Every month, my spouse and I do a surprise date night, and this one absolutely blew me away! Knowing how much I love airplanes and aviation, my spouse booked us a sunset dinner at Volanti — and it was hands down the best dinner date ever. We had a balcony table outside, overlooking the private planes parked just steps away. Watching jets land and take off as the sun set, with black cars pulling up to drop off and pick up passengers — I was in aviation heaven! Safe to say, my attention span for anything other than the runway action was very short (lol). The food was just as amazing as the view. We started with the Take Off Trio, followed by a couple of Espresso Martinis — both delicious. For dinner, my spouse had the Prime Filet Mignon and I had the Prime Bone-In Ribeye, and we both added the crusted blue cheese. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the blue cheese topping took it over the top. We finished with their Hot Butter Cake for dessert, which was warm, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole night feel relaxed and special. Between the food, the vibe, and the incredible runway views, Volanti is a dream spot for any aviation geek — or honestly, anyone looking for a unique, unforgettable night out. Highly recommend — can’t wait to come back!

I have eaten here many times over the years. It’s so cool to sit outside and watch the planes go by. A little noisy but worth it. I love their hamburger with some avocado added. Britney took care of us today and she is always on point.

This place had the best brunch and great service. I got the omelette and added chicken and it was the best omelette I’ve ever had. The potatoes were different, but sooooo good. My husband got steak and eggs and he also said it was very good. My 3 y/o had the best time. I thought we were just going for the vibes but the food was excellent! The building is absolutely beautiful and parking was convenient.

We did the outside bar area overlooking the runway. I love aircraft so it was awsome to sit out and watch the action on the airfield. Over head misting system kept us comfortable in 93 degree temperature. Food was great.

If your private jet has just landed at the Scottsdale Airport, this second floor restaurant with a commanding view of the runways is a great place for lunch. Even if you — like me — don’t have a jet, you will really enjoy lunch here at this casual, light, and airy (and breezy if the folding windows are retracted) bistro, while watching jets take off and land and fantasizing about who could be on them. Sit on the inside side of the bar looking through the folding windows toward the runway, or sit on the outside side of the bar with your back to the jets. There’s also a long line of tables along the railing, looking down at the tarmac and the lines of idle aircraft. We sat at an outside table in the shade. It was a beautiful day but a little warm, so the misters were refreshing. The menu offers a selection of creative bites and well-executed standards. On this visit, my BLTA was excellent as always (toasted but soft bread and a Goldilocks amount of crispy, thick-cut bacon (the BLT is the world’s most perfect sandwich as long as the B, the L, and the T are in perfect equilibrium)). My friend loved his Reuben. But the highlight of the meal was the generous serving of house-made potato chips accompanying my sandwich. If you follow my reviews you know I will go to any restaurant that serves house-made potato chips. These chips were thin and crispy and golden, just as they should be. They rank among the best I’ve found in Scottsdale and Phoenix. If you HAVE just arrived on your jet, you probably just flew in for the $100 Burger, which is accompanied by champagne (Veuve), truffle fries, caviar, and the house-made potato chips. Fun but sophisticated all rolled into one! We went to Brunch early on a Sunday. The food was exceptional. Expecially loved the brisket and Sweet potatoe bowls. The tequila specialty drink was also perfected! We had a booth a bit away from the windows but still could enjoy the view of the planes. We walked outside to see the seating options for our next trip. Outside is a bit more casual (on this day) We will definately try the patio next trip. The staff was great too!

Beautiful location, directly overlooking the runway. Both outside and inside tables will be fully immersed in the sounds of aviation! Really enjoyed the food and ambiance, though food seems more lunch-oriented (lighter fares). Parking is across from the building, but free and also covered (great in the summertime and heat). Would be a great place for hosting an event, or if you are looking for a change of pace then this spot is a wonderful option!

