VIU EMPORDÀ

When my son moved to Barcelona to live, we were looking for somewhere close to spend a couple of weeks where we could have a family vacation. Luckily we had read an article in the FT about Emporda, described as “the Cotswolds of Barcelona” which sounded like my idea of heaven. Viu Emporda was highly recommended as a company who specialise in quality properties to rent. We drove through France and arrived at Casa Daro in a small medieval village near the town of Bisbal. It was not a disappointment and totally lived up to expectations. Pablo the owner and Vincent could not have been more accommodating. The house was idyllic and felt like we were in the pages of AD magazine. Everything had been thought of to make our stay luxurious and restful. We didn’t need to go out but when we did there was so much to explore. We can’t wait to return - it’s a place you never want to leave.

We spent two wonderful weeks at Casa Terra and absolutely loved our time there. The house is spacious, bright, and exudes a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The views from the property are wide and beautiful, and the surrounding countryside adds to the sense of tranquility. At the same time, the charming village of Rupia is just a short walk away, making it the perfect location for both privacy and convenience. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and received excellent information about the local area, including beaches, restaurants, and things to do. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Casa Terra has a very homely feel — it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. It truly enhanced our holiday experience, and we would happily return!

Our family spent an amazing week in Empordà at Mas Roser. Everything was perfect: the house, the location and the service. Victor and his team provided exceptional service, making the entire stay seamless and enjoyable.

The Spanish farmhouse Mas Flor was everything I imagined it to be! Beautifully restored, respectfully furnished, lovingly attended. What a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience to be living in history! (With our favourite modern conveniences of course😉)

Casa Sabi was a dream come true! Great villa, outdoors and indoors styled like a magazine. Surroundings are very nice, little but beautiful town of Ullastret, but if you want, more touristic area is a 15 minute drive. We would want to live here and are definitely coming back!

We had the best vacation thanks to Viu Empordá. We stayed at Casa Sabi, 8 adults and 3 children. The house was amazing, beautiful, comfortable and super stylish. Pablo and Viu team was super helpful and really helped us to improve our vacation with tips and recommendations. The whole experience was just great. highly recommend !!! And we cannot wait for next time.

Magnificent experience with Viu! We chose Mas Antic as the setting for a treasured reunion of four couples, most visiting the Empordà for the first time. The house and location were ideal. The beautifully furnished home was very private and charming with many cozy nooks and a large space for yoga, stretching or dance. The kitchen was well-equipped and we prepared and enjoyed several meals there. We could bike right out the door onto gravel and back roads, exploring medieval village after medieval village. Rupia itself has much to offer with a fantastic craft brewery, Dos Kiwis, that also serves food; a cafe/bar; botiga de queviures with yummy baked goods; and a carniceria with wine, beer, local meats, cheeses and delicacies. But what really brought our week-long stay over the top was the attentiveness and service from Pablo. His passion for the area is palpable and infectious. From start to finish, communication was outstanding. We took him up on numerous suggestions for activities and restaurants including a boat excursion from Palamos followed by lunch up the coast at Toc al Mar, a seaside gourmand’s delight. Highly recommend and I hope we can return some day. Moltes gràcies to Pablo and the homeowner.

Excellent agency that takes care of every detail in an elegant and charming way. I would only rent with them in the Emporda and Cista Brava área. Casa Salada was a dream home and we enjoyed every minute of our family holidays
