First , one building is in front the lake , two others are not .|We stayed at one at the back which has been the smallest ever room we have been . Two people cannot even fit in the bathroom .|Then we moved to another room bigger with view but , the first one with Netflix , the second no Netflix .|The first one without bathroom extractor the second with an extractor that never stops .|We informed about it but never was solved .|The AC works depend... if the weather changes you need to wait until the best day when the maintenance adjust it .|The second room very noisy .|They have sound proof window but with gaps - check picture - and the double door from the terrace cannot close becoz they have placed a huge heavy pot in front. |Shower leaks .|First room bed with 1.60 width , impossible to sleep |Second 1.80 we could sleep :) |If u have a front lake view U will enjoy but if U have a light sleep you won't enjoy .|Choose ! View or sleep :)|By the way the smallest handbasin I have ver seen |Don't expect someone to help you with the luggage and rooms wzout phone.|So is more a Swatch than a Rolex :):)

This hotel specifies on its website that it allows pets, so we booked a room to stay 1 night through our travels with our dog. They cancelled our reservation because our dog is „too big“ and told us that they only allow *small* pets, even though this is not specified anywhere on the website. So be warned when booking this hotel with a pet — they never specify anywhere but will cancel your reservation if they think your pet is too big.

Amazing location just off the waterfront. Rooms were nice, our was a little dark, but kids one was much lighter. Parking is a 4 min walk away and is covered and looked secured. Breakfast was good and relaxed and there are quite a few places around to eat.

Vista 33, the lakefront hotel, is amazing. The rooms with the lake view are wonderful, very clean and comfortable. The view and the location make the hotel a real gem. They also offer parking, 5 minutes away from the hotel. Highly recommend!

The Olive Boutique Hotel was thankfully neither of those! Once I figured out the layout of the town, I realized how close the property is to the bus station (~5 mins or less of walking through the cobblestone streets). While check-in takes place at the Hotel Piazza on the waterfront (60 seconds away), where breakfast is also served (CHF 25 per person), it is no inconvenience whatsoever to make your way between both properties.||||As other reviewers have noted, the Olive Boutique Hotel does not have any views to speak of but is literally around the corner from a small alleyway that takes you to the heart of the Promenade along the waterfront. All of the upside (unless you REALLY want those Lake views!) with none of the downside of the crowds and the music which can go late into the night.||||Our room (#3) on the ground level was small but efficiently laid out...though our sole window did open onto another alleyway and, if you opened the curtains, folks walking through it were literally at eye level with you! The bathroom was TINY with no room for toiletry/make-up bags. Also, the minuscule stand-up shower only features a shampoo and body wash - NO CONDITIONER so bring your own! The water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired. As did the fact that they charged for the water bottles - and even tea! - in the room. We solved that by going to the local grocery store and buying packets of tea/coffee to make in the room.||||While we did not have our room serviced but merely put the garbage bins outside for removal, we did take note of housekeeping every morning, and our staff interaction was limited to the wonderfully friendly and entertaining restaurant staff who happily provided us with wine glasses and ice when requested throughout our stay.||||We'll likely stay here when we return next year for the great value and hidden nook aspect of it, though next time we will request a room that is larger and NOT ground level.

Stayed here for the recent Jazz Festival. It's a few step from the lake front and pretty quiet. We had two twin rooms, Room 8 is a little more spacious than room 9. Very comfortable, clean, lovely bathroom, TV. Much more reasonable than some of the other hotels and you can have breakfast in the main hotel. We would definitely go back again. No real view, as you look onto the backstreets, but that's lovely in itself.

Once more I spent a couple of days in the beautiful Casa delle Olive. We love it there: Rooms are modest, but spotlessly clean and the staff is very friendly. But above all, the Casa delle Olive is perfectly located: in the old part of the village, seconds away from the lake in a side street. It is absolutely quiet at night but yet you are only steps away from everything Ascona has to offer. Breakfast is served in the Hotel Piazza, from where you have a great view over the lake. Breakfast offers everything you need and here, too, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Certainly a place to always come back to!

We stayed 4 nights here, the room was pretty tiny and the bathroom was even smaller. There are no views from the rooms but the location is great. We were on the top floor which I would recommend - definitely don't book a bottom floor unit as the only window is right where everyone has to walk past. The hotel has a security gate and was very peaceful. Downside is that there was no wifi so we had to go around the front to the main restaurant where you can log in for free. The room was pretty hot too - no fans or air-conditioning. Over all a comfortable stay.
