The place is gorgeous! The buffet is great, a lot of variety. I got a massage at Necui Spa. The massage was wonderful and then they talked me into a pedicure. I was expecting a fabulous pedicure but I got a polish change. She didn’t scrub my feet. It definitely was not a normal pedicure by any means. They don’t have gel polish, they have about 10 colors to choose from for a whopping $73!!!!! INSANE. We are currently still here. So far that is my only complaint.

I was very impressed with our quiet location especially since we were travelling with a toddler. The room is definitely amazing, two sinks and a large porch. Very clean and we were even provided a sterilizer for my child’s sippy cups. They have filtered water. They were very accommodating to our needs. We are very appreciative and more than happy for coming to this resort. They have a child pool and a child area with a playground and activities. Greta night time entertainment. High chairs if needed at each location. A variety of food at each buffet. The Mediterranean restaurant was amazing. Thank you guys so much. Ps the beaches are also amazing and the staff is super friendly.

I cannot fault our recent trip to Viva Maya in any way! The whole complex is so clean, the shrubbery and trees were so well kept and gave a great nature feel throughout and being an all inclusive you worry about the food but the restaurants to pick from all served great food with lovely service and the buffet gave an amazing selection too. What also made the trip so unforgettable was the staff throughout the hotel, how friendly and accommodating they were and one person in particular was Marta from guest services. She was extremely helpful with bookings for food, recommendations for places outside the hotel, excursion tips aswell and her English was probably also the best i heard the entire time i was there but everytime that we went to Guest services she was always there with a smile and more than happy to help!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Viva Maya the last week of October 2025. We had the most incredible time at this resort. Our room was beautiful and right on the beach, the food was always amazing and the entertainment staff were so great. We also got the lobster dinner and highly recommend it if you want to pay for an upgraded dinner. We did the sea turtle excursion and it was also so fantastic. All the bar tenders and staff were so kind. The beach was also so beautiful and we never had to worry about a spot cause they’re lots of seats! We would definitely recommend this resort!

We have been to this resort 3 times and are going back for a 4th in April. Love the staff, entertainment and location. The beach is beautiful and the resort is very clean. The rooms were being updated when we were there last so I can't wait to see the updates. We have stayed at the sister resort viva Azteca also, can't wait to go visit there as well.

Well, where do we begin? We only booked this vacation two days before and wow! We hit the jackpot, yes it’s a 3* resort according to Tui but we were made to feel really welcome by the amazing staff, very clean resort the staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining. amazing beach and pool. The entertainment team were awesome they put on events and games for all ages. Never thought 50’year old me would be doing water gym everyday 😆 ||Thank you team Villa Maya ||Love G&T x

We booked a 7-day trip with Air Canada for $1100 CAD (flight & transport included). We didn't expect much from Viva Maya, since we were looking for something economical, yet our expectations were blown away!||Everything about Viva Maya was great. The rooms were clean and had great AC, the beach was beautiful, there tons of activities to do, the buffet was great and had tons of flavor and meat. The entire staff was very attentive and kind. The Wi-Fi in the room was not the best, but they had a great café where you could go work or study.||There were no hiccups of any kind, and we are very happy with the value we got.

We stayed at this resort from: 10/26 thru 11/02/25. The beach is beautiful, however the resort wasn’t what we expected. Mostly all reviews we saw online were great, unfortunately ours isn’t. We go to Cancun at least once a year and have been to many resorts, this resort is below average. ||First bad impression was during check in. While it was pretty busy, only two representatives were working the front desk and it took forever to get a room. It also didn’t help that our rep wasn’t friendly. Once in our room, we immediately noticed we didn’t have a coffee pot nor a mini bar! The room only comes with an empty mini fridge, a safety box and a thermos which you need to use to go fetch your own drinking water from some reserved areas! When I asked for a coffee pot I was advised only club members get a coffee pot!!! ||This resort is small and only has 1 buffet so it gets a bit uncomfortable in the dining area because of course it is usually full, also no air conditioner in dining area. The food selection is pretty much the same every single day, they rarely change the menu. The buffet staff tried to avoid you at all cost so you really have to work hard at getting their attention! Luckily, there is a really good server, Antonio, he truly goes out of his way. He is always singing and has an eternal smile on his face. From 3 a la carte restaurants we visited:(Mediterranean, Italian and Mexican) we only liked Italian (thank you Christian for facilitating the reservations.) This place only has two bars and if it wasn’t bad enough that the liquor served is unknown and very cheap you also need to wait on line for at least 20 minutes to get a drink! The whirlpool is COLD! They have a couple small swimming pools (cold water too) which are usually crowded. Our room was cleaned daily around 10-11am, but our friend’s room, which was next to ours was cleaned daily after 3pm and this really annoyed them. A few staff confided they are under staffed and also shared they heard the same complaints from multiple guests and have shared this with management but no one listens.||Lighting around the resort isn’t the best and floors are often wet. I fell and luckily my friend asked front desk for help and they had their staff look at my injury. A shout out to Araceli, she was so professional yet so caring while looking at my injury.