The service was amazing here at Volanti! My boyfriend took us here for our anniversary and our waitress Kim was super sweet and attentive. She made the whole experience of our first time great. She chatted with us and checked up on us numerous of times. The starter meatballs and bread was delicious!!! The butterfly drink was refreshing, the burger though for $24 and no sides is pretty pricey. It was delicious but I would give it 4 stars. My boyfriend got the $100 burger and shared his sides. For a special occasion splurge that is worth it and 5 stars! We did get a bread pudding for our anniversary but it was not the soft, soaked in yummy bread texture that Im used to of a bread pudding. This was sort of rubbery and weird. Bread pudding would be 2 stars. I dont recommend that. The presentation was nice, the taste not so much. I loved how the restaurant overlooked the tarmac so you could watch planes land and take off from there. The location was beautiful. I recommend trying it out and I would definitelydome back.

To start off, we're were greeted with a warm welcome by the hostess. Promptly seated with a nice view of the tarmac full of planes. Shortly after, water was placed and Kim showed up to take our drink orders. I ordered the "paper plane" my date ordered the "butterfly" both were great but the view made it even better. Kim ( our server) was just superb. She was a great face to represent Volanti. As I looked around to Guage the staff, they all seem happy pleasant. Thank you for making our anniversary such a great experience. Fyi-The food was great too!

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday as he is a big fan of airplanes. This place did not disappoint! They had a special on Tuesday and Wednesdays, Date night. On the menu with the date night logo you can choose two entrees and a pitcher of one of their cocktails. This was so perfect for us! I got the braised short ribs which came with mushroom risotto. The meat was so tender and the risotto was so creamy. My boyfriend got the mediterranean stuffed chicken and it came with mashed cauliflower. The sauce that coated the chicken was so delicious! To go with dinner we got the saguaro cocktail which was slightly sweet but didn't over power our dinner. Then we ordered a second round of drinks. And I got the butterfly and it was exactly what I wanted. It was sweet, with a bit of sourness. Finally for dessert we got the butter cake. One way to my heart is this cake! It was creamy, sweet, and the richness of the butter was to die for! Our waitress was very kind and professional. She was attentive and always there if we needed anything. We didn't get her name, but she was very new, and very awesome! Towards the end of the night we were able to see some private planes land and take off which was great to watch. We will for sure come back to this restaurant!

Hubby found this spot for lunch while we were visiting Scottsdale. There is a parking lot area for anyone dining at the restaurant. The restaurant itself is located upstairs, so either take the elevator or stairs. The service overall was great and the sight of the private planes taking off in the background was a neat yet bougie experience. We didn't have a reservation and were seated right away. We chose to sit outside and there were misters keeping us cool. Food was also delicious and decently priced for the area. We didn't order any drinks but there are a variety of cocktails that they offer. Overall not a bad experience and I would recommend it for anyone in the area.

First time today and it was amazing! Go up and elevator to the 2nd floor and we sat outside and saw all the planes landing and taking off. My son loved it. The food was really good. Service was amazing as well. I will definitely be back!

It was easy to make reservations on OpenTable, but I was disappointed that I couldn't select outside. I noted that it was a birthday brunch, and the staff acknowledged it as we were seated, and our server knew about it as well and brought a cute dessert with a sparkler. It would have been cool to be outside, especially since we made the reservations weeks in advance. We got the hash, steak and eggs and chilaquiles. The steak and eggs came with a side of hash. We ordered a foccacia and hummus appetizer, but our meals came before the appetizer so we canceled it. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The drinks were classy. The vibe was cool.

This place has amazing views ti the airport. We went for brunch so you have to make reservations because it was packed. They did take a long time with our plates but they gave my husband a free beer so it kinda compensated that for him especially. We had the churro donuts, farmers market omelette and short rib hash. There was a lot of food and the prices were ok. I think the rib needed more flavor but overall food was good! Will def go back to their happy hour. Seems that the views are "better during the night.

I took a group of 13 senior citizens- from my assisted living... including 2 wheelchairs, 4 walkers, we were 15 minutes late and double our reservation- so I was so deeply grateful when Marcos the manager was a kind hearted gentleman and warmly welcomed us... Britnie was DARLING and so patient with us!! We ate inside but snuck out on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous day, breeze, sunshine, roaring engines, and view! It was AMAZING!! The food was fabulous, the drinks FUNtastic , and the desserts delicious! The fries are so perfect that Brenda from South Africa (who has traveled the world) said they were the BEST and ordered a second round!! Chuck has also traveled the world and brought me to tears to my eyes when he said "I didn't think I had anymore days like this ahead of me... what a day!" THANK YOU VOLANTI FOR BEING SO WONDERFUL!!!!

