Booked massages and oxygen facials for our anniversary and had the best experience. Nothing like a practice that delivers amazing results and shares in your special day. The bed was such a surprise before our treatments “Happy Anniversary” Thank you Viva!

I did the Custom Designer Facial with Rianna and it was amazing. She’s truly great at what she does. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and everyone was very kind. Parking is easy and they validate it. In my case, the validation didn’t go through correctly, but they immediately offered to request a refund, which I really appreciated. The place is nice and very relaxing. I’m definitely coming back!

Anita is truly exceptional at what she does. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She took the time to listen to my concerns and focused on the areas that needed the most attention. Her technique is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing — the perfect balance of firm pressure and smooth, calming movements. I left the session feeling refreshed, lighter, and with significantly less tension in my shoulders and back. Anita is professional, attentive, and genuinely cares about her clients’ well-being. I highly recommend booking with her if you’re looking for a high-quality massage experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I started coming to Viva Day Spa in September 2024 when I was struggling with the worst hormonal acne I’d had since high school. That’s when I began seeing Bri for facials, and since then she has played a pivotal role in my skin health transformation. Bri took the time to really listen and understand what my skin was telling me it needed. Over the past year, we’ve consistently worked together to find the right treatments, and she has also given me the tools and resources to continue the work at home. My skin looks healthier, I feel more confident, and I finally feel like I have a long term plan that actually works for me. What makes Bri so special is how much she cares about helping people and just how invested she is towards her clients’ progress. If you’re looking for someone who will not only treat your skin but also partner with you on your skincare journey, I can’t recommend her enough.

I needed a massage more than I’d like to admit, so I booked a last-minute session with Bryan at Viva Day Spa Lamar since my usual masseuse was fully booked. Bryan was phenomenal and clearly an expert in deep tissue massage. He was so good that I now alternate between him and my original go-to. So glad I found him! 10/10 would recommend.

I purchased a spa package gift certificate from Viva Day Spa in October 2025 as an anniversary gift for my spouse. When my spouse attempted to redeem it in February 2026, we were told the package had “changed” and now includes fewer services than what I originally paid for. When I spoke with them, they flatly refused to honor the services that were explicitly included in the package I purchased. Their position is essentially: “We changed our packages, so you get less than what you paid for.” This is unacceptable. When you purchase a gift certificate, you’re entering into an agreement for specific services at a specific value. A business cannot unilaterally reduce what they owe you. What makes this especially disappointing is that this was meant to be a special anniversary gift. Instead of a relaxing spa day, we’ve dealt with frustration and the realization that this business doesn’t stand behind what they sell. If you’re considering purchasing a package or gift certificate from Viva Day Spa, be warned: there’s no guarantee they’ll honor what you actually pay for. I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere to a spa that respects its commitments to customers.

I was a long time customer of this establishment. I would go once a month to get a facial at this place, unfortunately they were unappreciated of my business. I got a call from the manager of this spa saying that I was “inappropriate” with one of their masseuses (Mind you, I’m 1000% GAY). The manager says that her employee said that I reached out to grab her hand when I never touched her. This establishment has heating beds that were too hot, especially during summer so I was feeling hot in the bed and I told the masseuse to lower then temperature of the bed. She also said her employee was uncomfortable because I was in a hot bed so my pants were itchy, and the girl thought that I was “touching” myself. When I left, the masseuse acted like nothing happened and even recommended some overpriced products and I bought a sunscreen. 3 days later I got the call from the manager to never come back. I told her manager to tell her employee to stop watching so many Netflix documentaries because her life is not one of them. Eventually, I went back to return the sunscreen and get my money back. I never wanna come back to this homophobic spa who judges their own loyal customers rather than question their employees.

I was excited to try this place because it's a lot closer than my normal spa in Georgetown. I paid nearly double the cost of my regular spa and I felt like I got half of the service. It was an hour or so hydrafacial but half the time was spent massaging my arms and shoulders which is great but I rather the minutes be spent on my face since it's a facial. The location was not easy to get to with lots of traffic. At least parking was paid for up to 2 hours. I walked in and it was a basic ambiance. I was seated in a very small waiting area, no robes offered like my usual spa. It was basic with tea, water, and only white wine. No snacks. I felt like it's not a place to relax before or after, it's truly "get in and get out." As I left, I saw a much larger, prettier waiting room, so I'm not sure how they determine who waits where. All in all, for the price, I won't be going back. No negatives about the esthetician as she did a good job.

