Very fortunate to get a table at this restaurant just inside the castle gate. Warm welcome to us all, including a bowl of water for our dog. Ordered the Voltes salad, Brioche buns with octopus, local bacon, pickled cucumbers and onion relish and the stuffed aubergine rolls. We don't usually go for dessert, but we ordered the lemon mousse and chocolate mousse with olive oil and sea salt. All divine! Local wines too, including orange, unfiltered ones. If ever we are in the region again, we will definitely eat there.

Fantastic vibes (think wood & eclectic vintage kitsch). With an open kitchen serving up rustic dishes with a focus on celebrating local products. Paired with a solid wine list (affordable house wines, including retsina, and bottles). Friendly staff and English menus make this a local haunt for hip Greeks, plus tourists in the know (a local shopkeeper told us “either go to Voltes or back across the bridge and into town”). Don’t leave without ordering the chocolate mouse with salt and spearmint 🤤 and only €5.50 (can feed 2 people, but trust me, you want your own—it’s THAT good). Also loved the mushrooms and ham and thyme (€7.50), sfela fried cheese with apple jam (€6.50), pumpkin soup (€5), and leek with fennel soup (€5). Next time, I’ll try the meatballs, eel, and lemon mouse! And repeat the medium sweet rose mini bottle for €5.50.

Popped in for dinner with friends. Great atmosphere and service. If you are a bit of a foodie and looking for traditional dishes with a twist this is the place to go for. Highly recommended PS: They have some unfiltered orange wines on the menu, worths a try

Excellent service with friendly staff, wonderful traditional food with a modern spark. If you like wine and good mezze this is the place. Really good value for money with a super wine list. Forget the other tourist traps with just a good view. Hands down the best.

When I first saw the reviews I was wondering if this place is overhyped. Sometimes these “foodie” restaurants try to do new things that don’t quite taste right. The chefs at Voltes however have really found the balance between using traditional, local ingredients in novel and exciting ways that look and taste absolutely phenomenal!!! We loved every single dish and the excellent wine selection. Thank you for an unforgettable meal and for the great service.

Probably the best pork I have ever eaten, I had to ask for the recipe! It's slow cooked confit style for 2 days so its incredibly tender but still moist. The dishes look deceptively simple yet are well balanced and flavoursome. The pastirma pies are delicious. The food is modern mediterrean. The amount of love and skill present in these dishes is obvious. Voltes stands out from the crowd and typical greek cuisine put out on mass in tourist locations which sells short honest greek home cooking. After 4 weeks of travelling in Greece this place was a revelation and one of very few places where we visited more than once!

Love the cuisine and love the place love the service the quality of the food everything about this place was amazing. I had so much fun ordered half the menu kind of wish I had more people with me so I could order the other half I want to the sample every single thing they made. But on the bright side this gives me an amazing opportunity to return with some more friends and actually do what I should have done the 1st time.

Despite its chic looks, Voltes serves rather traditional Greek food. The potato salad and local sausages are great. But the wholewheat "lasagna" is a farce: it's actually tagliatelle—not lasagna—with a few cherry tomatoes and cheese. Although the pasta is homemade, the dish is a pretty dry and unremarkable affair. Still, Voltes is worth a try. Prices are normal: around €35 for two people (including dessert but not wine). Indoor seating only.
