Who needs beef: Meat-free dishes taking over the food scene - SilverKris

"A Bangkok restaurant that adapts northern Thai khao soi for vegans by using eggless noodles and an ayuba (tofu skin) “drumstick” in place of beef, offering a faithful, plant-based take on the curried noodle classic." - Hillary Eaton

More on my vegan travel blog: I Travel For Vegan Food 🌱 If you’re looking for an elevated, creative vegan meal in Bangkok, Vistro is absolutely the place to go. It’s located right near the Emporium and EmQuartier malls, so it’s the perfect dining spot after shopping in Sukhumvit. I love the food here. You have to order the 'Vagyu Sando', it’s a Japanese-style sandwich with a Beyond Meat katsu patty that was meaty, savory, and just made to perfection. I also loved the creamy wild truffle dumplings and their rich Khao Soi 2.0.

I had the pleasure of having lunch here on 9/1/25. As soon as I walked through the door the experience began, before even heading up the stairs. This place is furnished uniquely and the art compliments the aesthetic they are aiming for. The menu is nice blend of earthy & comfort food - plenty of juices, smoothies, salads and bowls alongside pizza & burgers. I had the Chili Bao Bao, Caesar Salad, and an Acai blend smoothie. All of it was delicious and presented wonderfully. The staff was kind and made me feel welcomed. I would highly recommend you add this establishment to your food tour or regular rotation of eateries.

Let me start by saying that the food and service here is absolutely great. The (fully vegan) menu is creative and delicious, as were the drinks. Unfortunately the atmosphere was spoilt by badly-behaved children (shouting, running around and throwing things). This is an expensive restaurant by Bangkok standards so a meal here is a treat rather than an everyday event (or a nice holiday meal that we were looking forward to in our case) so screaming children is always going to be an unwanted extra.

This place has the best food ive ever had, and remember... ITS VEGAN! if I could I would give 10 stars. I loved the entrance with the stairs to the seating area. The atmosphere was cool and I loved the plant growing from the long table. The decoration was also amazing. The food selection was actually really diverse, and I couldn't decide what to get because they all sounded good! The staff was super friendly and immediately asked if we had any allergies. Food was SUPER GOOD. And I'll definitely come back. (Sandy may just be the best waiter there is. Go Sandy!) this is a must try if you're in Bangkok.

Great variety of food, high quality food. I enjoyed the Vegan mopping , truffle dumpling and katsu curry. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the truffle pasta. Good location too. Only thing was the Restaraunt was super hot inside.

The ambience of the restaurant is good and the variety and taste of the food / drinks are great! Love the dan dan noodles, its flavourful and portion is just nice, it also came with a soup. The signature drink (Mental Space) has a unique and refreshing taste.

The ambience is really nice. There is a lot of stairs and I didn’t see an elevator. Also they really need a fan because the AC wasn’t really working or maybe it was turned off. There is free parking in the back. We used to eatigo and it was really annoying because there are some items that aren’t allowed and it isn’t marked so they should just get a separate menu or make a disallowed list. Desserts aren’t included. If you want crunchy noodles with your Khao Soi, please ask in advance, because mine were too soggy. Also, the cow soy is small, but yummy. The appetizer was a bit small, but it was really good, especially dipped in the curry sauce. The curry thing was very tasty and a good portion and if you don’t like the onions, maybe they can substitute it for something else. I would definitely return. I think this place is mostly Farangs
