Vivekananda House

We visited Swami Vivekananda House (Shri Ramakrishna Math) today with our family, including our 7-year-old son, and it turned out to be a truly divine and enriching experience. The museum ticket price is very reasonable at ₹60 per adult, and the value you get is far more than what you pay. The exhibits beautifully present life lessons through well-curated pictures and displays, making them easy to understand and engaging even for children. A major highlight was the three short films based on the life and journey of Swami Vivekananda. These were presented in 3D, 4D, and Virtual Reality formats, which made the storytelling immersive and memorable. The experience was both educational and inspiring. The entire place is calm, peaceful, and spiritually uplifting. It’s not just a museum visit—it’s a space that encourages reflection and inner calm. We had a very good experience. The house is very clean and it is being maintaining very well. 3 short movies they play here. A Multisensory Experience movie, a 3D movie and a 4D movie. You must experience these. The Multisensory Experience was awesome and the picture quality and the clarity was exceptional. The 3D movie was good. The 4D movie was also good. But seems the sound was less and the picture quality was not good. You can see Swami Vivekananda picture in 3D and the real pictures that took here when Swami Vivekananda visit and stayed here. Finally you will get a digital photo where you sit/stand beside Swami Vivekananda by using Augmented Reality. Overall it was a wonderful experience. My kid was enjoyed well.

It's worthy to visit the Vivekananda House. Clear representation of India can be understood here. Three shows are - 1. 10 min short film about understanding of life after death 2. Take the feel of 18th century and vibes of Vivekananda - Truly unbelievable 3. 3D show about Vivekananda's speach at Chicago. Lastly the meditation room to feel..... I purchased few books about Vivekananda and Yoga.

I experienced this place alone in my solo travel. It was really superb.. I loved it. Here there was a 3D Hall, Virtual Reality show, Meditation room A/C, and his life history video, wax statues available. Entry ₹50/- per person. Mostly I loved VR show. Don't forget to take selfie photo with Vivekanandar. It's must.

The place was very well maintained. I had visited this location exactly ten years back and this timd I saw a lot of new exhibits. They have adopted new technologies very well, including state of the art AV rooms which brings Swami Vivekananda and his teachings back to life. Photos are not allowed inside the Vivekananda House. Highly recommend a visit.

Vivekananda House is located right opposite Marina Beach, so the road outside is usually busy — better to plan your visit accordingly. Inside, it’s a peaceful and well-maintained place. The highlights are: 1. VR photography with Swami Vivekananda — a nice experience. 2. Museum exhibits from the time of Swami Vivekananda’s visit in 1897, along with displays related to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Hindu philosophy, and Indian culture. 3. Meditation hall, offering a calm and silent space. 4. 3D movie of Swami Vivekananda’s famous 1893 Chicago speech, which is presented very well. If you’re a follower of Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, or interested in their ideologies, this place will feel meaningful. Even otherwise, it’s a good museum-like experience and worth visiting at least once

Surprisingly modern and entertaining exhibition, as well as VR and 3D experience. An interesting museum about Swami Vivekananda and his life story, from early days in India to his travels to USA. Wisdom and understanding to be found when visiting with an open mind.
