serious happened, she’s bruised all over. They could put a sign there, safe rails aren’t difficult to do as well. Rather neglected place

It was very nice before the pandemic, we enjoyed indeed. So, we were happy to come back. There were some very unpleasant surprises waiting though. My mother-in-law was kicked out from the swimming pool being told "it is for kids" when she was looking after my child (7 years old), while a couple of drunk men were roaming freely there, without being told a single word - interesting, indeed. You need to chase them to turn on the slides - first they tell they'd do it, then again, then, they turn on the water but don't open the entrance, etc. Smoking is ok there - as long as one is drunk and drinking more, and they do not tell a word about guys smoking in the facilities - it seems that they are good with dealing with elderly people, not with young guys who break the rules. Food is of law quality (was much better earlier) and costs like gold. My kid still seems to enjoy them though but I would not recommend. There are plenty of other options.

The only tepid water is in the smaller 14x4x1 meter pool. All other pools are ice cold. Guess where the crowd hangs out. Pretty setting though with huge ancient trees. Food looks yummy and bathrooms and showers are very clean. I'll go back to the only thermal pool in the region. 4 stars

I can’t say enough good things about this waterpark. Every year we’ve come to Oaxaca we have visited and my children had a blast.

Yelp
Several times I've tried coming here with my family. When you drive around you can see a few water slides, apparently the biggest ones in Oaxaca. That catches our attention every time so we decided to visit it last week, we first drove by another pool but it was full & didn't look that nice, but this place was full. We did take a look, saw the pools & other areas like the soccer field, restaurant area & bathrooms. They charge $85 per adult and I think $70 or $75 for kids. You can't bring in food or drinks and they also have a parking lot available across the street.