Treated ourselves to the delicious duet spa package for couples. The entire start to finish experience was pure royalty. We were given a choice of welcome tea and a few minutes to relax in cozy room prior to our appointment. It was my birthday and everyone was sweet enough to wish me :) Our providers were soft spoken and gave us a rundown of the treatments for the day. We started off with 25 minutes in the sauna (with cool cucumber water and peppermint towels) followed by a full body dry scrub, swedish massage with focus on pain points, scalp massage, butter body wrap and finally a foot scrub, all of which took almost 2 hours. Everything was perfect although the foot scrub just included putting on sugar scrub in the feet and rubbing it off. No active scrubbing so I didn't get the point of it. The scalp massage was very gently done for a few minutes on only mid portion of the scalp, so it wasn't as thorough as I would have expected. The goodies bags were a great gift and included a dry brush, soy candles, chocolates, Viva body butter and lip balm. The check out process was slightly strange as the front staff were a little rude and we felt an immediate return to the real world after a relaxing two hours. I had a gift certificate for gratuity and had specifically inquired if it can be used for the same but the front staff said that it has to be paid separately. I asked her to check again and then she said it worked. Not sure if she was really not aware or just trying to get more money out of us. The package + gratuity was already expensive so I didn't appreciate being treated as though I was not paying enough. They do offer a 2-hour parking validation at the adjacent garage but you have to pay additional fees if treatments exceed this time limit.

Brielle was amazing! I wanted natural, subtle changes and she absolutely nailed it. She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for and made sure everything was perfectly tailored to me. Her attention to detail and calm, caring vibe made the whole experience so easy. I left feeling confident, refreshed, and still totally like myself, just a little better

My husband provided me with a prenatal spa day. My experience here was exceptional in every way. I was here for almost 4.5 hours and everything was timed perfectly, catered to me and my needs, AND they provide lunch. 100% will come back and I cannot wait to get regular services here.

Full-time caregiver and full-time job, and burnout is real. My husband gave me the afternoon off, and I found that Viva had some last-minute facial appointments available. It had been a long time, but any time away from my reality is worth it. They were running a special for their 20th anniversary, and I jumped on the deal. They have remodeled and expanded since the last time I was there. Parking is now a system, but it is free for two hours. I had Valya, and she was nice. It was a basic facial. Again, I was only trying to get away for a bit. Valya did try to upsell me a few times. I would have preferred to stay in my zen, but I get it. It wasn't too pushy, but it is a thing. I also found the checkout a bit depersonalized. Giant Apple monitors, tag, swipe or insert your card. Bye.... no clue what the girl looked like. Glad I did it. Not sure I would do it again at 2025 prices but fit my needs for the day.

I recently had a massage by Teresa and it was fabulous. She was kind, professional and very knowledgeable on massage therapy! It was one of the best massages I have had in a longtime! I was so happy to get the viva day special for my girls trip! While at the spa I had the pleasure of getting an express facial by Ashleigh, who was very patient, knowledgeable and friendly in all things skincare . I was so happy to get in to see her. She took the time to explain everything I asked, and gave me lots of advice about how to help my skin. I can't wait to come back to Austin for another facial and massage! If you're in Austin I highly recommend booking yourself an appointment! 5

My friends gave me a gift certificate to Viva and I decided to use it for a back facial. The aesthetician Nikki did a great job. Exfoliation, extractions mask, the whole works. I feel ready to be bear this summer.

This place is such a vibe and all of the staff are incredibly kind. We really love Alma and Kate for our massages here, they're always so great about figuring out exactly what we want out of our massages each time we visit. Would definitely recommend them and this location!

Tina is always such a wonderful therapist. Warm, friendly, professional. My feet have consistently improved with my regular visits to her for deluxe pedicure.

Brielle is FANNNNNTASTIC. She is gentle, patient and thorough. I am Deaf so it takes longer to commuicate with me via text/siri... she sat down and did not rush through or shorten conversations... she even took time to answer questions about other work I'm considering doing. This is my second visit with her. I hope she comes back after her beautiful son is born so I can continue to have her take care of me. I also LOVE the vibe at VIva!!! THANK YOU!

Love Viva. I must admit I have been going to other cheaper places and it is hit or miss, mostly miss. Viva is always consistently good with mani pedis. It's worth every penny. And open on Sundays. It's been 4 weeks and I just got a compliment on how great my toes look.

