It's refreshing to see Vietnamese Restaurant serving other than the usual Vietnamese staples. I really like the idea of designing your own bento box, but the novelty wears off after a few visits. First, you choose your rice, then choose your meat, vegetables, salad and soup. The food was really nice, all of the elements I've tasted were tasty. Pork Betel Leaf was really nice with the pork wrapped in Betel Leaf, the Caramalised Pork Belly was sweet and full of flavour. The Papaya Salad was sweeter than my usual Papaya Salad, but it's refreshing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Stir-fried Kangkong with garlic is exactly as described, it was delicious on its own and when combined with other elements.
I would've given them 5-star if it wasn't because of the foul smelling bile wafting as we're eating on one uneventful night because of poorly cleaned vomit from previous diner (serviettes with sweeper and dustpan is not how you clean puke with!).
Not to make matters worst, they also forgot the Pho I ordered until I reminded them after waiting a long time for the popular Vietnamese noodle soup. It was worth the wait, the broth was full of flavour and it was quickly became my kids' favourite thing to eat!
Service was basic and at other occasions my experience has always been pleasant. We've all been there where despite all your effort everything that can go wrong went wrong, definitely understandable, so yes I would still come back!
