Volcano Hotel

A small hotel with 7 rooms. Facility is modern, clean, and up to date. The service is good, and the breakfast is very nice. We stayed 2 nights, and at the first evening we had dinner at their place, ... it was really good. definitely a much stay !!!!

We stayed here overnight and loved it. The place is cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was fresh, delicious, and served early—such a treat to enjoy it unrushed after our busy days. It truly felt like a vacation. The location was also perfect for us, easy to find and right along our route for the full Icelandic ring road trip.

This hotel was such a treat! The family that runs it was so nice and accommodating, and we were so impressed with just the design of the hotel, and how beautiful and thoughtfully designed the rooms were! The beds were so comfortable, and the view from our room to the ocean and countryside was really gorgeous. They have such a comfortable breakfast area - it felt like being at someone's really nice, comfortable home. It's close to the town of Vik, so it's a great base camp for all of your activities in the area and a wonderful place to rest and recharge - even with the hotel being full while we were there, I swear we heard nothing!!

A good value hotel (in an expensive country) just outside the southern town of Vik. Sara, the manager, was excellent and really assisted us in our visit, including recommending restaurants and locations to visit. The rooms are minimally furnished. It was very windy when we were there.

Great location close to Vik and surrounding sights! Easy to get to town and also Dyrhólaey. Had to leave really early so was great to be able to use small nesppresso machine in room

My family of 4 (2 x kids 10 & 11) had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Volcano. Sarah was amazing and the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is a small family operated operation and not a chain hotel with 24 hour services. A great place to base out of to see the sites around Vik. Highly recommend.

Small, clean hotel just outside of Vik. Location was fine - enough outside of town to be cheaper but still close enough to Vik. Included breakfast was great, and someone was there to make fresh scrambled eggs for the guests. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a little bigger than normal Icelandic bathrooms!

Great location right on the main highway. Hotel is tucked away far from the street so no road noise. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Room was spacious and comfortable. We got the room that you could park your car by it so it was easy to get the bags in and out. Dining area had a nice setup and there was also a cozy living room area set up for TV and board games.
