Vogue Hotel Montreal Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

"Why book? A downtown icon that got an unbelievably sexy new makeover The Vogue has been transformed—by the genius team at Montreal creative firm Sid Lee—into the design-driven boutique hotel experience that downtown Montreal deserves. If you want a prime location, a killer restaurant, and a see-and-be-seen atmosphere, there’s nowhere better. Set the scene The lobby area provides a breath of fresh air from the hectic atmosphere of downtown, and a setting filled with black walnut woods from Italy and opulent white Turkish travertine creates a soothing, luxurious ethos you won’t soon forget. You won’t find a single corner in the common areas–every wall is rounded, with all the walls flowing into one another, making for a fabulous exercise in energetic and biophilic design. The backstory “The Vogue” has been a downtown icon for decades, but had gone through several more corporate-feeling and less glamorous iterations before what it is today. When this building changed hands most recently several years ago, the new ownership group–composed of Turkish and Indian individuals–sought to bring an East-meets-West aesthetic to Montreal, in an ode to the great five-star Asian hospitality experiences not often found in North America. To that end, the design is steeped in quiet luxury. The rooms The rooms have an elegant, European feeling, with pale herringbone wood floors, colorful velvet accent pieces, and large, plush mattresses that create an urban sanctuary in the heart of downtown. Size-wise, they’re among the most spacious hotel rooms in the city. Food and drink Canadian celebrity chef Antonio Park helms hotel’s signature restaurant Yama, which offers a fabulous, cosmopolitan menu of Nikkei fare, a fusion South American and Japanese cuisines. The spa While there currently isn’t a spa, there are rumors that one is in the works for the next phase of the property’s renovation. The neighborhood/area Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, a very specific sub-district of Downtown Montreal, is home to the city’s most important retail spaces. At the Vogue, you’re literally adjacent to all the Gucci, Pucci, Prada you could possibly want at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, and the city’s famous Rue Sainte Catherine runs right by your front door. But despite the hectic, central location, the hotel–especially the rooms–have a tranquil, zen-like atmosphere. The service In its short time open since renovating, the staff has already managed to nail that careful balance of supportive and anticipatory without being overbearing or overly present. If you need them, they are there. Eco effort You’ll find the typical “hang your towel up if you want housekeeping to leave it” approach here, but, more interestingly, almost all of the lighting, lamps and furniture was sourced from local suppliers and artisans in the Montreal area–so while a number of finishes were sourced globally (the aforementioned gleaming travertine) human sustainability was considered when possible. Accessibility Every part of the premises is fully accessible, with easily-accessed elevators on every floor, all doors being at least thirty-two inches wide, and assistive listening devices available upon request. Anything left to mention? It’s worth pointing out that the lobby has some of the most beautiful chandeliers and light installations–if you’re in search of a place to take a killer Instagram, this is the lobby to do it in." - Todd Plummer

Google
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and it never disappoints. The location is amazing and walkable to many of downtowns attractions and only 20 min from Quartier des spectacles. This is a curio level Hilton and one of my favorites I’ve stayed at. The restaurant is on the pricier side but it is quite nice. I recommend the turndown service which we did last time we stayed and it was nice to come back from a show to the room being ready for us to retire. Helpful staff whenever I have questions about points or cancellations. Also the smell is devine I love le labo sandalwood.

As other reviewers mentioned, it is definitely overpriced. I paid $600 for the night, and it was far from worth it. There are many other options to choose from at this tier, and each of them are better than the Vogue. The room was large, but mostly wasted space. The shower was tiny. The bathtub was gross with water jets not being clean. The were also stains on the bench by the end of the bed, yes... I assume those types of stains. The amenities kits are none existant even if posted on their picture. The place almost came across as dated, which is remarkable considering it was newly renovated. It's also quite noisy. All night we heard base blasting, bit sure if it's from the hotel or from outside, just loud. Then there is the restaurant, we had dinner at the bar, all good there. Good and friendly service. But next day breakfast it was terrible. Probably one of the most uncomfortable sitting arrangement in any restaurant I've been. Chair and bench just terrible. I had the short rib Benedict, THE EGGS WERE COLD. I mean COLD, not room temp but actually cold. Everything else was room temp... Room temp hollandaise is sad. Don't forget the +$5 Coffee on the $38 cold Benedict as well. Seriously, this place is a 3.5* hotel charging a 5* price. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.

