Fabulous place a bit out of the way but worth going to. Really friendly staff, including our waiter Artruro. The food was very delicious. Love the sauna and hot tub. Just a 20 min walk to a lovely waterfall. The rooms were clean and very roomy with 2 comfy chairs to sit upon. Highly recommend this hotel. It is a gem!

Wonderful place to stay away from the city. The hospitality was exceptional. They really made us feel at home. Food was great, and the rooms were cozy. Even saw the northern lights! The lodge is located on a gravel road. We visited in mid-September, and the road was dry and easily passible in a 2WD vehicle. There are some potholes along the way, but as long as you are careful, it's a fine and beautiful drive along the coast.

We had a wonderful stay at Vogur Country Lodge. We arrived around 2 PM and we were starving. We asked if there was any way to have lunch, and they were so accommodating. Although they were not open for lunch, they gladly opened their kitchen for us and we had the best tomato soup I have honestly ever had in my life with fresh bread. We were beyond grateful for that. We went to our room which was spacious, bright, and very clean. We went on a small walk to the waterfall that is close to the property - highly recommended! We had a fantastic dinner, and the staff was very friendly. I know this is slightly off the beaten path, but we were so glad we made the trip.

I was travelling with some old friends and we stayed for two nights and had dinner there once. The rooms are ok. My bed was like out of HC Andersen fables, one mattress on top of another. I was worried I might fall off the edge so I placed the chair at the edge. I slept like a log. The place is very quiet there and they have a good view towards the south, over the bay. There is no sitting room there so we met in the dining hall. I always opt for the pan fried cod when I travel domestically and this one was a bit of a disappointment. Served on top of a potato puree and rather bland. They had a bar at the reception. It is a bit out of the way and I do not think I make a detour to get there. The breakfast was OK.

We had booked, but our arrival was unexpected for Artur who was managing the whole lodge by himself. Nevertheless, he managed to make us feel welcome and cooked good food. The beds were very comfortable and we both had an excellent nights sleep. Thanks Artur for stepping up and hosting us when the cook was on holiday and your boss was away 👏👏👏

This is a lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Unfortunately it is 120 km away from Stikkishomar, not the stated 20 km. We did go out to the hotel and stayed one of the 3 nights that we had booked but the drive was way too far from where we needed to be so we had to cancel the other 2 nights. Too bad because the stay was great in every way, and the food at the beautiful restaurant was superb.

I had the chance to stay at Vogur Country Lodge on May 25, and it was a wonderful surprise to discover such an outstanding place nestled in breathtaking natural surroundings. The views are incredible—majestic mountains with waterfalls on one side and a serene sea dotted with small islands on the other.||The room was superb and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, adding to the overall fantastic experience.||I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and memorable stay in nature.|— Thormar Ingimarsson, Guide at GJ Travel

Vogue Country Lodge was an absolute home run. Tucked way off the beaten path, we were a bit unsure as we rolled in — but what we found was a truly remarkable experience. Arturo (the everything guy) and Constantine (the chef… and also the everything guy) couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating. Their hospitality was off-the-charts, combining friendly warmth with top-notch service that made us feel like royalty. We visited just before the season kicked off and, to our surprise, had the entire place to ourselves — it felt like our own private retreat. And the dinner? Wow. Constantine really outdid himself. Every bite was delicious, prepared with care, and clearly made with love. It was one of the best meals we had during our entire time in Iceland. If you’re road-tripping through the Westfjords, Vogue Country Lodge is the perfect stop as you’re heading back toward the main part of the country. It’s peaceful, scenic, and a fantastic way to wind down after all the rugged adventure. We can’t say enough good things about it — this place is a must-stop!
