On picking my granddaughter up from her work, we decided on the spur of the moment to visit Volare...
Despite, us arriving without a reservation (strongly advised), we were given a 2 hour table slot in between the evening rush...🤗
What a treat we had in store...
The food, the friendly attentive staff, and the light-hearted laughter brought back the memories of dining in the wonderful cafes and restaurants that Italy have in abundance.
I chose the penne spezzatino and a delightful dessert favourite - tiramisu.
The spezzatino was delicious- the fillet beef was soft and flavoursome, the pasta, cooked to perfection and holding texture, traditional hearty Italian stew that warmed and filled me up, but didn't make me feel too over-filled.
Leaving me enough room for an unctuous, creamy, light and fluffy tiramisu, and served with an excellent espresso, my journey home afterwards in rush hour traffic was much less stressful than usual...😊
Grazie Volare...I am coming back again soon, and with my dear lady wife ❤️
It would be selfish of me not to share this wonderful dining experience with the one I love!
Goes to show, even us Welsh blokes can be as romantic as our Italian cousins too😍