Horrible. I came in to celebrate a birthday and not even one person at the front desk wished us. Furthermore this is the first time ever staying at a hotel of this quality where a small piece of cake or even a card wishing a happy birthday was not placed in my room. Before you think they did not know. We made several birthday dinner reservations through the hotel and they had our passports with them during checkin. Furthermore upon checkout they promised there were no additional charges on my card. A few days later they charged us for parking and the mini bar. We never even parked at the hotel! And never used the mini bar. Seems the hotel is running a bit of a scam! We even confirmed these facts upon checkout but still got charged! The rooms amenities are similar to staying at a Motel 6. They place nothing in the room and expect you to call them constantly for items as simple as soap and lotion. The bottles were close to empty when we checked in. They don't even have smart TV's for a recently renovated hotel and you cannot watch any streaming services. The gym is on the top floor in a room with no windows. Similar to working out in a dungeon. They provided our room past 6 pm and said we would get a great view. What they gave us was a view of a piece of undeveloped land. Overall awful. Don't stay here.

Google
Very gorgeous hotel, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Our room did have an issue with the temperature being either too hot or too cold, but the staff and maintenance technicians were very responsive and helped fix the problem several times. The location is also convenient, with attractions like art museum and the Underground City nearby. Overall, I’m very happy with our stay at Vogue and would definitely stay here again when visiting Montreal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Stay That Reminds Me Why I Love Hilton – Exceptional Service at Montreal Vogue As a longtime Hilton Honors member — a former Diamond and now Gold — I’ve had the pleasure of staying at countless Hilton properties around the world. But every once in a while, you come across a team that completely redefines what hospitality means, and that’s exactly what I experienced at the Montreal Vogue. From the moment I checked in, Ron and David went above and beyond to make me feel genuinely valued, not just as a guest, but as part of the Hilton family. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are rare qualities that deserve special recognition. They made sure every aspect of my stay was seamless — from the welcome to the personalized touches that reminded me of the level of care I used to associate with Hilton Diamond service. What stood out most wasn’t just their efficiency, but their sincerity. Ron greeted me each day with a genuine smile and an eagerness to assist, while David’s thoughtful follow-ups and hospitality were nothing short of outstanding. It’s clear they both take great pride in representing the Hilton brand and in creating memorable experiences for guests. The Vogue itself is a gem — elegant, modern, and located perfectly in downtown Montreal — but it’s the people like Ron and David who elevate it from a great hotel to an unforgettable one. It’s this kind of service that inspires loyalty, and I can honestly say that thanks to them, I’m more motivated than ever to return to Hilton Diamond status. A huge thank you to the entire Montreal Vogue team for making my stay exceptional — and to Ron and David, for reminding me why Hilton has always felt like home. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll be recommending this property to everyone I know traveling to Montreal. — A proud Hilton Honors member

Google
The rooms are lovely, but... There seem to be little issues in the rooms. Nothing major, but we did need to get one room switched because the temperature was disregulated, and the spare room hadn't been done up with the same exactness as the first. Bed was very comfortable, the pillows are amazing, the comforter is incredibly warm. The main hotel is accessible, but the attached café less so. Lobby is gorgeous. Service is very good.

Google
This hotel was a nice find. The central location is great, everything was within easy walking distance. The rooms are really cute with a charming French style that made the stay feel special and cozy. The lobby is tiny and the elevators are small, but honestly, those were minor trade-offs considering the overall experience. The value for the price was excellent, and that’s what truly made this a 5-star stay for us.