Great views and great food. The ahi tuna salad is so fresh and delicious. The tuna is perfect! The avocado is generous. My only suggestion is to make the wasabi sauce less sweet, more of the kick you'd expect from wasabi. Prices are a smidge high but delicious a cool spot with a very unique twist as far as location. Ambiance and decor are great.

Had a great time here. Food and drink were delicious and the atmosphere was so fun! Easily could be a fancy date night, but also was very chill for us. I had the church music ipa (always a solid AZ-local choice) and the cheeseburger. Loved the arugula and pickled onions on it! Also had the focaccia appetizer. The goat cheese and tomato combo was delicious! Loved the view of the runway and our server Jose!

Went out for date night on a Tuesday. I have been trying to bring my fiancé to this restaurant for months and we finally had time to enjoy ourselves for the night. We took our engagement photos right before this and this was the perfect place to go to after getting all dolled up!! I LOVE scallops and these scallops are one of my favorites!! All of the dishes were absolutely mouthwatering. The mushroom risotto was delicious as well!! My fiancé loved his short ribs and truly enjoyed the sides too. I think the food was priced very well and the service was impeccable!! I cannot wait to bring more people in my life here to enjoy this delicious food. I love seeing all of the planes take off while eating!! Everyone should experience Volanti at least once in their life!! :)

Hubby took me here for the dinner and helicopter package to celebrate a milestone birthday. The food and service were fabulous. Marco, Siena and Ariel were all attentive and super sweet, making this evening so special for us. They gave us a couple of glasses of complimentary champagne and a delicious ice cream desert with a birthday sparkler...wonderful! They helped us onto the helicopter for an epic sunset ride. All in all, an extraordinary evening

I always get the Wild Mushroom Shrimp Pasta Recently got the date night special for only $90 they give 2 entrees and a yummy decent size cocktail pitcher! Indoor and outdoor seating with great service.

Stunning views at sunset! My fiance and I decided to have dinner at Volanti after the Polo Classic at Westworld. They have a parking lot across the street with signage indicating the spaces for Volanti guests. Reservations were easy to snag, and the hostess was fabulous once we arrived. Volanti's prices have increased since the last time we visited, but the food and service was excellent. The shrimp scampi appetizer was incredible. The garlic butter, diced tomatoes, and spices were wonderful with those jumbo shrimp. We also enjoyed our short rib and sea bass risotto. You honestly can't go wrong at Volanti with the food and those views!

My sister has been to Volanti several times and since my girlfriend works in the aviation industry we decided to go! There was some confusion as to what menu we could order from as we were sat in between the lunch and dinner menus so we had a very limited menu of maybe 7 items we could order. Everything we did order was tasty and our waiter was very nice. It can get a little loud when planes pull up to the restaurant but I think that that only adds to the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant. I would recommend and come back but for when the actual menus are available.

We had such a great evening at Volanti! It's not every day you find a spot with fantastic cocktails, good food, and a view of planes taking off--all in one place. We tried The Triangle cocktail, and it was light, citrusy, and super refreshing--definitely one we'd order again. The drinks came out quickly, and they were beautifully presented with fresh garnishes. For food, we had the meatballs and the clam chowder soup. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the chowder was creamy and comforting--perfectly seasoned and full of hearty bits of clam and potato. The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. With a view of the runway and the mountain backdrop, it's such a cool place to relax and catch a sunset or watch the planes come and go. Bonus: great service and a solid menu of local beers and cocktails. Highly recommend Volanti if you're looking for a unique spot to grab drinks and bites in Scottsdale--especially around golden hour.

We are out on the patio at this lovely restaurant. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed watching all the planes and jets taking off. The food was incredible. I had delicious French toast. The omelette my son has looked very good but the star was the hash my husband had. I would go back for that. Parking was easy and our waiter was good.

