I’ve been to Volivoli Beach Resort twice now, and both times were amazing. The views are stunning the ocean, the sunsets, and the peaceful surroundings make it the perfect place to relax. The food is always fresh and delicious, especially the seafood. Every meal was enjoyable, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot where you can truly unwind. I’ll definitely go back again!

Exceptionally well maintained resort-- buildings, dive boats, grounds. Exceptionally clean. Good variety of food in restaurant with good sized portions. Food a bit on the rich side, but chef will prepare something simple if requested. Lots of friendly staff to take care of you. Dive shop somewhat disorganized; had to ask everyday who was my Divemaster because no one volunteered or approached us without asking. If you don't want to be disturbed twice a day for several hours by the compressor in the dive shop, avoid cabins 973-980.

It is a beautiful and impeccably kept property with an amazing staff, with emphasis on an amazing staff. From the moment we arrived we were adorned with their warm and welcoming hospitality. A special thank you to the lovely dining room staff: Becky, Va, La, Mere, Eliki and Troy. Every meal was delicious and the “Volivoli Reef” is a must order for dessert! Also, a big thank you to Kali (an intern) who helped all around in the Dive Shop, led the traditional dances of Fiji during “Fiji Night”, and prepared and served Kava, a traditional drink (another must), in the evening, and Soni the Tour Guide who shared Fiji’s history and customs in detail. Our son and daughter-in-love said the diving was spectacular and have photos to prove it! You must plan your trip to include a Thursday night for “Fiji Night”. Our “Fiji Night” included (a surprise) celebrating our son’s birthday complete with a delicious chocolate cake and candle and the Volivoli team sing Happy Birthday! Thank you again Volivoli for making our trip to Fiji so memorable! |Love and Blessings,|Dave, Katie, Séan and Kiersten #LOV-3

Was the most Excellent Trip we have ever had. We booked the 4 bedroom house overlooking Volivoli with our older children. ||The house is a 5 bedroom new build with a huge pool, full Kitchen, bug screens, AC. ||As the house is built up higher for the views there is a small walk to reception and restaurant but there is a golf cart ready and waiting to take you to where you need to go. ||Voli has the best diving and snorkelling around, where you can tell they pride themselves on safety. ||We loved the food and when you meet the staff you can tell they are a big family. ||I couldn’t fault them!

Volivoli resort is in a beautiful, isolated location. I did not stay at the resort but ate three meals and used the scuba diving shop for two days during the month of June. Winter in Fiji seems to be a quiet season for this area, but I could not see restaurants, bars, or activities in the vicinity of the hotel beyond scuba diving. There were some tourists staying at the Volivoli resort but very few young people. All meals were delicious and expensive. The staff throughout the resort was friendly and helpful. I drove myself three hours to reach this area for a scuba diving weekend. I attempted to stay at the resort but there were much cheaper, less fancy locations nearby and I don't need expensive rates to sleep.

Stayed in the family villa and it was amazing. Food was great - La was very attentive and interesting. SCUBA was great - Tex was awesome with the kids and made sure they stayed safe.

We didn't stay on the premises, but we went on a snorkelling trip and we went for their barbecue buffet special. The snorkeling was super nice as the team was helpful and friendly. The guide showed us amazing spots and informed us about what we're seeing. The barbecue buffet was really good and service was great. They even helped us in getting taxis as it's a bit tricky to go around if you don't have a car. Recommend to go there

First, my "negatives":|1. The front desk never has any change for Fiji dollars, so if you want to tip the staff it is nearly impossible without getting a $50FD cab into town to break the $50's and $100's the ATM's and money exchanges give you. A minor issue but annoying.|2. Not really anyplace to just go for a swim due to the amount of rocks and shallow shoreline along their beach area; it's really hard to walk out to where it was deep enough (unless you want to wear shoes, which makes it hard to swim". I worked my way out to where I was standing in 5' of water and started swimming, and ran into a submerged rock that was probably 3' tall and cut my hand pretty good.|3. There is nothing here to do besides diving, or taking an excursion. They have two beat up paddleboards and a few old kayaks, but that is it in terms of activities. We did two dives each morning and then either sat at the pool or at the beach area and read. Not necessarily a negative, it forced us to relax I suppose. Read three different books and got a good tan, but a pool table, volleyball, pickleball, bocce, or something else going on in the afternoons would have been more fun. It's very possible they tried this kind of thing in the past and didn't get much participation, I don't know.||All that being said, I understand this is a divers resort. Positives:|1. The people are spectacular. Very friendly, very helpful. I think this is true of Fijians in general, as when I was in town -- getting change! -- even the people there were very friendly.|2. Food is excellent. I ate way too much, and loved all of it.|3. Rooms are clean and sufficient, good water pressure and air conditioning.|4. Diving (and snorkeling) is fantastic. I'm not a hardcore diver, we go diving if we vacation somewhere that has decent diving, but I don't choose the place to vacation based on diving. This was easily the most incredible reef diving I have ever seen, the marine life and coral was just amazing. |5. If you go, take a day to take Soni's tour to the Savulelele waterfall. As much as I loved the diving, the waterfall may have been the highlight of the trip! Worth the hour on the gravel road and the hike to get there. Highly recommended!||Other stuff:|- It's set on a hillside, so definitely some up and down to get around.|- It's very quiet, at least when we were there. There are +/-29 rooms, so in theory there should have been +/-60 people staying there (they told us it was full so figuring around 2 to a room), but I don't ever think we saw more than 20-30 at a time (at breakfast and dinner). There is no late night bar scene, the place is essentially shut down by 9pm or so. They only have about 12 chairs by the pool and another 10-12 at the beach area, and we had our pick of them all day long. I have no idea what everyone was doing all day and night...|- Prices aren't ridiculous. About $15 for a cocktail on regular hours, but they have happy hours running from 3-6pm (half price!) at one of the bars. |- It's about 2.5 hours from the airport. Roads are pretty good so it wasn't a bad ride.|- Try the Kava at your own risk! It's one of those "have to do it" things in Fiji. We were fine but the family we were traveling with had pretty serious gastro issues for a night. Go with "low tide" version (small cup) to be safe.