First timer's perspective: we all booked the Signature Massage and would all recommend Viva Day Spa! Worth! My massage was so relaxing and felt amazing. We will be returning for sure! Can't wait to try facials and other services offered here. Of note, if you book for 5 people or more then you have to go through a coordinator and place a 50% deposit. Quick and easy process.

I love this spa, it is so pretty, welcoming and relaxing! My esthetician is Ashlynn and she is so good at her job and knowledgeable. I have been to her probably 5-6 times now and she is always excited to help me with my skincare needs.

Heather R is an amazing massage therapist! She is intuitive a discerning problem area and has great knowledge of anatomy which she uses skillfully to provide relief from pain or soreness. She is the best!

I cannot say enough about how positive of an experience I had with Cori. She is phenomenal!! I guess we can call it a massage, however, it felt more transcendent than any previous massage I have had. She's doing something different in there that is deeply therapeutic. Thank you! I am so grateful to have had this experience. Next time I'm in town, this will be first in my list. On a humerous note, I was in such a magical state post massage that when I stopped to pick up a few things at Thom's market, several people who worked there inquired. I came here for a massage and it was so nice. My masseuse was amazing and made sure to ask pressure and if I had any sore spots. Very relaxing and inside is very beautiful

Samantha is a fantastic, she takes into account any issues/pain/stress you are experiencing and focuses your massage accordingly. Samantha also gave me some useful tips and stretches to help with problem areas.

I loved the ambiance of the waiting area, the services were superb and the staff friendly. Prices were on the higher side but appreciated the parking validation.

Since moving to Austin and sampling most high end spas,I must say that my experience here at Viva is by far the best that I've had. The staff is down to earth and very accommodating. The providers are attentive and very professional. They stand by their word to ensure that you receive the best care and have a great experience. I enjoy Brielle. She's a gem.

i've been doing a spa day once a quarter at any place worth going in the Austin area. Viva has always been on my list and I got to go here after receiving a gift certificate from my mom. I guess what I will say about the spa is it's not the one where you put your clothes in a locker and you put on a rope and you get ready for your day at the spa, it's more of sit in the waiting room with your clothes on until your next service. So it's very different from Mirval or Makara. This was a great service if I just wanted a massage only. My massage therapist was amazing and afterwards you get dressed you pay you go home. I wouldn't necessarily say that it felt like a complete wind down which is what I love about spa, but it was a great massage. It was a beautiful facility and I love that there was ample parking and you didn't have to pay for that either, which is a bonus for the downtown area. I would like to try some of the other Viva locations like the domain and they also have a third which has more of a house style facility just to see the difference, but this was a great inexpensive gift that I could give to anyone without breaking the bank of some of the more costly experiences if I were spending $150 but if you're going to spend 300 or more, I would give someone a gift to an actual spa day where they can use the entire facilities like pool lunch sauna steam room and Jacuzzi just for booking one service.

Kelly is AMAZING! She became my esthetician when I decided to get some IPL. From the first one to the final one she explained every step and the results were incredible! IPL turned into hydra-facials and most recently Fraxel. She has an amazing energy and knows what she's doing! I would highly recommend Kelly!

I made an appointment online for same day. When I walked in, it smelled clean and refreshing. I was brought to a waiting area where it had cucumber water as refreshment. After waiting a bit, my facial person came to get me. She asked me where my trouble areas were. The whole thing was relaxing. I will say however, I have lash extensions in and when working on my face, she pulled a lot of my lashes out. Overall, the experience was nice.

If you are in need of a pain-healing, deep tissue massage therapist please go see Trey at viva on south Lamar! I recently started going there after trying several other things to deal with terrible back pain that would sometimes make it hard for me to function during my day-to-day life - after just one session I felt so much better, where I could go back to working out, playing with my kids and functioning almost pain free. I've now had three sessions and will continue as part of my welness/recovery as long as I am able. Trey is magical with his hands, gentle in spirit and so knowledgeable with his pain/ healing work please go see him. You will not regret it. Go see Trey!!