Needed a perfect martini and location to enjoy it and Volanti satisfied both. Y'all were super busy, but your team was upbeat and going with the flow. Best bartender attitude ever!!!! He was not going to let anything upset his day or his customers experience. Bravo!

Volanti at the Scottsdale Airport is an Aviation Themed restaurant with runway views. Watching the airplanes land and take off is such a great experience! The food is really good! They have a nice variety. We had the Ahi Tuna Bowl to start and split The Chad which is a chicken sandwich with aged cheddar cheese, pickled onion, arugula and chipotle aioli. Both were excellent! The service was great too!

We just tried this for a weekend, brunch for the very first time and had a great meal! I ordered the Asian chicken salad, which was very generous and my husband got the short rib hash. We both ended up with doggy bags to go home. We did split the shrimp tower appetizer to start. Service was terrific. Our waitress was helpful and kind, and my water glass was never empty, which really pleases me. Great views as you can watch the airplanes and on a nice day, there is outdoor seating. We will definitely go back.

Definitely one of those hidden spots that you want to stay in business, but you don't want everyone to know about it! Volanti is on the second floor of the Scottsdale Airport where you can be seated inside or outside to enjoy wonderful views of the runway traffic and the mountains. The restaurant is a bit of a blank slate but it doesn't need much with the views. There are seats at the bar and then table seating. It was an oddly windy day when I was here so I was happy to be seated inside by the window. I love their menu and I find it extremely hard to choose just one thing here. This visit was at 12:00 on a Saturday so the brunch menu was going strong. They offer everything from beignets, big cinnamon buns, salads, to hashes and classic brunch meals. Check out their hundred dollar burger! We shared the BLTA and it was perfect. They do have a happy hour with small bites from 3-6 during the week! Overall this is a fun stop for a location that offers something a little different with good food!

Came here on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy. We made our reservation through OpenTable. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The outdoor is really cool because you can see planes taking off and coming in. Inside is also nice. Our food was perfect! Our server was so kind and she was very on top of it! We came for brunch today and we tried one of each tamale and they were amazing!! My boyfriend also especially loved the pesto and said it was very fresh that was apart of our appetizer.

This is such a great restaurant! We returned last evening, and so enjoyed the patio vibe. The meatball dish was excellent, the focaccia bread with pesto is fab, and the sliders were pretty delish! Stephanie is the BEST. If someone wanted a first date experience- this place would be it! Can't wait to return in October! Happy Hour there is phenomenal!

The waitstaff was wonderful, the view was nice from the patio to watch the planes. The chairs were uncomfortable and small (I'm 30 weeks pregnant with twins, we had to switch from the high top because I literally just couldn't stay on the tiny seat). Food was good. The trio of dips was great with their focaccia. The Ruben was spicy which I knew from the menu had jalapeños but was a wear choice. There was also hard boiled egg on it? Husband loved his sausage omelette. I'd be interested in checking out their dinner menu. Definitely glad we went, though.

Superb food and service. My wife and I shared a great salad and delicious soup. The soup was divided into two bowls already plus extra. What a great dessert - their specialty butter cake with ice cream. The server Marc was beyond wonderful. So caring and joyous. The airport restaurant is hidden from major streets. Volanti is one of the coolest restaurants I have been to as someone who loves aviation! The airport overlooks the private airstrip where you can watch small to large jets land and takeoff. Highly recommended sitting out on the patio if it isn't 120 degrees out. Our service was not the best on this experience but could have been a lot worse! The short rib hash was delicious and the egg on top was cooked perfectly, I could eat this everyday for breakfast! The Chilaquiles needed a little more flavor, the red sauce the chips were tossed in was bland to me. I also love pulled meat or some protein on my Chilaquiles. Great experience and looking forward to seeing some more jets takeoff!

Volanti is always a hit. I've been here a handful of times and have yet to be disappointed - amazing service + delicious food! This past visit a waiter named Nick took care of us and he provided exceptional service. Our food was delicious, we ordered a kids Mac and cheese, side of fries, braised short rib with mushroom risotto (SOOOO Good) Salmon, and of course we had to have desert - bread pudding and butter cake, both SO SO good.

