Volcanoes Over View Safaris & Camp

I had an amazing experience with Volcano Overview Safaris and Camp. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The rooms were great—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. Overall, I truly loved the place, and the experience was unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back and relive that wonderful feeling again. Highly recommended!

This stay was absolutely incredible! The staff was so helpful, accommodating and friendly. The hike was beautiful and the tents were perfect for us. All of the staff was amazing and we would 100% come back. For example, staff went out of their way to pick us up from Musanze after a long bus ride and even gave us better accommodation. Beyond grateful for our experience! The only recommendation I would make is that the food delayed a bit when we got dinner. Besides that, it was perfect! Thanks for the hospitality!

amazing wilderness chic place. we stayed in the tents and they were fabulous. service was fantastic. would absolutely stay in again. does have a dirt road up, but i think you could do it with a low car

Booked this last minute for a night in low season. I stayed in a safari tent and it is SO beautiful. I could have stayed for days. Very warm and clean. The guys who own and run it are actually Rwandan locals, as opposed to rich foreigners everywhere else so it’s really great to be able to support local businesses. A super nice young guy who has built it up from just some small tents to what it is today. Amazing value, wonderful warm and friendly service and super comfortable. The photos online do not do it justice.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Michael, who kindly picked us up in town since the place isn’t easily found on Google. The accommodation boasts breathtaking views of the volcanoes. The garden is stunning; it’s a perfect spot to relax. The rooms are simple but spacious, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Moreover, the food was great. Rita prepared each meal with such love and care. Breakfast was always on time, and we were delighted to enjoy it in the beautiful garden, even before heading out for our Gorilla and Golden Monkey adventure. Dinner was served in a cozy outdoor meeting area which felt like a special experience every night with the charcoal heater. Michael, Jean Damour, and Frederik often joined us for a chat, making us feel like part of the family. We enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave, but we left with wonderful memories!