My 1st experience at Viva Day Spa and I will be returning. My boyfriend had gifted me a gift card for a Mani Pedi. It was very easy to redeem. Also they offer parking in their parking garage and will validate for you up to 2 hours I believe. Upon arrival I was offered hot tea, water or hot chocolate. I started with some lovely hot tea. From there I was taken to a smaller room for my Mani/Pedi. It's not a huge room, but I got a seat by the window so it was good for people watching on Lamar. I HIGHLY recommend requesting Stephanie for your nail services. She was absolutely lovely to talk to while getting my nails done and did a wonderful job. Keep in mind they also offer wine! It basically felt like a little happy hour for me lol I can't wait to go back for some more pampering :)

Have never been a huge Spa girl but decided to book a birthday celebration package or something similar for my birthday this year. Little gift to myself. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! You're greeted by the front desk upon entry while they check you in, the entry was is beautifully designed with an assortment of jewelry clothes etc to purchase if you like. You are then escorted to a little waiting room with essential oils in the air, teas, flavored waters, mints, magazines, and a comfy couch allow you to get into the relaxed calm spa mindset. The whole place at this point feels like a chic boho getaway which is my dream so I was in heaven! Your name is called by whomever you selected as your masseuse. Every person on the staff from front desk to masseuse was extremely kind and carried this calming sense about them. I received a little goodie bag, a 60 minute Swedish massage, and a scalp massage during my stay. The scalp massage is an add on and it's worth every penny! I can't lie when I say I felt so beyond relaxed leaving and it was the perfect way to rejuvenate and restart. Not to mention for a spa, I feel like the costs are very reasonable and they offer parking at no cost with a service in a protected garage. Great experience and can't wait to go back for Valentines this coming week.

My mom and I both had a great 60 minute Swedish massage! My therapist, Samantha was amazing. She checked in a couple times during the service and showed me a stretch at the end to help with my problem areas. I added a hot peppermint towel which helped relax the muscles and left me with a cool sensation afterwards. It was a great price, and they had great relaxing aromatherapy. They were out of towels in the bathroom but by the time I went back after my service they were filled. We would've liked some napkins near the tea/trail mix. The only non positive was we were asked to arrive 15 minutes early but took us for our appointments 5 minutes late. The music in the treatment rooms had lyrics and I prefer relaxing spa music instead

I had a deep tissue massage with Heather yesterday. She has a really kind and calming energy, but man is she strong and clearly has a great underlying knowledge of musculature. The massage was wonderful and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for deep tissue. Lovely little oasis in town! The pre-treatment room is coed but everyone is in their street clothes so not a problem.

My daughter and I had hydrafacials there for the first time and the service and ambiance were amazing. Jamie and Rebecca were fabulous. The results are astounding!!! Thank you!

Tina the Nails Tech did a great job. Outside of all the normal procedures in a MANicure, she offered some wine and chocolates with a massage chair & hot pad on my neck. Nails are looking sharp!

Viva is my spa staple. I usually go to the location on 35th for massages and standard facials but I started coming to the Lamar location for the IPL facial treatments. My favorite service provider is Kelly S and she is a gem- a true professional with a calming presence. When I first met her, she immediately made me feel comfortable and talked me through the process. She was very in tune and closely monitored how I was tolerating the service. I'm also now hooked on Skinceuticals products thanks to Kelly. I've always felt at ease at Viva due to the cleanliness and safety precautions. I don't usually encounter more than one other patron.

Viva is my favorite guilty pleasure in Austin! Jordyn does my Botox and does a phenomenal job. I've recommended her to so many friends. As a 2024 bride, she was so helpful to recommend products to improve my skin and get me wedding ready. Her Botox expertise leaves my skin looking amazing.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my massage with JJ. She was attentive to the areas I needed a little more work on and made my massage relaxing while working on all my knots. I felt great after the massage and could tell I would be "good sore" for the next few days. The warm neck pillow, scalp massage, and attention to detail like the temperature of the room and lightening made for such an amazing getaway experience. If you haven't seen her, I highly recommend it!

This review is for the mani/pedi services. My husband booked me a reservation for our anniversary and the nail tech was annoyed the whole time and giving me a lesson for going to "regular" nail salons. It was hard to enjoy the service. I got a shellac mani and deluxe pedicure. Then when I went to check out, the front desk person said there was no card or gift certificate on file so I had to pay. I tried to explain that my husband reserved it for me but she wasn't helpful. I ended up paying for the service, no biggie. My husband called the next day and the person he spoke with mentioned the girl was new and didn't know how to look up his card on file when I checked out the day before. And now, less than one week later, the nail polish has begun to chip (highly visibly and noticeable on big toe and starting to lift on index finger on right hand). I wanted to like this place but unfortunately I do not recommend.