What an awesome place to hangout and enjoy some good food and drinks. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the planes touch and go. The food was delicious. No complaints. Service was not great. Our server had was not pleasant and we constantly had to request a second time from her for whatever we needed. She was very forgetful. Maybe she was having a bad day. Other than that it was a cool experience. I definitely will be back.

The second time in the past two weeks we visited Volanti. The service was great, the food was wonderful, sitting outside on a beautiful december night added to the enjoyment. Be prepared, the jet noise can be overwhelming at times. But it's brief.

A favorite spot for my family to visit. Our server at the bar was Sierra and she was exceptional! I had 2 amazing cocktails and loved the fun, classy vibe this restaurant gives. Thank you, Volanti, and their warm, kind staff for such a fun experience!

The restaurants concept is pretty cool and being able to watch the runway while enjoying a drink makes this a great place to bring friends or family in town. It's definitely not an experience you can normally get. The drinks were pretty good and the food was also good but nothing special in terms of brunch food. The service has some room for improvement I think. We had to wait on our service a lot and it was obvious she wasn't really listening when we ordered. Two people at the table made requests for dry toast which came out buttered and one person (a vegetarian) confirmed her meal (the vegan tamale) only had corn in it and no meat but upon first bite encountered meat which made her super sick and had to leave brunch. I think I'd come back to have a drink and show someone the experience but probably going to skip the food.

A really unique place to have a bite to eat! They have a great cocktail with some unique offerings. We tried The Triangle and the Dreamsicle and both were great. The food was delicious!!! It was so fun watching the planes take off and land while eating. Our waiter was great and the food came out really fast. The prices were also very reasonable considering the location. Parking took me a second to find but there is actually a big lot with covered parking right across the street that you can use for the restaurant.

Enjoy the ambiance. Food is good. Unfortunate experience with the bar service. Ordered a glass of Chardonnay and noticed the bartender poured from the last few ounces of a 2-day old opened bottle. When I questioned and asked for a fresh pour, she told me it didn't matter as it all tasted the same and continued to serve. Bar was crowded and patrons took notice. Disappointed. Wine tasted sour, expired. At $3 an ounce for a 6 ounce pour, do better.

Excellent service, pretty tasty food and a fun venue. The runaway at this airport is over 8000 feet long so you won't be seeing too many planes taking off right across from the restaurant however instead they tend to land and take off farther to the northeast which actually works out well because it is not as loud out on the restaurant deck as it could be! They serve very interesting cocktails. They also are willing to make anything you want or adjust the ingredients on the cocktails. The sun is pretty intense on that deck, so make sure you have sunscreen on or sit right inside of the bar looking out to avoid getting a scalp burn! The VOLANTI BURGER was very tasty however it came out medium rare instead of medium and that caused the patty to really fall apart. The housemate potato chips were well seasoned and very crispy. The roasted bird was moist and had nice toasted bread. The farmers market salad was a tad disappointing because the added chicken ($7) was quite dry. The lime vinaigrette was bright and had a well balanced flavor profile - touch of lime, just sweet enough and not too thick. The building is nice and bright with high ceilings and glass walls for good sight lines. We will definitely return for more meals and to try happy hour.

Visiting Phoenix/Scottsdale for the NCAA finals and stumbled upon this spot after the first place really let me down. It was walking distance so I headed there not knowing anything about it. The concept is incredibly cool. You're above an airport watching private planes take off and it's incredibly cool to see. No reservation but I was sat pretty quickly. My server was super busy with larger tables and acknowledged I'd been a little forgotten so gave me the cinnamon roll on the house. Cinnamon roll 4/5, probably great warm, but mine was a bit cold. Short rib hash 4/5, I felt like it needed some kind of sauce with the potatoes and ribs. Mimosas 6/5. I love that they bring you a bottle and keep it chilled and provide a juice of your choice. Great hidden gem that I absolutely loved! Also walking distance to a large shopping area!

Talk about the coolest restaurant in Phoenix/Scottsdale. What other place have you been to on a runway of a private airport?! Now let's talk about pricing. Everything is fairly priced, drinks weren't too bad, and a burger is the same cost at any other higher end restaurant. Everyone there is super nice and fast service. I'd definitely recommend the Ahi bowl and you have to get truffle fries for the table. I was with 3 people and we didn't even finish the fries so definitely great value. Burger is one of the best in Az, just consistent.

