We booked an overnight for my wife’s Birthday. As soon as we arrived, we were very impressed by the hotel and how it had been done up. It is simply stunning, with a real grandeur feel to it. ||Right from the beginning, the customer service was outstanding. We were checked in by Rachel, who could not of been more helpful or friendly. We managed to get upgraded to a King Premium room, which was stunning. Loads of space, great amenities and even had some incredibly comfortable robes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and we had a brilliant sleep, the 12pm check out is also great.||I had emailed prior to attending to have some extras added to the room, everything was in place and made the stay feel even more special. ||Also highly recommend popping into Champagne Central for a few drinks. The setting is out of this world and the cocktails brilliant! ||This hotel represents fantastic value for money. It is not much more expensive than other very basic hotels, and the building and rooms are fantastic, they have done an amazing job refurbishing it. ||We were made to feel very welcomed by all the staff at the hotel, and can’t recommend it enough. The customer service is probably the best we have ever experienced, can’t explain how lovely all the staff were. We will most definitely be back, thank you for making my wife’s Birthday trip so special.

My partner and I stayed overnight on the 1st of February. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a brief chat about our plans. As it was our anniversary, we were delighted to receive two complimentary drinks. This was particularly special as we had first met at Champagne Central only a year prior, and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the stunning views over Central Station.
The room was fantastic—warm, snug, and provided an excellent base for us to explore Glasgow. The facilities in the room were ideal, with everything we needed. However, we encountered an issue with the hot water after 5 PM on the 1st. Fortunately, by the morning of the 2nd, the hot water was back and perfect.
Breakfast was good, offering a large selection of items. However, the sausages ran out, and there was a 10-minute wait for more to be prepared, followed by a queue to get them.
Overall, it was a lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are first-class and very professional. We greatly appreciated their assistance in storing our luggage on the day of our departure until our train arrived. We will definitely return in the near future.

This hotel exceeded our expectations at every step. I booked this for an overnight stay for my husband birthday, upon check in I noticed that I had messed up my days and the booking was actually for the night before! The check in team (Daniel, give that man some recognition!) were absolutely brilliant. Daniel reassured us he would rectify our issue and provided the best customer service we have ever had in any accommodation. Room was stunning, every detail had been thought about and the bed was especially comfy. We spent some time in the champagne bar which was stunning and felt really special. Upon check out we made use of the breakfast in the hotel which had plentiful options and was delicious. Overall, this has overtaken our usual favourite hotel in Glasgow (Blythwood Square). Thanks for a memorable birthday weekend!

My stay began with more than friendly Wiktoria at check in who cheerfully provided all essential information and amenities. Room was spacious and clean, bed and mattress comfortable allowing peaceful sleep. Decent breakfast.
The only issue I had was the bar staff. The slowest service I have ever experienced anywhere. I had to wait in the queue for nearly 30 minutes and there were not that many people in front of me. This definitely needs to be taken into consideration, especially during busy nights.
I would still recommend this property. Just avoid the bar during busy hours.

We stayed during our honeymoon and the voco couldn't have been more wonderful! A lovely room, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special. So much so, we changed our plans to stay one more night. Truly appreciated the staff and all of the details they did to make our visit so special. It was our favourite stay during our UK trip.
Food was delicious at breakfast. Atmosphere was top notch, adored the proximity to the train station and parking. Rooms were clean and lobby was gorgeous.
Thank you, Voco!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with mulled wine and mince pies and friendly smiles from the wonderful staff. This started out annual celebrations with a special treat!
The rooms are gorgeous and soaked in history, with a comfortable cosy bed with the addition of lovely quality sheets and duvets !
It’s a place of architectural beauty with an impressive wall of pictures of famous guests ! The staff are attentive, polite and go the extra mile my adult son is autistic and they were all very autistic friendly and understanding!
I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and am booking in for an extra day this year!
Comfortable cosy historic building with great staff! And as a seasoned traveler I can’t recommend this place highly enough! It also has the bonus of being in central station so it’s perfect for a commute!

We came here as a group of four just before the new year and had an excellent stay. ||All of the staff were fantastic, and very helpful. The rooms were so lovely, clean and spacious, and the hotel is very cool inside, steeped in history. ||We had cocktails in the Champagne Bar which were fantastic. ||Breakfast was also very tasty - would 100% recommend staying here.

We love the aesthetics of the hotel. The rooms are a little quirky though. Our room (506) was a premium room, but there’s a few oddities. There’s no plug sockets near a mirror for you to blowdry your hair. A seated area/shelf/table would be good. Also, a number of the sockets in our room were round holes, so not compatible with my UK appliances. I didn’t think to bring an adaptor for a U.K. stay.
The shower over the free standing bath was nice to look at, but the shower curtains don’t really close properly (unless you want them sticking to your body) and the fitting was hanging down slightly. Water tends to run down the back of the bath, which can’t be good.
The only other slight gripe I had, was that my stay was a gift and an itison deal with £40 food and beverage voucher. We had one drink in the bar at night and were going to have coffees late morning the following day, as we’d booked an additional night. I had to go to reception to re-check into the room (bizarrely) and they told me that I couldn’t use the rest of the £40 voucher. Bit disappointing as it would’ve been used before the official end of our 1st nights stay. So be aware that you must use the full food and beverage voucher before you go to bed.
That aside, it’s a lovely hotel, nice staff and a great breakfast. Super comfortable beds and pillow.