Amazing experience at Viva Day Spa! From entering into the spa I loved my experience! The facial i received was perfect and just what i was needing! Ver knowledgeable aesthetician! I really found my go to spot for facials! Cant wait to try all the other services they offer! The front desk girls were so helpful and sweet! Everyone was so sweet at the spa! High recommend, they have multiple locations! Can't wait to return soon!!

Got a gift certificate for a friend and it was a hit! A great choice! Lots of options for relaxation!

Extremely disorganized, was texted to reschedule my appointment but didn't have anyone available to speak to do that with. Ended up waiting an extra hour, overall the experience was extremely disappointing. The service provided was mediocre, but overall accommodating and service was not worth the headache. *** To add: the weather conditions weren't terrible. I've lived in Texas my entire life and it was 30 degrees with no rain, so no ice or sleet were on the roads. I understand having to open at a later time but if I was sent a message early enough to be told to reschedule my appointment (within that same day) someone should be available to help me reschedule that appointment. When we arrived for our appointment, they were fully aware that the person who initially was going to provide the service wasn't going to show up for our appointment and only decided to tell us when we arrived. I could go on. The experience was not the greatest, the lack of communication and execution was such a let down. If you are on vacation, I don't recommend.

Pretty lackluster experience with Erin-Kate (EK). I get monthly facials but this was my first hydrafacial. I got the most expensive hydrafacial, 75 minute platinum hydrafacial as a birthday gift to myself but I wish I didn't bother trying this location. Erin-Kate didn't get me from the waiting area until five minutes after my appointment time, she didn't start the service until seven minutes late and she ended around six minutes early, so the service actually ended up being around an hour versus a full 75 minutes. Had it not been for a birthday discount, I would've mentioned something at the front desk but I wanted to get out of there because parking is only validated for 2 hours and I was already running close to the end since I got there over 20 minutes early. Erin-Kate had the wrong name written on the bed and she had no leg riser so my back was uncomfortable the whole time. Zero check-in if the bed was ok - it just felt like she was going through the motions. I typically prefer a more relaxing, quiet facial experience but this felt too silent especially for her knowing it was my first hydrafacial. She explained a couple of steps in the beginning but didn't really explain what she was doing later in the service. It was also tough getting her to give her opinion on serums based on my skin's condition, which should be an easy task for an experienced esthetician, but she kept resorting to "it's whatever you want." When I was asking questions at the end of the service it felt like she was rushing out the door - no offer for tea or water after, she tried to rush me to checkout so I asked to stop for water. I'm giving it an extra star because the hydra facial service is something I would like to try again with a better esthetician, but overall, I wouldn't return to this location so I'll have to stick with the domain location instead

Viva is a fantastic spa! Proprietors Shannon, Maya & Laurie are the epitome of "the old Austin" spirit. Therefore it has a great staff! The level of detail and care in every service is second to none, it's a perfect blend of professionalism and personalized care.

My friend and I had an amazing time here and each got one of the BEST massages we have ever had (thank you Alma and Samantha!) There was a mixup with our appointments that cut one of our services short, but the staff acted quickly to make up for it and were very kind and generous in the process. We will be back!

Had to reschedule an appointment due to last minute work conflict and despite giving 24 hours and 20 min notification, was not able to reschedule or refund due to being more than 24 hours cancellation policy. Rules are rules, but life happens. I was told this was due to how they compensate their staff, yet there were many many openings in the schedule both when I booked and when I tried to reschedule.

I had such a positive experience with Natalie! She was so attentive and my results look amazing. I had never received filler before and I'm extremely happy with the end result.

I like Viva's environment. Very calm and relaxing. The service is alright. The only thing that really annoys me is how they market their massages. I booked a 75 min massage for 10:15am. After the consultation, I physically laid down on the table at 10:23. The lady came in 5 mins after that. When everything was done it was 11:30. If I'm booking a massage for 75 mins, then isn't it 75 mins of massage time? Not 60 mins? You pay more to have the 15 mins of massage, right? Now if the massage is going to be just 60 mins plus consultation, then market it that way. Don't lead me to believe that I'm going to get a massage for 75 full minutes. Total rip off. I've given this place a second chance and they disappointed again. My opinion is not biased because my sister and mom have had the same exact experience. Bottom line, whatever you book, just know that you'll be getting less than what you paid for.
