Yelp
Beautiful lobby, makes you feel like a 5 star boutique hotel, however once you walk into the back and into your room, you realize that this hotel at most is a poorly kept Holiday Inn. Our room had stained, scratched, dented, rusty, and chipped furniture. Other unpleasant findings were a hair ball in shower drainage, bed linen and towels that had dry black lint all over them, and the bed skirt looked like it had just left the dryer with so many wrinkles. the coffee maker was not working because it was missing the drainer. When we asked for one, they went to three rooms to "borrow" the drainer and discovered that the coffee makers in those rooms were also missing drainers! The end result is that we were not able to make coffee in our room. The hotel also did not reveal that it was being used to house folks that were adversely affected by hurricane Ida. Although this is a very noble and altruistic endeavor, people bring their living habits with them. As a result, there excess noise and unfettered access into the hotel at all hours (unlike other hotels in which front doors close in the evening requiring room key access). Another issue was housekeeping. No such service was provided to us during our three night stay. When we asked why, we were told that we had signed a declination of such service which was not true. In spite of our assertion that we had not signed such form and that we wanted room service, this was not provided. We have never been in a hotel where we have had to go to the front desk to ask for blankets, coffee makers, and a roll of toilet paper. In summary, what we got was certainly not worth the over $200 per night we were charged. We forcefully decline to recommend this hotel to anyone. Please, do yourselves a favor: do not book a room in this hotel!!
Sincerely yours,