My wife and I stayed at the Vogue for one Saturday night in late November and overall really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, everything inside the room worked as it should. The location was perfect in downtown Montreal close to all major streets. The valet was quick and efficient but I would expect no less for $59+txs+tip. The one issue we had was the room was not ready until 4:50pm which was quite disappointing. At first we were offered nothing, but I was visibly frustrated as we had somewhere to be at 5pm and planned to have our room by 4:00pm. At 4:30pm we were then offered a complimentary coffee/pastry from the cafe next to the reception, or a drink at the bar. Having no time to spare we declined and just wanted our room ASAP. When you are paying for a room for 19 hours (4pm - 11am) it's only fair that they deliver on time. ||We tried room service and had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and all was good.||Overall we would go back as the pros outweighed the cons and the room was beautiful, but if check-in were to be late again I would never return and would let others know as well.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights. We got upgraded to an apartment size corner room as we are a lifetime Hilton Diamond member. The service is impeccable, they cleaned our room 2x a day which includes the turn down service. They change our linens and towels every day and spotless cleaned our room. The toiletries provided were from Le Labo and they smell so good !!! The only thing we didn't try is the jacuzzi. And the only thing I saw that could be improved was the size of the shower, it was so small that it's even hard to turn. The location of this hotel is great, is just across Holt Renfrew ( it's like Neiman Marcus in the US). It's near good restaurants and luxury shopping. It's also near the Museum of Fine Arts.

Yelp
As an update, they were kind enough to reward me with 10,000 points. Good customer follow up.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in a great location, with a definite luxury feel. The room was comfortable and well appointed, with a large bathroom. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was so-so, and we only partook once before moving on, and the prices on the menu were high enough that we ate and drank elsewhere.

Yelp
Vogue Hotel Montreal Downtown is conveniently located in the heart of the city. Upon arriving at the Montreal airport, we took the 747 bus to downtown, just blocks away from the hotel. Vogue Hotel Montreal Downtown features nice rooms and has exemplary service. The room service has a variety of options for breakfast, including but not limited to, French omelette, smoothie, fruit, and bacon. I suggest staying here if you are visiting Montreal, Canada. You will have a great time in a wonderful city.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night as we were just passing through Montréal on our way to Europe. We can't say enough great things about this hotel. It's located downtown, not far from the old Montréal area (where the Ferris wheel is located). We found many things to be within walking distance. Cafe Bazin is located within the hotel and offers coffee, tea, and delicious pastries. The restaurant in the lobby also offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The room was HUGE. We had bathrobes and slippers and a giant jacuzzi tub - the staff gifted us with a bath salt kit to relax prior to our evening flight. High class Le Labo products were in all of the bathrooms (the crowd favorite Santal scent). We had a large selection of snacks and complimentary treats. From the moment we arrived until the minute we checked out, we were treated wonderfully. We will most certainly would come back to this lovely hotel!

Yelp
The Vogue Hotel was an outstanding experience! It is wonderfully located in a very upscale and convenient area. There was nothing (for us) out of walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and had no problem speaking English with us. We had a few "extra" requests, like having more bedding and an empty non-mini bar fridge sent to our room, and everything was satisfied in very short time. Someone had charged a breakfast to our room, and they took care of it with just a confirmation that it was not us who did it. The valet was also really polite, kind, and very helpful. They helped load and unload our bags without even asking. The room itself was very large and comfortable, with lots of comfy seating. It was the cleanest hotel room and bathroom I have ever stayed at, and I really only stay in the "boutique" hotels. There wasn't so much as a stray hair left over in the bathroom from a previous guest. This is very, very important to me, so it really made my stay that much more outstanding! The room was also pretty quiet -- we only heard our neighbors when they were in the hallway. The only complaint for the room is that the A/C was a bit inefficient and loud. We stayed in the early fall, so it wasn't a big deal. The pastry shop in the lobby has fantastic and tasty desserts and espresso. It's a great little place to grab a quick bite. The gym left a bit to be desired in terms of cardio equipment, but it was never busy so it worked for me. We will definitely stay in the Vogue again when we are in Montreal!

Yelp
I booked three nights at this hotel because I saw amazing reviews and thought I was going to get a fantastic experience. Instead I got all style with very little substance. -The AC in my room was broken. I felt I was sleeping in a furnace for three nights. -The ceiling had cracks in it. -Some of the light fixtures were not working. I had to get maintenance to fix some of them. -Despite being advertised, my room had no alarm clock. I had to ask the front desk for one. At least the room was big, bed was comfortable, and the front desk and housekeeping were friendly. I also thought the doormen out front were polite and engaging as well. Location is good too as it right near all the shopping in downtown and it is near the Metro. I still do not get these Boutique hotels. For the most part they seem to miss their mark.

