Adorable place to grab breakfast in the city. We loved that this helps the local grandmas! Got the shakshuka, oat milk latte, Charlotte slice of cake, espresso, and a sandwich I can’t remember the name of. Very filling, reasonable price, cute ambience and great cause.

Awful experience. One of the older waitresses scoffed at me multiple times, which was both rude and uncalled for. I ordered a soft-boiled egg that turned out to be a bit too runny for my preference, which is fine, I wasn’t planning to complain, just leave it and move on. When she asked why I didn’t eat it, I politely explained that it was too runny for me, and she scoffed and insisted it was “perfectly cooked.” I’ve attached a photo. Personally, I expect a soft-boiled egg with firm whites and a runny yolk, but about one-third of this egg’s whites were runny, which you can clearly see on the right side where the whites have mixed into the yolk. I also didn’t finish a piece of bread, some cheese, and meat because I was full. The waitress made a scene over this, exclaiming that she would have to throw away the food I didn’t eat, drawing attention from everyone around me. As I left, I overheard her complaining about me to a neighboring table, which was shockingly unprofessional. The concept of the place is great, but the execution, and especially the service, needs serious improvement. The younger waitress was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated.

Amazing food, generous portions, good vegan, vegetarian, cheese and meat options for everyone. Lovely ladies serving. Amazing cake. €2 prosecco too! Super peaceful setting despite being so central.

This is an amazing place, with very nice staff, and great service, and the food is amazing! We ordered breakfast and got a freshly baked gluten-free bread, soft and tasty! We had a wonderful morning!☺️

So many new flavors to try here every day, and the staff is super friendly! We had lunch – the spinach lasagna was amazing with the salad, and that iced tea was so refreshing. Dessert was some kind of jam-filled cake with vanilla pudding – can't remember the name, but it was delicious.

Always a treat at Vollapension. If you are not familiar, it's like being in Grandma's living room, both design and atmosphere and food. The grannies bake their favorite cakes, and together with young staff they make you really feel at home. Love it there.

Service from a young lady when we wanted to pay the bill was very rude - scoffed at us and started complaining about "tourists" in German to another customer in the cafe. We collected the (dry) cake ourselves from another part of the cafe and the coffee was mediocre at best. She still expected us to tip. The old lady at the cake counter was lovely though, and the concept of the cafe (supporting the elderly with employment) is nice.
