Well, where do we begin? We only booked this vacation two days before and wow! We hit the jackpot, yes it’s a 3* resort according to Tui but we were made to feel really welcome by the amazing staff, very clean resort the staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining. amazing beach and pool. The entertainment team were awesome they put on events and games for all ages. Never thought 50’year old me would be doing water gym everyday 😆 ||Thank you team Villa Maya ||Love G&T x

Excellent resort, defintely a 4 stars! A bit of sargassum but not very much. Room were very clean. The only meh i would say is the food, not a lot of choices and not the best but it definitely okay. Lot of animation and fun. Definitely recommend. People were very polite and fun. Also its kids friendly which doesnt matter to me but just saying.

A lot of people complain about the food but in our experience, the food was amazing! I suppose if you don't like Mexican food you might complain. But then, why are you even going to Mexico? Drinks were great. Staff was friendly. Resort was beautiful and well kept!

My family decided to go to Viva Maya resort for our 3rd trip to Mexico. So glad we did. We all had a great time from the beginning to the end. All around activities- entertainers are awesome especially Sexy Willy so funny and friendly. So much things to enjoy- the food the service the nightly shows the dancing. We loved our experience here and would love to come back here again. Thank you!

I have never been in a hotel that I have been treated differently due to some of the guest are club members. It was hot when we arrived, was thirsty, so it was not pleasant to see that others are receiving welcome drinks and wet towels. I like hotels where everyone treated the same so personally I would not book this hotel for myself. It was difficult to get into the room, as the cards did not really work. There are smoking areas provided, they ask at check in if you smoke and they will watch you if you break the rules, $250. Luckily none of the hotels own the beach, hence, easier to smoke on a wild, public area instead of squeezing into a small section, which was very humid due to the setup of the area. There was some sort of disco going on, which it did cause a sleepless night while there is a theatre on site so I don't understand why the music was on so loud near the lobby and rooms. I have got laughed on by Margarito at the restaurant because I couldn't spot where are the spoons. Clearly this is not an attitude and behaviour I would expect by hotel stuff. Room was clean, but like I said sometimes we needed to try the cards 5-6 times to get access to the room. I stayed at Hrand Bahia Principe 8 years ago, I would recommend that hotel, but not this. I experienced before that locals, Americans and Germans treated well, I am Hungarian, and I doubt they have got so many costumers from my country. First impression is the best, and unfortunately they have failed. I also stayed in some of the Wyndham before across the globe, they were much better.

Very good entertainment and shows. The trapeze team was great teaching me some fun skills to do and is also FREE, I trusted them with my life. My group and I had a great time and definitely one of the best Viva resort that we have visited out of 3.

The hotel has a great location and is very pleasant. It's very clean, and having animals around people is a great idea. Unfortunately, it has its drawbacks. The food was terrible, of very poor quality, which had nothing to do with Mexico. The beer at the bar was awful, even watered down. The best place was the cafe, which served delicious coffee, cakes, and doughnuts. It was a very friendly place to spend time. Another huge downside was the quality of sleep. We stayed at the hotel for a week, and four of nights we didn't sleep. The hallway where the doors to the rooms are located is not soundproof and is incredibly noisy. Every time the doors close, we wake up. On the first night, at 2 a.m., there was an argument in the hallway, and people were banging on the doors. The last few nights, a group of teenagers showed up and partied all night, chasing each other down the hallway and running from door to door. Ultimately, it was our first vacation where we were happy to back home. What surprised us most was that upon check-out we were charged a $10 fee for losing our hotel bracelet.

We had a really good experience at this hotel. The service was excellent—staff were friendly & attentive. Every evening, the animation program changed, which kept things fun & interesting throughout the stay. Sparkling Clean Hotel The food was another highlight. Meals were diverse . The only downside was the air conditioning in the dining area—it really needs improvement. It was Very hot during meals, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.
