overpriced hotel, with average food and mediocre service. The rooms on the top floor have a permanent loud noise and trepidation from the AC machines on the roof. I had to change room in the middle of the night. Service at the reception can be unpleasant and careless. Restaurant is pleasant but the management of the breakfast needs to improve.

One of the worst experience I have ever had in hospitality industry since I grew up. One of the worst customer service ever!! I thought Mauritius is a land of tourists so everyone would be aware that tourism is making a potential part of the economy and therefore focus on customer services 🤔! This was the opposite! I would probably guess that there is a messy with the management, perhaps they were in transition or whatever! I was dropped by a taxi driver at the drop off, the receptionist is looking at me, just staring, I had 3 suitcases, no one would come to help me, I had to drag all my suitcases, one by one, from outside to the reception, still looking at me doing all those trips. I finally finished and approached the reception, she just asked me for my booking confirmation, she allocates me the room in 3rd floor, she just handed the key to me, and just pointed the direction of the lift. Nobody to come with me to show me the room, no potter, no briefing, no nothing.!!! Same way I had to go 3 rounds from ground floor to my room to grab the suitcases, until I finished. The corridor has a carpet which is a messy, very dirty and smelling! I only spent 1 night cause I didn't have an option to cancel. Honestly I will never recommend someone to go to this accommodation! 😪

I’ve visited Mauritius for the past four years and have consistently chosen Voila Hotel for its convenience and affordability. However, each stay has left me questioning whether the experience justifies the cost, primarily due to poor service and noise issues. I decided to give it another chance this year, knowing they had recently undergone renovations, but unfortunately, this visit confirmed it will be my last. The problems began with a lack of communication about my room's readiness. The front desk staff appeared inexperienced and indifferent, which set the tone for the stay. They assigned me a room near the Flying Dodo, where late-night karaoke made it nearly impossible to sleep. To make matters worse, the hotel lost water for an entire day and misplaced an item I sent for dry cleaning. While the clothing was eventually returned, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. With rising prices, Voila no longer offers the value it once did. While the adjacent mall with its dining options remains a plus, the overall experience was marred by slamming doors early in the morning, smoke smells on the main floor, and an overwhelming lack of hospitality. This was, without a doubt, my most disappointing stay.

Unwelcoming staff, no smiles on their faces, they behave like they are paying us to stay, only friendly people were Ram and the Egg station lady. Your prices are not cheap either. Minimum amenities in the conference room. We end up setting up with plastic tables joined together. You are supposed to be business friendly hotel. But you are a complete opposite.

Pretty disappointed with the service. Reception must improve in verbal and non-verbal communication. There was a lady waitress who’d come to ask for our room numbers who really needs to undergo training in being well mannered and responsive to questions asked. The rooms were ok for a budget stay. The food is average. The only good thing about the hotel is that it is 2 minute walk to the Bagatelle Mall. We booked the hotel as the ECOSOCC delegation and the service provided by voila staff was one that bordered on giving us disgruntled treatment and some staff’s tone was even aggressive. I am giving a 2 only because the old lady chef there was very kind. The rest - a disappointment.

Although it was a short stay, I find the hotel very comfortable and neat. The buffet was nice, and the location is excellent. Hope to visit some other time

The hotel lacks basic features like room service. The restaurant is also not geared to handle if the number of visitors are more. It took then 2 hours to prepare my order.. not acceptable under any circumstances.