This is such a cool spot for Happy Hour! The vibe is high but you feel comfortable showing up in nice casual clothing. The ambiance is amazing--modern and huge windows throughout with unobstructed views of the airport so it is fun seeing the plans take off and land and thankfully appropriate sound proofing because we felt like our conversation was never interrupted when there was plane noise. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout and made sure that our drink needs were met throughout. I love that they have an extensive HH drink menu and the options we chose did not disappoint at all---the DICE and Cruising Altitude. We had opted to just do drinks here because we were going elsewhere for dinner but I look forward to coming back to try the drinks AND food next time.

Brunch overlooking private planes and McDowell Mountains We went for a family lunch on a Saturday (brunch menu on weekends) to enjoy the views. Volanti is located in the Scottdale Airpark just east of Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland. Half of us ordered the popular reuben sandwich, which was a bit unique thanks to the addition of jalapeños in the dressing. Cocktails were refreshing. Brunch and lunch are very reasonably priced with dinner being higher end and higher cost. I bet it would be beautiful, though having dinner from day to nighttime as the planes come and go. We all enjoyed the brightly lit dining room of all windows. It was fun to step out onto the patio to watch the planes taxi out and take off. It was interesting to watch people being escorted from private and chartered planes and then escorted to a chauffeured car. I would love to return once the temps cool down so we can enjoy a cocktail at the bar with windows open or seated out on the patio. Special experiences: -Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Date Night. For $90 get two entrees and a bottle of wine. - Book a helicopter tour. For $795 (for 2, Additional for more) take a 20 minute flight over the valley. Not the best visit. Service was lacking and the food was not as good as I would expect based on cost and previous visits. Something is amiss here these days.

This is going be a very simple and straightforward review. My $42 wild mushroom shrimp pasta literally had two pieces of shrimp... Let me repeat that again $42 for a small plate of pasta and two shrimp. Therefore... I'm giving what I believe is a fair assessment of the way I felt looking at my plate as my two lonely shrimp were looking back at me and telling me "you should've ordered the salmon"

We live in the area and we have been meaning to check this place out but didn't want a full dinner this night, so we just had a couple of drinks and an appetizer. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar; so glad they offer open seating for that area! The cocktails were good, the shrimp appetizer was very yummy, the sauce had a little spice but well balanced. Plus, sitting outside to see the planes takeoff & land was fun!

Came here for my birthday brunch with some friends... It is at the scottsdale airport! It was a fun experience being able to see the planes take off and land but nothing wow'ed me. The service was very slow but maybe I would try returning with a smaller party. I got the burger with fries on a GF bun... the patty was very thick. The drinks were fairly good and strong! We had a reservation for brunch on a Saturday and I would suggest it as the restaurant was very packed.

"A BEAUTIFUL HIDDEN GEM" Food was fantastic! The chicken is juicy and moist; the veggies are fresh and crunchy! Prices are reasonable and customer service was perfect. I had an amazing experience with the airport and the interior has such a great feel to it at night! I would definitely be back! I highly recommend

Our experience at volanti over the weekend was incredible! Our waitress Marisa S, was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave us her best recommendations! Deedee was also a pleasure to speak with. Will come back with family and friends!

Love this airport and watching the planes flying and out from the Volante balcony. Have enjoyed many times and have to share how delicious the food is along with the attentive service. I've had bottle service here as well as just a casual drink or two. Can go either way depending if you are with the girls or with your partner haha.

Volanti was exceptionally good! Food and drinks: they have a wide variety of options for brunch. I kept it simple with the eggs, potatoes and toast. They also had great drink options for people that don't drink alcohol. Overall the meal was great for my whole party. Service: we had a reservation for 10:45 but called and moved it up and the team was so helpful and accommodating. They answered all our questions and delivered food in timely manner. Ambiance: the entire location was beautiful. We had a tabletop outdoors ( I will say the high top chairs aren't that comfortable) but regardless the views were amazing. It can get a little windy and loud of course because of the jets but it's still really cool experience. I think next time I would sit inside for the warmer months.
