Pizza Passport visit. We had 11 in our group on this stop on our Pizza Passport journey. The group had gone here last year but we weren't able to join. Glad we could make it this time.
We were there on Wednesday evening with our reservation for 6:30. Our waiter was Christian and he was absolutely fabulous! He took drink orders as we arrived and brought out water bottles with glasses and made sure there was plenty for the table.
Once we all arrived and got settled and had our drinks, Christian got appetizer orders in and brought bread for the table, again making sure there were bread baskets every couple of people. He brought out plates with olive oil and balsamic. I was skeptical of the bread, little round, crusty rolls but they proved me wrong. They were very good and the olive oil/balsamic was perfect.
Christian took our orders very efficiently, at the end I wasn't sure how he kept it all straight, but he did so without any error. I got a House Salad, husband ordered meatballs, and we got two pizzas: both hand tossed, a Tuto Carne - Italian Sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and ham. Also a Bacon Arugula and tomato with white balsamic.
The house salad with red wine vinaigrette was great, the dressing tart and delicious with green leaf lettuce, tomato, black olives, onions, and croutons.
My husband liked the meatballs, and I tried his pizza and it was good. I enjoyed my pizza; I love arugula and fresh tomato. The crust was great with a nice chew. The pizza was really hot, toppings were sliding off, it fared better the next day when reheated and was really good leftover.
Service was fantastic. Food was great. I would definitely come back for salad and bread. Maybe a pizza again or try a pasta
