Outstanding service and stunning views describes our stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge. Seeing herds of elephants drinking or playing by the watering holes just meters away was truly priceless - esp when sitting in the comfort of lounge chairs. While the game drives offer sightings of various wildlife (elephants, lions, zebras etc), it was a special treat to see the animals come by the watering holes. The resident hippo is another treat! ||VWL also has several swimming pools evenly spaced out. Food was excellent. Amenities are great. The nearby Manyatta Camp offers a very different experience in a cabin with its own plunge pool. ||Overall a truly unique and special experience for the family.

Amazing location. Very comfortable rooms. Good food and drinks service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even without the game drives we did one morning and evening, we would have had a brilliant time, from watching the elephants that arrived at the watering hole when we walked out onto our balcony on arrival to the troop of baboons that showed up just before we left. The game drives were just amazing and our driver-cum-guide, Wilson, was exceptional.

We stayed one night as part of a 2 day safari. The hotel is a little dated but its clean, being the most important thing! You could hear next door and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. The beds were comfy enough although I am not sure I would have wanted to stay more than a couple of nights in it. If you are there on full board your option is buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner only with a separate pizza restaurant available at additonal cost. The lunch was great with plenty of variety but the evening choice was considerably smaller and not particularly great. The hotel has a couple of swimming pools and an infinity pool that overlooks the watering hole. If we had more time, I think it would have been a perfect place to take a swim whilst watching the numerous elephant, buffalo and hippo just meters away! My husband was a little disconcerted to come face to face with a spitting cobra as it came out of mens toilets near the bar area and fortunately the security guard was on the case to move it away from the guest area. The hotel is listed as a 4 star probably because of its facilities but it does need a facelift and is more of a 3 star. However, I would stay there again, just for the views! Its only a 15 minute drive from VOI SGR station so I would recommend a stop enroute from Nairobi to Mombasa

Super friendly, smiling and professional team members. Spacious room, ver comfortable bed. Meals and Bar very good. Many Elephants, Zebras, Harry, the resident Hippo, Waterbucks, Impalas, Pelikans and other birds, and many more animals came daily to the water holes. Even saw a lion one day. All very close to the bar deck. Truely awesome!

The hotel is enormous and full of people who have come up from the coast. We were booked by an agent who should have know better since we are v experienced travellers and wildlife photographers. It is old and everythung is cheap eg plastic glasses or tiny corner shower. Our experince of the first meal was lunch which was a grossly inadequate. v. poor quality buffet which included fusty tasting lettuce. We were due to stay 2 nights but went straight back to our room and booked elsewhere..Maybe fine if you've never seen an elephant before as they come to a water hole in a bit of scrub, .. otherwise dont waste your money.

I spent a night at Voi Wildlife Lodge during my visit to Tsavo East National Park, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered beautiful views of the surrounding landscape waking up to the sounds of nature was truly unforgettable.||The food was another highlight. Every meal was delicious and well-prepared, with a great variety to choose from. The staff were welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay.||Even though it was just one night, it was a perfect stopover that added so much joy to our safari experience. I would definitely recommend Voi Wildlife Lodge to anyone visiting Tsavo East!

We stayed one night here, and it was by far the most unpleasant hotel experience I have ever had. I have travelled extensively and never once complained - even when sleeping on the floor - but I had never before found excrement in a shower. Upon arrival, I calmly requested a room change because I did not feel comfortable sleeping in that room. The staff apologised and assured me it would be fine and solved by the time I got back. However, when I returned from a safari tour and asked for the new keys, no one had any idea about my request. I ended up waiting nearly two hours, explaining the situation repeatedly to staff who were not only unhelpful but also condescending and dismissive. The manager only came after 9 p.m., having been woken from sleep, and if she hadn't, I would have been forced return to the original, still-uncleaned room after an entire afternoon. For a night costing €130, I expected at least a prompt, professional, and respectful response from the staff - instead, their handling of the situation was slow, disorganised, and entirely unprofessional. As an "apology," they merely deducted 600 KES from the drinks bill - a token gesture that did not come close to making up for the unacceptable conditions and poor service. Note: this would be my first review ever, and hope it would be the last... P.S. for obvious reasons, I would not include any of the taken images/videos as I aim for this review to be read and not taken down.

Fantastic lodge to stay at on safari. Right next to Tesco east park - the animals come right up to you when eating in the restaurant given it is right next to the park! So expect dinner watching elephants, hippo, zebras & wilder beast and much more! Beyond the wildlife staff very friendly and accommodating and food great selection. ||My only small complaint is our room was very hot. I’m not expecting air con but fans were much more effective in other lodges on this trip than in this hotel. But it is wouldn’t put me off returning again.