Yelp
This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, clean. Although a bit pricey, I had an amazing stay here. If you have the amex card, highly recommend this place. It is right across from a mall and multiple restauranta within walking distance!!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay and would come back to this hotel. The staff is very friendly. We never ate the breakfast as an amazing breakfast restaurant is a block away and I would highly recommend it. We did enjoy the bar one evening and had a lovely cocktail and French fries. The cleaning lady was so nice and we really enjoyed the chocolate along with the turn down service. We did get room service one night and the burger my husband had, he said was delicious. They didn't have a couple items in the menu so we weren't able to try them. The location of the hotel is perfect and we can't wait for our next trip. Bed was comfy, lots of pillows and excellent toiletries. We were celebrating our anniversary so they gave us a lovely note and champagne.

Yelp
I booked the Vogue Hotel through Amex Travel and used my annual Fine Hotels & Resorts credit. My husband and I were traveling for our first anniversary and am so glad we chose the Vogue Hotel. I saw from reviews that the hotel had been recently renovated and can confirm both the public spaces and rooms are beautiful. From the moment we checked in with Leo at the front desk until when we checked out two days later, we had a terrific experience. We had breakfast at Yama which was delicious (and our waiter was extremely kind and gave us complimentary pastries since he thought the food was taking longer than usual, can confirm it took probably less than 20 minutes). We also picked up some pastries one morning at Cafe Bezin in the lobby and they were also delicious. The croissants are baked fresh on site daily and are quite large. We were upgraded to room 822 which was a standard king room and it overlooked the main street that the hotel is on. The bed was extremely comfortable, the towels were extra large and plush, and the room itself you can tell has been recently renovated. As an Amex Member, the front desk left a small gift of local bath salts to use in the large tub. Not only was the hotel itself nice, every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is located within a 20 minute walk of Old Port Montreal and there were plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. If you are considering booking the Vogue Hotel for your stay in Montreal, I would highly recommend!

Yelp
We had a phenomenal experience at this hotel... Everything from the accommodations to the extremely warm and welcoming staff! The room was beautiful and the bar and food very good. We will return !

Yelp
Last minute booking, super expensive for what it is. $615 for a night for a deluxe room. Got upgraded as I am a Hilton Honors Gold member. The room is beautiful but couldn't admire much as we had a tragedy at home. Even though I informed the staff about the tragedy, they never asked for anything comforting they could do for us. Rather I was charged $7 for consuming two water bottles from the fridge. I called the hotel today to ask what those charges were for, after a long wait I was informed about the water, and was told "next time just ask for the cold water from the reception, don't use the fridge". Rude. I am disappointed with Hilton. Won't give my business again to them.

Yelp
This hotel could not be more inviting! It has everything you could ever want for luxury accommodations-- a big beautiful room, phenomenal service, and a terrific bar and restaurant downstairs. It's also in the heart of the city with accessibility to everything you could want! We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great stay!

Yelp
Front staff was rude, but breakfast was good and the room was large. Close by to many attractions and food. Not the most comfortable bed or pillow.

Yelp
Hotel room was great. Staff were excellent. Thanks to Mohamed the hotel Manager. He was very accommodating and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect.

Yelp
This was such a fabulous stay for our family vacation in Montreal! The coffee shop and restaurant in the lobby was very convenient for our family to start the day. The location is perfect walking distance from everything you could want to explore downtown. The rooms were comfortable, clean, modern, and spacious. Very helpful and baby friendly too as they set up a bassinet for us!

Yelp
Vogue hotel is situated in a nice area of downtown Montreal across from the famous shopping district and the Four Season. The building from outside looks pretty modern and the rooms (mine was a King Deluxe) are great in sizes. I would say the general areas are a bit older and need a little of renovating including the room bathrooms. The restaurant and bar is cool and the drinks are great. I liked the seating areas. One negative is they don't have a spa, but Four Seasons across does! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The price is in the medium range so I was expecting a bit more. One great thing with them is they provide late check Out. Overall for business I would stay here again but not for vacation.

Yelp
Could have been a 5 but a few things shut down because of staffing issues. Abed checked me in. The entire staff from the front desk, bellperson, mtn, and phone team. Breakfast was plentiful as well.
