Went to this restaurant as it was considered one of the best and high end in Quito. However we were left not fully impressed but are cognizant it was likely due to timing.
We called the restaurant to see if we could dine there as we would be arriving 1-1.5 hour before close at 9:00 pm. They person on the phone said we could, however when we arrived we were quickly turned away. Fortunately we were able to explain we called and they eventually let us in. We ordered our food quickly, and it was certainly good. It came out quite fast, as it seemed even though their hours indicated they closed at 9:00, they were starting cleaning/closing activities by 8:00. What was disappointing was that the waiter had us pay for the bill while we were eating. I could draw the line at being relatively rushed and having the food come quicker than anticipated, but asking to settle during the meal was not the best experience.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was however, top notch. You had gorgeous views of the city and the entire skyline and it was quite the sight to behold while eating. I can absolutely see why people want to dine here when they visit Quito.
The restaurant in my eyes would easily be a 4/5 star if it wasn't for the unique experience we had. You could tell the service was good, and that they had well trained staff however the management and decision to start closing before posted hours was confusing to us. Given the rushed experience and mixed message, I'm leaving 3 stars for now but open to increasing in the future.
